No. But I did a lookup and believe he was probably part of the whole "The Secret" inspiration.

These sort of "imagine it and it will come true" self-help books are trivially falsified by personal experience, yet people keep selling/buying them. The authors just deny the evidence: You didn't imagine it hard enough. You really wanted to fail! You really wanted to die of cancer, etc.

Positive thinking can be beneficial, if combined with taking actions that conform to reality. Otherwise, you just become increasingly delusional. TTMPD doesn't just describe positive imagery, it suggests practice to develop an all court game.

What do you think of this?

Also I reckon there are many fake LOA gurus on the internet but the case with Neville Goddard seems to be a special one, if not fascinating. I'm not saying whether he's legit or not but I do find his theory at least more logically sound than others, as his theory seems to match with the findings of 2 famous quantum physics experiments (double slit experiment & delayed choice quantum eraser experiment). Yeah, this can sound crazy but since we're stepping into the quantum world where physicists are still clueless about, anything is possible.

Ok, but imagine putting on 3D goggles and choosing a player and stroke and you see it played out before your eyes as if you are actually in Roger Federer's body as you swing your forehand around the living room knocking stuff off the coffee table!

J
I can totally envision that.

it's quite applicable w/ current robotic tech for the guy who wants to experience nad/joko/fed/etcetc strokes........lock him/her into the 'suit' driven by tens step-motors then choose respective goat's preset data, here we go, w/in 30 min we might find the meat n bones inside the 'suit' all shaken up or broken ie well processed/minced/cooked lololololololol manormam:-D:-D:-D:-D:-D:-D:-D:-D:-D.................

remember back in 70s a fat chef in an air base complaining the jets pilots eating too well while having fun in the sky all the time n apparently he's the only 1 fat there for very apparent reasons, lolololololol...........well, the commander made him seat in the back seat of a trainer jet then off he went. the pilot wanted to make bit fun of him n did bit not yet so awkward g.................gee, all shaken up n watava in his tummy rushed out from every possible exits n painted all over the cockpit. the fat chef couldn't stand up for 2 days...........then understandably no complaining anymore also his body shape gradually back to normal:-D:-D:-D:-D:-D:-D:-D:-D:-D:-D:-D.............................

I’ll give you the best tennis advice you have ever heard. I was in college and in a match and I was losing badly in the first set. My buddy walked down the bleachers and sat next to me and I started whining. He put his hand on my shoulder and said, “ Shut the F up and just beat his ass.” Then he gave me a little slap on the top of the head and looked at me sternly and said don’t forget what I said.

I turned the match around. He and I still talk about this all the time.
How did you beat his ass? with a stick?

This is the same logic people use to back up their idea that "anyone can become an NTRP x.y if they just train hard and smart enough": anyone who doesn't make it just didn't train hard and smart enough.

Yeah, right.
Haha...yet you still hear it here all the time.

When you pointed out their fallacy and stupidity, you get into endless arguments.

I believe only exceptional, extraordinary ppl can change for better.

Non-exceptional, non-extraordinary people change all of the time for the better. But many times it takes a nudge [or a bulldozer] in the right direction [say, a heart attack to change one's lifestyle].

So it should be easy to give me one specific example, where they are, everything they currently do and have done in their life.

J
U wont get any names. So we won't p!ss off anyone unnecessarily. Lol.

But you must be blind not to see ppl considering themselves to be higher than their reality.

As for what they've done, it's YOUR burden to tell me what "work required to be a 6.0" or xyz level. You spoke of that. Not me.

This place is full of peeps who believe they should be *at least* .5 higher.

Comon man.

Ntrp has become confusing since they rate it on match play. Some hit a really weird ball you cant really see until your on the court. Others look great but hit marshmellows.

Then you combine it with your local competition (matches played) and can see how rating becomes very elastic.

Some people are 4.0 because their is a need to fill that league, gets promoted, its a pretty shadey system imo. Based upon participation. Thats how rankings work as well, but a draw has a more definative result.
