NEW Prestige MP 360

It is now. The Blade V7 has a very soft classic muted feel. I liked it

It feels great however with Blade v7 I've just realized I prefer a bit stiffer frames and I can't play
with 98" frame as good as with old school 95" HEAD Radical/Prestige frame. Even 16x19 in
those frames (like IG Rad Pro) or all TGT291.2 (Prestige S/Pro) seems to be more precise.

The new paint job is so ugly. Haven't played with Prestige Tour, so really worried about new MP. But I do like Pro/S mold – much better than the new Radicals, I even find them as good as best light Radicals (at least those 295g). However TGT291.2 sold as retail versions never reached the feel of Pro Stock ones (IG Prestige S was close – but had really bad drilling – very open even if it was still 16x19, Graphene S felt however like TGT291.2 that you need to ship back on a warranty).

@Songs For A Dead Pilot
the new prestige pro is going to be 95", 22mm beam, 1" HL, 16/19, 11.1oz
the new prestige mid is going to be 93", 20mm beam, 1" HL, 16/19, 11.3oz

Was just writing about S/Pro mold. I treat them as new Radicals. Any news how stiff they are (Pro and S)?

I have two prostocks of RevPro mold – don't remember the numbers right now (312?) I don't like them to be honest. I'm afraid that retail versions are even worse.
Not sure if it is true – but I found them similar mold-wise to Premier Tour – which after all those Graphene stiff sticks feels not that bad.

Anyone know the stiffness of these new prestiges?

All the specs have been posted except the most important thing :cautious:
im getting my info from the catalog, no stiffness listed, but I can give you the CPI= C? P-power I-index,, typically more power means stiffer frames, but who knows for sure
pres.tour cpi 400
pres.mid cpi 100
pres.mp cpi 200
pres.pro cpi 300

Thanks. I'm really hoping these are 62 and lower.

me as well,,
I got really high hopes for this line with the ghaph+360
I already have 1 winking at me,, hard!!!

but I gotta say, I also donot like the paintjob, maybe as others have suggested, black cap grommets would look somewhat better,,
but at this point, I would even try it in hot pink color!! haaa

I'm praying these new Prestiges are good. I have to use Head racquets and there is nothing in their lineup I like hitting with right now.
Red is my favorite color for frames so I am easy to please with the graphics I guess. If these are actually 59RA I'll be so happy.

I will check them out anyway. Can't give up on HEAD – I have played for some many years with them.
However I would like also to check out new Ultra Tour, VCore Pro 97HD and Tecnifibre TF40.

I hope for Pro/S to be a bit flexier and still able to be stable. Black grommets will fit as well!
Not going to even try 93 Mid. And of course need to try out MP – but there's planty of 97-98" great frames on the market.

Have any of you tried Wilson Custom on the new Blade v7 by the way? All back with dark grey Wilson logo would be a great one! Like old black Blade 93.

I now have the 4 frames (no tour) in hand. I'll be stringing them up with the new head Experimental string at various tensions. I'm let you know how they feel. I still can't take pictures though.

So strung up the mid at 50lbs and had a go with it. It's very much like the graphene touch mid with a few differences. The feel has definitely changed. I found the GT version very muted but the 360 has a drastically improved response. You can really feel the hear/feel the flex is you have a long fast stroke. Might have something with the stiffening at the 4-5 and 7-8 positions. Very arm friendly, framing the ball never produced a jarring response.

Forehands
Good blend of power and control. I can bigger cuts with this racquet vs. mp and not worry about sailing. Spin was decent but not P-Pro like. A shot I really enjoyed with this was a out wide forehand slice-cut cross-court. ( a fav. save my ass shot). You could really just cut it agressively. Launch angle is some what lower that it's predecessor. Was easy to flatten out my shots for mid court winners.

Backhands
Spin was no issue with my 2HBH. Could top it, drive it or lob it. With the smaller head though you had to really follow the ball to the string bed. Other that it was a swiss army knife, you had to know how to use it but there wasn't shot you couldn't hit. However, the real deal was with the 1 hander. I felt like Tomas Muster. Spin was so heavy and I could hit all parts of the court. I was floating my slice a bit that you need to get use a racket to drive a slice. Really nice.

Volleys
Not as stable as the mp or pro but probably has something to do with the static weight. Decent but nothing to write home about. Might lead up at 12 to increase the plushness.

Serves
This is wear i'll definitely lead it up a bit. Something about the flexy top part of the hoop really took some of the oomph put of my serve. However, excellent placement. Playing a set with this I definitely made up for the lost of a few mph with placement. Outwide serves to the ad/deuce courts were killer. This might be a work in progress adding lead to 12 and the cap/leather grip. We'll see how much I can add before my groundies start to suffer. Overall a good serving racquet.

I'll try to answer any questions. This might be a contender for my next frame. I'll have to rotate a bit more b/t the mid/mp/pro.

I'm going to hold on to my iPrestige and Radical Bumblebee...but considering moving the YT IG Prestige to make room for the new-new...

The Pro obviously has the higher launch angle and easier access to depth and spin. But the feel when you lay into the ball just isnt quite as good and connected as the MP. Jury still out. Interested to hear others thoughts.

Dang now i feel obligated to give it a try as a hokie. Related matter, have you seen VT’s tennis courts? I cant even argue they are hideously obnoxious.
Wow, I was about to say the same thing. Two of my cousins went to VT and I played a couple of times at Burrow-Burleson Center in Blacksburg. The orange courts were nauseating. They were getting Playsight in a few months back then.

Seriously! They need to get someone else to endorse the prestige line! In fact i think thats why the sales of prestiges have been so bad over late years. Cilic is a good player but he just doesnt sell any raquets thats a fact. Wawrinka would have sold raquets, Thiem would have sold raquets they both played with prestige but Head didnt manage to keep them and now Cilic is their face for the line....sorry but thats not going to work...

Well I've made my decision. I'm going with the Pro over the MP. For a 95 inch racquet, I am pretty blown away by the blend of power, control, forgiveness, maneuverability, and feel. It reminds me a little of my old RDIS 100 MP (nalbandian) with a little better control. The MP is a great stick as well and I'm curious to see what the TW staff thinks of the whole line. The 360+ is a great technology. These frames feel solid and stable with great feel and flex. Well done Head, well done.

Luxilon Adrenaline at 57/55 for the win!

Or maybe it is not selling because they put a frying pan on top of a baseball bat and calling it a Graphene Prestige?

And now...they realized they ruined the legendary racket, so, they are starting from scratch with a new mold... May as well call it Gravity or something stupid like that...
