I have a couple of kblade 98s picked up secondhand but not been able to gel with them so far. Too underpowered so I may change strings. Used to play with the 2015 version which was nearly the perfect racquet in my opinion.

Seriously interested in the new v7 blades

I like the new update V7, its a "feel thing", difference,
they new material "quiets", the funny vibrations and makes the racquet very comfortable to use
got to hit with it 2x so far, with the blade 98 16/19 and the blade.104 16/19,, both were easy to swing through the air with the 1HBH,, more hitting needed but, so far so good
btw, I was comparing it on court with the 2013 (V4), version blade 98,, and also the V6 blade 104 18/16 racquets i had on hand
like I mentioned, it was the lack of vibration/speed/comfort that were standout to me
exclusive, blade users would be able to give a better feel input on this new update

My two favorites are the 2015 and blx (brown one). Although haven’t yet tried the v7.

I'm interested in Blade 104. What about comfort? Power? Can you compare it maybe with some of the Textreme Prince racquets?

@lima no, im not a prince guy, at all..
but i like the power and control from the v7blade104
it was easy to swing the 1hbh, bit of a surprice, most 100+ racquets fight me when dealing with the 1hbh topspin, but this one was nice and easy enough,, living up to its lineage,, "blade", cuts through the air nicely

I see it is 60ra. Does it feel plush or flexy? Comfort is good?

not flexible like the Wilson.ultra.tour!!, but not hard like the previous v6blade104, best way I can describe right now "correct"=right on the money,,
best thing I can say, I hit with the 4 rakets listed above for about 1hr and some doubles earlier in the day, no arm pain today..
good sticks, good update by Wilson, a worth while demo before purchase imo..

2015 by far for me. Also liked the BLX 98 quite a bit. I don't know what they did with the countervail ones but I really disliked them.

got to hit with the blades again today, me and another guy commented on the weight
the new one v7 is slightly heavier than the v6 blade 104
and as such, heavier means more plow through!!, and this goes back to your question of power!!

I have two Blades... technically speaking.

The 2015 18x20 Blade - I like it very much. The only thing that has to change for me is the balance. Bought new, came strung with a Syn Gut or something (even though I asked for Unstrung). Played it with just an overgrip and rubberband. Will be customizing it for a more HL balance (just my preference).

I also have a Pro Stock Blade 98 (2013 glossy paint job) from a top 30 Pro player - Superb. I changed the balance and added just a smidge of weight in the head to further increase sweet spot and stability in the hope that it goes from "Superb" to "Bomb Proof Opponent Annihilator".

I also haven't tried the v7 Blade... but it sounds very promising.

I also use a pro stock blade 98 but in the 2015 glossy paint job. I believe under the PJ is the 2013 wilson blade. It's a definite solid performer because it has a natural sw of 335 strung.

I'll try out the v7 blade if anyone I know brings it out to the court.

You tried the v7 Blade?
Yes, I have the 18x20 & 16x19 demos with me.
My 2 cents: The v.7 Blade is 1000% better than the Counterfail Blades. The v.7 Blade is very solid for its weight. Good plow-through but underpowered, especially on serve and outside the sweet spot. Very string sensitive stick (I tried a variety of set-ups). Definitely, recommend a low tensioned thin 'softer' co-poly or hybrid. The v.7 Blade feels a lot like the n-Blade (2006)... so much that I'm even skeptical that there's actually any new tech inside (FlexFeel) and quite possibly a recycle job. The 16x19 is better than the 18x20 from the baseline and on serve. The 18x20 shines at the net and on a heavy slice. IMO, the v.7 is 4th best Blade behind the K-Blade (2008), Blx Blade (2011), and Amplifeel Blade (2012/2013).
**Note: I own every iteration of 98 sq in of the Blade series (except the Counterfails which I've sold).

What happen to the 2015 model?

5th IMO. The reason I didn't rank it higher was that it had an inconsistent string bed, especially with the 16x19. It was very string setup sensitive. The 18x20 was better but lacked spin and had a big dead area at the top of the string bed.
Cheers.

I haven't use the K blade, but I used the 2011 a lot and as a result did not like the amplifeel version much.

I'd rate v7 -> 2011 -> amplifeel.

v7 has really nice power for me. I'd rank it above a traditional players frame and below a power tweener. Most importantly, defense -I can still turn a defensive shot into offense with this frame, which is a staple trait of a tweener. With the v7 blade I do not lose that advantage, I just lose a little power but gain a ton of control.

You don't have the guts to be what you wanna be? You need people like me. You need people like me so you can point your ' fingers and say, "That's the bad guy." So... what that make you? Good? . You just know how to hide, how to lie. Me, I don't have that problem. Me, I always tell the truth. Even when I lie. So say good night to the bad guy! Come on. The last time you gonna see a bad guy like this again, let me tell you. Come on. Make way for the bad guy.

I had both 2013 and 2015 versions. I know the 2015 version is the most well liked but for me I'm going for the 2013. It was my first players frame and I used it a lot for lessons drills etc along with matches and have never played better with any frame

Can you please clarify which of the two rackets you are referring to? (16x19 or 18x20)

Demoed the black/silver Amplifeel back when it was new but didn’t like it. Too much swingweight for me at that point.

I’m happily using the v7 18x20 now. I love it, but the serve has taken me months to groove.

I find I really have to make sure I’m loose and relaxed and just let that swingweight go to work to get the best out of it. Can get some really nasty serves out of it that way.

Love hitting overheads with this thing. Melts the ball and sounds like a gun going off.

Keen to try the nBlade and 2015!

Tried to make a switch from my 2013 18x20 blade leaded up to the ultra tour leaded up with little success. The ultra tour is great, but idk, it's just not the same feeling. Honestly, this will probably be the last time I attempt at a switch. Officially accepting my fate as permanent 2013 user. With lead at 3/9, it feels like i'm swinging a club with how much weight is already in the head but the power and control for me do it.
Any one else still using the 2013??

From experience, I've not liked any of the Blades that I've hit with. But from talking to a few friends, I'm desperate to get my hands on the v7 18x20 but no one is selling used ones right now!!!

2015 and 2013 16x19. The 2015 is the best feeling racquet I know of but the 2013's harshness, pop and power is like adrenaline, it makes me play better (i.e. attack more), so I chose this.

Seeing as you love the VCP97 HD, I’m pretty sure it’s the balance and weight distribution of the Blade that doesn’t jive with you. Probably feels like it doesn’t come through quick enough?
