Berrettini takes the final ticket
He was out from the beginning. Never had any realistic chance to classify for the ATP finals.Update
Berrettini 2670
Monfils 2440 2530 2710 2950 3350
Wawrinka 2000 2090 2270 2510 2910
De Minaur is out
It would mean you have a tough opponent like Medvedev in the round robin. With the format, imbalanced groups ultimately work out.
If you have a tough group, you can have easy semi final.
If you have a Nadal USO draw for round robin, then whatever I want to say because I am still butthurt by Nadal's victory at the US Open and Federer's 11th failed attempt in a row to win the USO since 2008.
I would like
Djok, Fed,Thiem and Zverev. Want Fed to get some revenge in the group.
Nadal, Med, Thiem and Monfils in the other - cake walk for Nadal to top the group
We get a Fedal SF and Djoker-Thiem SF
Fed-DJoker to decide the final winner.
2019 DRAW CEREMONY:
The draw for the 2019 Nitto ATP Finals will be made on Tuesday, 5 November. Further details will be published in due course.
2019 GROUP NAMES:
The Finals Club, an initiative launched by the ATP in 2015 as a way of celebrating the past champions and heritage of the season-ending tournament since its inception in 1970, has honoured former champions through the naming of groups over the past four years. This year’s groups will be named as follows:
In singles:
- Group A will be named in honour of Andre Agassi, the 1990 winner and 14-time qualifier.
- Group B will be named in honour of Bjorn Borg, the 1979 and 1980 winner.
In doubles:
- Group A will be named in honour of Max Mirnyi, the 2006 and 2011 winner.
- Group B will be named in honour of Jonas Bjorkman, the 1994 and 2006 winner.
Creating threads for a pro-match discussion is sometimes a race for who creates the thread first. Member @mightyjeditribble wanted to be the founder of the thread for 2019 ATP Finals, so he hurried. Why are you creating a thread about the ATP finals when the tournament has not even started?
Just like threads about matches that have not started are usually deleted, threads about tournaments which have not started should be typically deleted.

Clutch does matter my dear octobrina, clutch does matter...
But the fact of just having a tournament thread where people can discuss seems to be such an odd thing to complain about.
This just in Rafa Nadal is scheduled to play Berritini in all round robin matches. Special scheduling this year. Uncle Toni made them an offer they could not refuse.
Whoa. Well he might "force" the organizers to make Z the qf sf and final opponent or else. Wink wink. 1-12-2-4-1. Wink wink.Toni might have made a better deal for Zverev. Rafa is 5-0 against him!
You need to fix this OP and add a poll when the Round Robin is set on Tuesday. I like having this thread out early, but don't dawdle on updating the OP.

Semi-final qualifying procedure
The final standings of each group is determined by the first of the following methods that apply:
a) Greatest number of wins;
b) Greatest number of matches played;
Comment: 2-1 won-loss record beats a 2-0 won-loss record; a 1-2 record beats a 1-0 record.
c) Head-to-head results if only two (2) players are tied,
d) If three (3) players are tied, then:
- If three (3) players each have one (1) win, a player having played less than all three (3) matches is automatically eliminated and the player advancing to the single elimination competition is the winner of the match-up of the two (2) players tied with 1-2 records; or
- Highest percentage of sets won; or
- Highest percentage of games won; or
- The player positions on the Emirates ATP Rankings as of the Monday after the last ATP World Tour tournament of the calendar year.
- If (i), (ii), (iii) or (iv) produce one (1) superior player (first place), or one (1) inferior player (third place), and the two (2) remaining players are tied, the tie between those two (2) players shall be broken by head-to-head record.
what timeTomorrow
Idk what time
The only reason Berrettini qualified is to be with Nadal in the same group. They are meant to be together:Berrettini takes the final ticket
I said i dont knowwhat time

What about the more realistic one without Nadal, or we just go ahead and pencil in RBA for Nadul. If Nadal pulls the plug on Tuesday, he's got a 50/50 of RBA landing with Djokovic. But assuming he doesn't just how crazy can the draw get with RBA in for Nadal (and safely away from Nole.) Scenarios with RBA in for Nadal:Here are all the possible groups (assuming no withdrawals):
I want 5, but I think we'll end up with 8
In the unlikely event that Nadal withdraws before the draw is made, we'd have these possibilities instead:What about the more realistic one without Nadal, or we just go ahead and pencil in RBA for Nadul. Scenarios with RBA in for Nadal:
1. The best Federer scenario would then probably be 3 or 7 given Berrettini's dear in the headlights Wimbledon performance.
2. Medvedev probably safest with Thiemerev, scenario 2, but really he probably handles them all
3. Thiem would want scenario 3 with Federer rather than Medvedev
4. Zverev probably prefers Thiem and Federer
Nadal pulling out after the Tuesday draw would be very good for really the whole field and at the expense of Djokovic. He might just stay in and see how his strain does the following days.
Excellent. In the unlikely event that Nadal withdraws before the draw is made, we'd have these possibilities instead:
Nadal with Berrettini, calling it right now.
Looking forward to that cat's expression when Fed gets rekt by Berrettini.Nadal with Berrettini, calling it right now.
Yeah just like at Wimbledon. Pray to God Nadalito doesn't draw Fed in his group cause it's gonna be butchery like never seen before. No amount of Berrettini will save his famoz azz.Looking forward to that cat's expression when Fed gets rekt by Berrettini.
Well, keep some caveats stockpiled in case the unthinkable happens. I know you will ofc.Yeah just like at Wimbledon. Pray to God Nadalito doesn't draw Fed in his group cause it's gonna be butchery like never seen before. No amount of Berrettini will save his famoz azz.
The unthinkable you mean Nadal beating Federer/Djokovic outside of clay ever again or winning a non-clay Slam without Berrettini in his draw?Well, keep some caveats stockpiled in case the unthinkable happens. I know you will ofc.
No, he got his Halle and Basel...I really hope Federer wins this one to somewhat Makeup for those Wimbledon/AO chokes and USO injury loss this year.
It's been way too long since his last one.
Indeed. Berrettini may be a mug, but Fed enjoys a good loss to a mug these days, just to provide the smoke and mirrors that obfuscate how trash the next generations are, single handedly keeping the interest in tennis alive in the process. Even threw Nole a precision-engineered bone at W to keep the slam race alive and troll his entire fanbase. Whatever he does next, you know it will rustle jimmies. You never know, that may include a loss to Berrettini AND Nadal just so he can witness the most rustled jimmies of all... A new unprecedented concept to unveil and unleash upon TTW.The unthinkable you mean Nadal beating Federer/Djokovic outside of clay ever again or winning a non-clay Slam without Berrettini in his draw?

Fedr.
You against the world, huh? Berrettini is trash and Nadal is a nefarious twat. Is that better?I had to read this post in instalments because I fell asleep in the middle of the 2nd sentence.
He recovered already? A freaking ealry christmas miracle. Nice
