Have had some arm issues lately, did a little experiment last week playing alternate sets with a Prince Phantom and a Ki 15 PSE. Arm felt better with the PK stick, less shock to the arm, less effort required to hit penetrating shots.
interesting how in the Phantom thread folks claim it's more comfortable than PK...

Interesting how in the PK thread folks claim it’s more comfortable than a Phantom. Some people don’t like PK and others don’t like Prince. Feel is subjective.

KI15 is a 105'' racquet plus has Kinetic sand which both improves its comfort, even if it doesn't possess Phantom's flex or ports. Ports make Phantom efectively as having a larger head size, so it's basically Kinetic vs. Phantom's flex.

Why not so many people try-buy pro kennex ? I wanted to know how the q+ tour pro 300 or 325 play like, there are no comparison with other sticks on the web

Because when less advertised and with no big sponsored names behind, players consider them as being inferior.

If you search back a bit, you'll see my comparison of the Q+5Pro vs. Q+5ProTour 325 if you mean those.
FWIW, I liked them better than the Phantom too but maybe it was the strings because they had different strings from the TW demo.

I thought the Q+5 Tour Pro 325 felt like a Redondo w/ Kinetic beads FWIW.

Last PK I played with was the Redondo! I loved but it was lacking on serve. You had to work hard on serve and only able to produce a 2nd serve. I'm getting a 300 that will be delivered tomorrow and I'll take it on the court Thursday
My experiences too. Really nice soft flex and solid feel but I also didn't hit my best (first) service with it.

Are there similar racquets to the pro kennex ki q+ tour 300 in terms of butter feeling and connection to the ball?

I don't know, people talk about tecnifibre or pt57a or tc95 regarding their flexy butter feeling, is it similar to the pro kennex?

the Q+5 Pro is...a lovely blend of punch, forgiveness and feel.

The latest line has an awful name (the Q+ thing is confusing and difficult to distinguish from past lines) but I've found the sticks themselves to be superb, very well made.

Anyway, a start.
I’m on board! The Q+5 Pro...what a cannon on serves! Boom! Holy smokes. :D

My current stick : ki q+ tour pro 325.

Leaded up a bit (around 10grams), real deal if you ask me, Im really satisfied with it.

Ive never played before with PKs, and when I saw the specs, I knew this sticks were perfect for me. Took'em without demoing, excelente !!!!!!!!!

I bought the outgoing version of the Q+5 Pro. Great all around frame. I got a #5 grip, and strung with WC Silverstring 17, it weighed 327 grams (real close to TW's specs) but I put it on my Alpha balance beam and it was 8.5+ almost 9 pts headlight. I ended up adding 20" of TW tungston tape to 3&9 (5" strips 2 on each side) This weighs 7.5 grams, so now it comes in at 335 grams and 7 pts headlight, which is right where I like it. No tailweighting. I don't use an overgrip, just a #64 rubberband. It's great. I do wonder how it came in so headlight. I didn't think Silverstring 17 was that light. Maybe the #5 grip made it more headlight. Doesn't really matter, it turned out great with the weight at 3&9 and now it's perfect. I'll buy more in that grip size..

Replaced my Yonex Vcore 89 with this Ki Q+ Tour Pro 325g. It is a perfect fit. I need not adjust any of my strokes to this frame. I am an all court player, and am comfortable attacking from baseline. This racquet has very good pop and very good feel. Some say the feel is muted, but I don't find that to be the case. Maybe it is better because I am using a leather grip. It is a very safe racquet when I attack the ball deep with pace, it seldom goes long. I strung this racquet up with IQ Hexa 1.18mm at 58 pounds. I usually use a L3 grip with a leather grip and 1 over grip, but this time, i am using an L2 with a leather grip and 2 over grips having the first non-overlapping. Very good quality and qc, i am having 2 rackets with the exact same weight and balance @ 360g each. So far, i am impressed by the quality. My first pro kennex was in 1996, using their first Kinetic 5G which my dad got for me to try in my teens. Never forget the shots and serve thay developed me into today's player.

Took my recent acquisition, PK Micro Mid 93" 22x30 8pts HL 12.8oz/364g newly strung with 16g Prince Premier Control at 30/32lbs, for a hit. Not close to the worst playing racket I have had, but I need to find some different strings and monkey around with tension. I was going to use some 18g OGSM but decided to try the only multi I have. Takes 48ft of 16g to string this thing and a bit of time weaving those crosses. PK factory strung these with 19g Syn Gut (try to find some 19g syn gut:) PK recommended string tension is like 29-42lbs.

