Ok. 6 finals in a row is crazy achievment. He could won 5 if luck was just a little bit on his side.

But,common it's all about Slams.
As long as Medo never win any GS, all M1000 and crazy form is IF,IF,IF...

I would still prefered Gaudio 2004 season over Medvedev 2019 ANY DAY.

Not overrated, just means very little in the grand scheme if he does not win a slam soon. An early loss at AO? Well...

If it was all about slams then why do people think Murray was so good??????????

Rublev is probably the only thing possible keeping him from 7. We'll have to see if it plays out or not and then see the Vienna draw, but he just might go 8 in a row.

So does Wawa, yet most people rank Murray as better than him ...who's not very sharp now?
To be fair, Murray reached SF and Finals all the time at slams. He lost to prime/peak Fed, Djoker, and Rafa 18 times at slams from QF on. So Murray had impressive runs in slams.

Med Bear has had one? Against an aging big 3. While this has been an impressive run, it means nothing in the grand scheme if he is not winning slams... and real soon.

And how many Masters 1000 does Murray have compared to Wawrinka ? GS finals ? How consistent was Murray compared to him ? Titles ? Olympics Gold ? Has Wawrinka even reach world's number 1, heck has even reach 2 ?

You evaluate again your post, Mishter !!!!

Go back to OP. "But come on. It's all about slams".

Have other players achieved more? Of course they have.

I've watched him play live and on tv and don't really enjoy his brand of tennis much.

But is 6 finals in one year (so far) with wins over quality opponents insanely over-rated? Of course not, it's a great achievement.

Again, Murray has 3 Majors
Excellent, we're on the same page. So, if it's "all about slams", and Murray and Wawrinka have the same number of slam titles, they have equal careers? Again, referring to OP assertion that it's "all about slams" when claiming that Meds recent accomplishment is over rated, then providing an example where 2 players have the same number of slam titles, but one (due to other accomplishments, perhaps like this run Med is on) had a better career.

I watched Med v Federer live at the Miami Open this year. After watching that match, it didn’t cross my mind Medvedev would go on to have such an amazing rest of the year. What I saw that day to now is completely different. Impressive and good on him

I never said I agreed with that statement "all about the Slams ".

In the same way I do not agree that Murray =Wawa in terms of stature and greatness

Will he play in Moscow, Vienna, Paris, London and Madrid (Davis Cup)?
He is very young, but if he fulfills all that tournament calendar and assuming that he is doing very well in those places, he will be fused not only to the WTF but he could suffer some injury that could complicate his preseason with a view to the next AO 2020.
I imagine that he will not reach that extreme and sooner or later he will quickly lose which will relieve his recovery for the important goals that Russian has in the short term.

So if you are a perfect husband or a father for a long period of time but " fail " in some particular situation does everything you done before just vanish in the grand slam of things?
