You’re standing in the aisle waiting for your call, to enter into the grand amphitheatre where you can stake your claim for further legendary status:

Do you

a) Focus on the task at hand, and give yourself, your opponent, the fans and the tournament the respect it deserves giving your undivided attention?

Or

b) Play with your iPhone and social media. And then check it again once you’ve entered the amphitheater?

The US open final result not a surprise now hey!...

Its to bad she is having issues winning slam finals. But others have as well. All she can do is keep putting herself in positions to win and hopefully get lucky.

You do realise headphones is “audio” and with audio that means SOUND. Typically used in circumstances to focus - where is the social media button on that one?

Idk why you keep insisting that it was "social media." Do you have a screenshot of what she was looking at on her phone?

Beyond the point whether it’s social media or not. The fact she is expending effort on phone moreso than focussing on her match shows why she was always going to lose. Time for her to retire.

Phone or no phone she wasn’t winning yesterday. That didn’t put me off. The embarrassment that I saw is that Patrick carries her bag for her. That’s pathetic at best.

it wasn't the phone pre-match come on. Look at her preparation and footwork that's the real key she's stumbling around the court falling into shots not in balance not moving feet no quick steps to the ball. her age and weight are catching up to her. her Superior upper-body strength can carry her because she can still make amazing shots even off balance and her serve still be one of the best but against the top echelon she's getting broken down. Now if you want to argue that her focus on social media and other personal things are keeping her from training enough/eating well enough to stay light and fit and able to move her feet okay sure but that's not something that just happened pre-match.

Are you kidding? She was most likely listening to music through her phone. A lot of pros do that to keep calm before a match.