I was really curious about this one especially with the 8 mains in the throat ProKennex Ki Q+ 5 Pro Racquet. Why do they have such complicated model names???

Wow!
Love that string pattern. Begging for uncoated, old school natural gut?!

I bought the last version. The TW specs were 7 pts HL balance. Mine came in at 8.5 to 9 pts HL strung with Silverstring 17. I added a TW Tungsten tape to 3 & 9 until it balanced out to 7 pts HL. It's a nice frame: 21.5mm beam is not to thick or thin; the 100 inch frame is forgiving and the 16x20 string pattern with 8 holes in the throat is a nice blend of spin & control. Nice frame to try out.

I'd try Prince Premier Control.
I installed 16g Prince Premier Control after I cut out the 35 yr old OEM string. But I either strung it too low or it is simply too thick for this racket because I don't really like it right now. I am currently using an 18x20 Volkl Tour 10 93 and a Wilson ROK 93, both at 12.10oz at 343g. The PK MM feels like a slingshot compared to the other two 93's.

I used the Black Ace when it first came out, then the Ceramic Dominator. Then I switched to the Ceramic Destiny. Later I switched to 5G, then ki 5. I also played 1 season with the ki 15, which was a lot harsher on the arm than any of the other Pro Kennex rackets I've used. Finally, I bought a couple of ki10s, but they only made them for a few years, so getting pieces for them was going to get hard. I played 1 season with the Type S, and have played with the Asymmetric 95 (the softest racket I've ever used). And who could forget those stints with the Golden Ace. What a hoot.

I'm out of my depth with 22x30 :)
I'd try thinner if that was the original recommendation.

I restrung it with Zyex 17g prestretched so is like 18L diameter. 38/40lbs, plays better but still a bit "sling shotish." Going to try 18g Ashaway Kevlar x 17g Zyex next after a few more hitting sessions with fullbed Zyex 17g.

Won't going thinner make it even more slingshot? - more pocketing?
There might be a reason so many mains and crosses died out??

PK have some great sticks. The current Q Plus Tour 325 is one of my favourites, so solid yet comfortable and priced realistically compared to what Wilson, Head and Babolat are charging for their frames right now.
Looking back I really love what PK did with their Core 1 frames, it would be great if they could give this idea another go. At the time when they were realised many people did not appreciate the technology but maybe this time it could be different.

Going resurrect this bad boy as I just ordered a Q+5 Pro and will share my impressions here once I get it.

Additionally we have new PKs releasing later this month. And they appear to have some pretty nice PJs.

I am a big fan of the 7G, just have moved away from XL frames. I credit Mikeler for finding that one, as I had a pretty bad wrist injury and he recc'd the frame . It was a big help in my recovery and it also felt and played fantastic.

My racquet of choice for the last few years is the extended 27.5" PK Q+5X Pro (310). I'm using Fairway leather grip and few grams of lead at the hoop. Strung specs: Weight - 345 g, Swingweight - 346, Balance - 31.4 cm, Twistweight - 15.5, Recoilweight - 189, Polarization index - 0.545, MGR/I - 20.11.
Very happy with this racquet, tested more than 30 frames in the past and still own several other frames like Prince, Volkl, Wilson, etc. but keeping them just for experiments with lead tape and measurements.

+1.

Now I am back to Q+5 Pro. Playing with it for a month.

It plays awesome with few grams of lead in the hoop and a shaped poly. Still experimenting with different strings.

Yep, I added 2 grams to 12 and so far that has been great. I use a mildly shaped poly in Tour Sniper 1.25 at 52#s and it plays fantastic.

I'm really enjoying the Qtour 300 (2018). Kind of curious to try the 315/325 versions as well as the new Black Ace. Previously used the redondo mid, it had the best racket feel when you hit the sweetspot clean, unfortunately for me it wasn't that often.

Have you got a link to the new paint jobs?

I demoed the Tour 325g. Recommend to anyone who likes that type of racquet as it's on sale for 99 euros on TWE right now.

Any experience with the Q+ 5X (27.5" version)?
Demoed from a friend; this would work for who prefer XL frames. Played lighter than I thought. This also does not feel as 67 RA. Better on serves as expected, compared to standard.

I liked a shaped poly like Your Bite or Genesis Trionic in either.

I've actually just demoed this racquet again and have to recommend it. It's just so stable and consistent. It honestly feels quite difficult to miss with it.

Gentlemen - 4/21 is coming. Where will you be? What stores will you lurk? What frames will you buy?

Personally, going for the new Q+5Pro Banana.
