Nadal vs Kyrgious LC decider tomorrow would be electric.

europe puts their picks first so if they do put out nadal, nick will obviously play him but i do wonder if they will put nadal twice tomorrow, because i know fedal has to happen here or people will be dissapointed. i assume they will put fed and sascha again too, i am guessing fabio is out, they aer taking their chances on him again but yeah.

damn i always instantly regret rooting for team world when i see isner and fritz there. i have to also just block out sock partially for teh doubles to root for team world

It probably is a brilliant piece of entertainment, but it's really hard to take this clowns' competition serious. Why not have it during the offseason?

You are right about Becker. He doesn’t even hide it. On German Eurosport he constantly talks about on court coaching and laments that it should be allowed. And he regularly explains how he communicated with Djokovic during the matches. The other commentator is always also in favour of such methods. And both think that the blatant cheating of Becker/Djokovic is quite okay, because "everybody does it".

But in all honesty, surely someone who says that Toni was coaching Rafa during matches isn’t wrong. Do you really want to deny that it happened?

Fed devotees have always tried to blame Toni for Fed's losses to Rafa. :)

That would be too much of course. But I hope you admit that Toni indeed broke the rules multiple times. Surely others did it as well, but that doesn’t make it right.

I’m not one who denies Rafa’s greatness and I would never suggest he needed Toni’s on-court help to win big matches. I would rather say it’s good for Rafa that Toni isn’t always with him anymore.

any tsitsipas fan out there know if he is a good actor becaus he looked pretty sad after the loss and rafa had to be like its okay, we have another day ahead of us

Ll thats amazing but also i can imagine intense. I know a lot of ppl flew from all over for this event. Lmao thiem said he never headd anything as loud as when roger came out on Friday on court, i had to turn my volume down
The noise during that super tiebreaker in the Kyrgios game ....watching that was almost worth the cost on its own.

@Rabin your boy came through as usual with the reactions and his wrist looked to be alright in the singles too ( i think)

meanwhile sascha is like i had faith in my dad all along. but omg i think rafa was more nervous than fed

Love it! Glad it's on ES this year, they actually have the matches on hold and I can watch it later.

Just saw the clip of Rafa asking Tsitsi to explain his hand signals and Roger dying in the background :-D

Haven't had time to look through the thread to see if anyone picked up Nick hitting Rafa?

l had a very good view from my seat and I thought it was absolutely deliberate. He had time and space to put that shot somewhere else.

was it the shot where it hit nadal's leg, and ended up back on the other side of the court?

Why the hell is Rafa playing another match? And back to back, too. Why did they even take Thiem and Fog along if it's just Fed/Rafa/Zverev playing.

Rabin

Oh wait, they can seal it with the doubles already, can't they? Fedal better win, Rafa doesn't need another match, least of all against Nick.

they are giving them what the fans want. i figured they wouldn't play fognini after the disaster but was sure they would play thiem and actually nadal wouldn't play singles again but they know what the fans played for as well. rafa is probably feeling better than people think and maybe thiem just isnt up to it

Just watched Roger-Kyrgios today: I liked this match, although I've laughed at my friend from Canada who went to Swizerland to watch tennis, instead of going to Mont-Blanc, Matterhorn, Jungrafu, Eiger and the likes.

I mean spent a couple more days in the area, rent a car and hike or go up with the cable car on some of the greatest mountains in the world, goofie! :)

no it has to be first to 13. so if they win it would just be 10, if fedal win, rafa will be the deciding match. mighty nice of roger lmao , possibly giving rafa the chance to be the sealing deal for team europe like how roger was in 2017 and sascha in 2018. you know even a tired rafa would revel at the idea of winning it for europe.

tbqh i on the other hand kind of want a world win or well part of me does anyway. im stuck between a rock and hard place when i see the likes of isner and fritz though because i cant stand them

Hmm. I remember Fed devotees dreamed about Toni stopping travelling with Rafa.

The doubles match is 50/50 maybe a slight edge to Sock and Isner. If they can win that it will be close otherwise that's all she wrote.

I hope it goes to the last match.

It's going to be very annoying if Kyrgios will even the head to head due to a win in LC. These matches should never count in head to head.

Federer wants Nadal to get injured so much, that’s absurd.

Putting him against big hitters and also in back to back singles/doubles matches.

That’s the worst type of enemy – the one that pretends to be your friend.

that kind of pressure on sascha though? tbh fedal were a bit fortunate last time to win, id say rafa covered for fed mostly with fed coming up with some good stuff at the end, they also play jack/isner vs isner/querrey i think it was in 2017.

nick vs nadal...idek because nick might try too hard, and you have fed who can help out, although i'll admittedly be on the wrong side of life to speak with rafa vs nick.

Ah, I see. Well Nick/Rafa is drama at least. Will Fed ban the underhand serve tomorrow to get his boy the win? :p

I'm Europe all the way. Hopefully Fedal win and Rafa remembers that he actually knows how to serve and sends Nick packing.

Djokovic is probably in on it, too. I bet they drew on fake mustaches to fake twirl as they came up with their plan to decimate Rafa via two two-set matches, one of which Fed will be playing in. Will Fed keep banana peels in his pocket to litter the court with do you think?

Knowing Federer, I won’t be suprised at all. And Nadal still won’t realize what’s this man about.

Zverev has a 1-2 h2h with Raonic, with that the loss today and like you said the pressure it would be very interesting to see. I fancy Nick to play out of his skin against a fatigued Nadal and win but who knows as Nadal and the home crowd will be well up for it!

lol tbh that would be the consensus for most people, but im sacriligeous like that. tbh its more that i dont want people to drone on about how close world is and how LC is stupid because europe always wins.

Oh I’m sure Federer is ready to spend half of his gazillions from Uniqlo for the sake of one exact number.

im sorry but if fed is a greedy establishment person, so is nadal. i dont get this talk about how fed is the only fraud here and how rafa is some naive person being strung along, cut it out. you are also insulting rafa here, he has a mind of his own and contrary to popular belief he can say no to roger, he has that clout

icedevil0289

G.O.A.T.
rafa's family is here as well, i guess they are all fools for loving this event, i saw his parents and his sister cheering him on. you had his academy tweet about as well.

also if he flops the rest of the season who the hell cares, he just won 2 slams and is 1 away from fed. there was a strong chance he might do that with or without this event

I say Rafa should make a deal with Fed - all the Uniqlo millions in exchange for Rafa playing right-handed from now on. Then Rafa bribes AO/WC/USO directors. All events are played on clay from now on. Rafa, right-handed, wins them all and becomes the ultimate GOAT. The long con.
