Tried the the new Tflash this weekend and what an awesome raquet it is! Im 43 years old and need the extra humph. I normally play with a Tfight 300 but in gonna switch to Tflash. Tecnifibre is really making moves. I hope I can try the new T305 too.

Yep. I've been playing a lot lately with the tflash CES 300 and it is now my go to racquet for everything. It is definitely an upgrade in all areas compared to the power stab version imo. I really wish that Technifibre would make an extended length plus model of it.

I have tf40 coming in.
I am very curious how it compares to my new blade v7
The 305 spec wise compares very well. Slightly less plough due to a lower swing weight but a much cleaner (less muted) feel off the string bed. Response is closer to a Strike but with zero arm discomfort.

That was interesting indeed. Especially the contradiction around the balance point of 305. If 310 mm is correct, you could easily add some weight in the hoop to get more plow through without it becoming too head heavy.

I think you'll find that was a printing/ labeling error from Tecnifibre rather than anything else.

Review from TN is out !

Not sure why but I was under the impression the TF40 was much softer, until I read 67 RA from his review... looks like it should play like the TT310, which I don’t think is soft at all

I found some extensive measurements of a TF40 305 on Racquet Quest:

An RA value of 60 (RDC) is mentioned, but they probably measured only one frame while as far as I know TW measures a batch and publishes an average. Another value I notice is a head size of 96.6 sq. inch, which was discussed here before if I remember correctly.

The Nerd is right. With a bit more sparse string pattern, as an option, and an easier way to add some weight in the handle would make 305 even better.

TF40 already sold out on TW Europe... Looks like sales are good....or supply very bad ;)

Just finished playing a couple of hours with my TF40, and overall, I'm pretty impressed.

I just sold my Blade V7 16x19, which is a very nice frame, but something about the blade balance/feel was a bit off for me, even after trying to add weight at the handle. I mention this as I see the V7 18x20 is often compared to the T40. I can understand why, but the feel is very different. The Blade has a super plush feel; muted, but nice, with a lot of plow. The T40 feels very, very solid, in some way reminiscent of the IG Prestiges (but not the same), but with a modern, more direct feel, with no apparent (hidden) discomfort (like on the Pure Strike).

It's very solid on impact. It ate up first serves with no flutter, and made me elevate my game a few notches. It's a bit sluggish, but that prob comes down to it being a new racket. Great so far.

Which version and what level do you play at and what style, please? :)

I have a TF40 315g coming in a couple days. What are people stringing it at to get a little more easy pop? I typically string at 45/42, but that's with 16x19 frames. I don't have a lot of experience with 18x20 patterns.

I'm thinking lower? Will be using a 1.25 shaped poly. Thanks!

T40 305, strung with MSV Focus HEX Plus 25 1.20 @46 lbs.
Keeping it safe the first time out due to the fear of getting TE again.

Level 4.5
(4.0 when my movement is poor and I play aggressive, hard hitting 4.5'ers)

Aggressive all-court; like to be aggressive with my FH from the baseline, punish shorter balls and attack the net.
I (used to) like to go for huge top spin and push the opponents back, but from 4.5 and upwards, flatter attacking strokes steal more time from the fast baseliners, and the TF40 fits the bill. It brings back memories to the (first) Pure Strike Tour, which was a flat hitter's dream imo.

Thanks for the extra details! I need to try the tf40 305! :)

Did you or anyone else notice if the tf40 has a slightly smaller head than the blade 98, or if it feels like it does?

I have both racquets and it does have a smaller head size. The head feels closer to an ultra tour or pro staff. Another site measured it to be 96.6 square inches.

Unf I sold the V7 Blade, so I can't compare, but it feels like a 98, similar to the second gen Pure Strike f.inst.

This racket is what the Pro Staff 97 (315 g) should have been. It has a rock steadiness similar (but not identical) to the RF97A.
It also manages to be more solid feeling than the PS (gen2) without the arm discomfort - so far. Last time I ripped similar hard flat shots was with the Pure Strike Tour.
There's something about an 18x20 pattern that can harness a soft/powerful poly and generate a lot of controllable pace.

I've really enjoyed both the new blade and the TF40, and I'm hoping I can get accustomed to the Tec, or perhaps counterbalance it a bit.

I'm still not sure about size 2 vs size 3. I like size 3 w/o overgrip, but ime, I need overgrip as the bare grip gets worn down. Should I buy my second TF40 in size 2? Can't return it after buying unf ...

I'll try mine in stock form first but I'll probably switch to a leather grip (plus overgrip) to make it a bit more like my previous frames, a tad more head light and a little heavier overall, that is.

Got my tf40 305 3 days ago strung it up but I had to leave for a trip immediately after so I am dying to hit with it when I come back (maybe tomorrow)

Went to Maine and I was thinking it’s going to be too cold to take my racquets with me but turns out 50degrees is not that bad.

Now I regret not taking my tennis gear

You travel too much. Lets concentrate on what’s important and some more tennis with the TF40 :-D

So I hit with it at the wall little bit today and I’m pleasantly surprised how good it is.
Few random thoughts that I was thinking as I was trying it out:

It’s like a better version of pure strike tour even at 305 grams

They must be magicians over at Tecnifibre somehow at same or close specs to the blade they made it just as comfortable as the v7 blade but just as stable as pure strike tour and more importantly usable at low weight for me (one handed bh)

At stock weight I have zero problems on my backhand while with the blade I definitely had issues until I slapped more weight in the handle via leather grip.

Yes this thing has old HEAD style handle.

As you might or might not know I was going between new strike tour and new blade. At least preliminary this thing is a perfect blend of the two and perhaps my next racquet.

Almost strangely I don’t see a need to add weight to it. I cannot explain it because with the blade had to.

It’s hard to explain it’s feel: muted comfort and firm in the same time with perfect amount of flex this is what pure strike should have been. Blade has more flexible Head...

Next is playing a league match with it and see

Hitting little more on the wall and this thing is money. I feel that this stick can cover such a wide array of players out there that its unbelievable.

Really congrats to Tecnifibre for this product.
Easy access to spin on par with Pure Trike tour only that one was 16x19 !!!!!!!!! crazy.
Keep hitting and asking how is this possible? How can racquet be solid like six one 95 thats 330g at only 305 grams?

How can one handed be effortless like it is on rf97a (you know when you just swing relaxed through the contact and it just produces nice backhand wo forcing)?

The answer is optimized weight distribution and quality craftsmanship! I’ve always enjoyed Tec frames, even their tweeners. I have blade v7 blinders on but now I’m intrigued, THANKS haha.

Already got mine and compared it side by side with my Blade V7 16x19.

It's a very great stick but I was feeling like I got less control than with my Blade... I don't know if that's related to the lower swingweight of the TF40 or to the fact that I strung it with ice code...

But sensations and confort are good. Will try it again tommorrow

Today was a little bit disappointing but that was prob down to the indian rather than the (bow and) arrow, I guess :)

That being said, I can really subscribe to the comparison to the 6.1 95. I bought and sold the 2019 version a few weeks ago, but that didn't feel as solid as the TF40. It's not a magic wand or wholy grail, but it feels and plays very, very solid. Feels more solid than the DG97 and VCP97 330g.

Not to sound 100% positive I absolutely hate the paint job and thickness of the beam. Luckily those two things do not negatively impact performance
