Good job to Federer, but ...

the pace of shots for both players was pathetically slow. I'm not talking about court speed. Mostly moonball rallies because neither players were taking full swings at the ball. Kinda sad to watch these old guys playing. Granted, they're both amazing, but this pathetic that there are no younger players who can blow them off the court, besides Wawrinka or Kyrgios on a good day.

Djokovic can straight-set Federer in the final but he'll let Federer get 1 or 2 sets just to keep the match somewhat suspenseful for the audience. Heck, maybe he'll let Federer win.

Pro Men's Tennis is beginning to look like a joke. I'm convinced that it's as staged as WWF wrestling.

I thought Fed was pretty aggressive and at least tried to end points quickly. At the end of the day it did remind me of AO17 in that I thought both guys had major lapses in play that you'd never see in their prime.

So you’re telling me Djokovic, a guy who’s after Fed’s slam count and weeks at no. 1 record, has the ability to straight set him, but will give him a set just for ****s and giggles? And maybe the match?

I’m not saying we need to restrict these forums more but surely it can prevent threads like this from popping up.

You mean like 5th set of AO2009 by Fed?

That's because Rafa feeds from pace and you also make tons of errors trying to go for too much. Why would Fed need to play a risky game, when not needed?

Since Federer has obviously finally reached his peak prime, anything else than a 6:1 6:1 6:2 would be a huge shock to the world.
