4 of the last 5 slams won too. Good luck tonight Nole, hoping for another crazy match.

He’s still the fittest of the 3, that’s for sure. But he’s no superhero, Hitman. Young Nadal could eat can of Tabasco and then beat up Fed with injured knees, but in 2018 we all saw how the knee story ended at USO.
Ehh.. I knew it was too much to ask from Novak. Hopefully a quick recovery.

Over the course of the summer, some posters who I thought were ok have turned out to be really vile.

I’m crying for Novak just because of everything. He can’t win. How good would it be if he just stood there and got aced and made DFs, all just so he could give Stan a “good win”? That makes no sense. From the middle of the 2nd set, Nole was just done.

I hope he heals well and tries not to play through the pain again.

It was just perfect that he retired hurt, If he had played on, i wouldnt have like Nole to get humiliated more. Novak owes the crowd just ****all. i still remember the disrespectful way they behaved in 2015 final..

Now he has to realise that he cant just show up in 4 Tournaments a year and win them all. There are Tournaments in between for a reason. There are ranking points, there is you dont give your opponents confidence by them winning and you not participating at all.

He barely scraped through WImbledon, i knew the warning signs were there. He got away because WImbledon suits his 3,4 strikes tennis with an accurate serve.

I think Novak quit because he knew he wouldn't beat Stanimal coming from 2 sets down to win in 5 sets. Plus, given how much it would take out of him for the rest of the tournament, including any potential match with Fed and/or Nadal. It was always going to be a tough draw going through, Stan, Medvedev, Federer and Nadal, with a dodgy shoulder. If he couldn't rip his backhand cross-court or down the line against any of those players at full power, he was unlikely to take the title. And that is ultimately what he was interested and wanted; not falling to any of Medvedev, Fed or Rafa if he got through. Not that he would have probably come back against Stan anyway, given this is the man who has stopped him winning 4 further Majors in the last 5 years.

With that in the back of his mind, he was a beaten man once Stan broke him at the beginning of the third set. Does it slightly diminish his legacy slightly? Well, that is up for debate.

Djokovic knew since the start of tournament that he can't win it ,but played few rounds maybe bcoz Number 1 is on the line . These points will be useful at business end of WTF to save No. 1 ranking
.
Even after giving Fed one of his Worst defeat in his career at Wimby , Novak fans were so classy and didn't make life difficult for fed fans on this forum ,except 2-3 trolls. Proud of nolefam but I think Fed fanatics on this forum dont deserve decency .

Whereas , Fed fans as usual have made a mockery out of Novak's injury in 4th round . Reading all their comments now . few fed fans are good but 90% are very vile and acidic .
Nadal fans on the other hand are being silent and being classy ..

Nadal will win US19 and I hope Djoker recuperates and wins WTF19 and Aussie open 20 . Forum will be fun then

Was Jelena at his matches? Wonder if it's also a personal issue.
Of course it is a personal issue! She can't trust him or any nannies!!! And his parents attended so she had to watch the kids. I am pretty sure that if his dad wasn't in the audience at Wimbledon, Novak would have won that much easier. I wonder if her parents work still hence can't come help with the kids. I think she is good luck to Novak, unlike that nasty father of his.

Novak is on his 268th week as #1, which ties him with Jimmy Connors in 4th spot. Needs two more weeks to tie Lendl in 3rd.
Will be tough for him to maintain this position and finish YE#1 also, as Nadal with winning yesterday has an advantage going into the fall.

Just wanted to say I am done posting regularly here.

2019 has brought me so much. Yes, Djokovic has had a season to remember, displaying one of his finest Australian Open clinics and pulling off for me the most stunning escape ever at Wimbledon. I will regularly look back at both of these highlights as one of my favorites during my 13 years of supporting Earth's Mightiest Warrior.

And after much searching, I have found a guy to root for in the future. Medvedev caught my eye in Melbourne during his resistance against Djokovic and has now won me over during this summer. After having a favorite in the 90s, 00s and 10s who all brought so many great moments, I know who will be my guy for the 2020s. I have my own Big 4. The tennis entertainment shall continue, and if he is anywhere near as good as the previous three guys, even better.

hH84gry.jpg

But most importantly, after a very, very long wait, I finally became a father last month, while my older sister is expecting her first baby too, due next month. The most important thing in life that I began to fear I would never experience has finally happened to me, and it's given me so much happiness, energy and will to improve myself further and help the family even more. This combined with all of my work shall remain my top priority for the rest of my days.

Congratulations to Nadal on a great season of his own and to Federer on his incredible Wimbledon run that deserves all the praise even though it didn't finish the way he wanted. Without them there wouldn't be Djokovic the way he is, so I am thankful to them for pushing him to improve every day, resulting in the Golden Age of tennis. Before the Mad Lad takes over, I hope they give us a few more battles in the next year or two.

This is not a farewell it was nice knowing you post. It's see you around post. I will drop by before the end of the year, as well as make the occasional visit during Slams. But I just wanted to say now that it was so fun talking to all of you, from serious tennis discussions, through all the joking around and all the way to the occasional trolling. I leave with mostly positive memories here and thanking you all for making it an enjoyable free time for me here.

Take care my most stunning NoleFam, as well as Maestronians, VamosBrigade and all others. Hugs to you all.

Will miss seeing you around as much, but it's nice to know you'll be here still. Congrats on the new members of your family, and I hope they grow over the next few years into happy, healthy kids.

It's been a pleasure. See you soon. :)

No comment needed, Novak is one of a kind. Class act.
Hope to see him finish year strong and be healthy and ready for AO2020.
