One more against an old Fed. What’s new ?
The h2h was what 12-6 When Fed was not old ?

Federer must wanna murder him as much as Djokovic has beaten Nadal as well, at least if Nadal is playing well enough to win, he will close it.
Novak was the better player in the AO final. Probably should have closed it out in 4Miami 2011
AO 2012
W 2018
Not always....but more often than Federer for sure.
That's like saying "Nadal was the better player in the RG 2013 SF, should have closed it out in 4".Novak was the better player in the AO final. Probably should have closed it out in 4
He truly should. Both AO 2012 and RG 2013 should of been classic 4 setters. That's like saying "Nadal was the better player in the RG 2013 SF, should have closed it out in 4".

You both are absolutely correct. That's like saying "Nadal was the better player in the RG 2013 SF, should have closed it out in 4".
LOL lots of FH UFE. As usual (see Rome 2006 F, USO 2011 SF, Wimbledon 2019 F)

It made the matches more epic, unpredictable and exciting for TV viewers. You both are absolutely correct.
Djok in 2012 AO F & Nada in 2013 FO SF made lives harder for themselves
Seems like Djokovic is completely on to Federer's serving patterns in precise moments. He seems to know where Federer is going to serve when facing BPs or SPs.
If fed retired after 2012 he retires having owned djokovic and only being 17-9 behind against nadal
but he loses a bunch of titles, including3 slams and is well out of the slam race by now, due to the inflation vacuum era of 2016- present so..
I'm still dreaming about how he had him leaning the wrong way on 40-15 but clipped the tape.Seems like Djokovic is completely on to Federer's serving patterns in precise moments. He seems to know where Federer is going to serve when facing BPs or SPs.
The big win I suppose was ao17 proving he could win at a slam vs him and regaining some pride after the beatings ( those terrible 2013-2014 losses)The Fedal H2H was 18-10 in Nadal's favor at the end of 2012.
The difference of 8 has stayed with them since then. They split the next 12 meetings 6-6.
Then the dumb net rush (off a poor approach) after the weak first serve nowhere near the lineI'm still dreaming about how he had him leaning the wrong way on 40-15 but clipped the tape.
Reminds me of when England hit the bar against Germany at the World Cup which mirrored something very similar many years earlier. Some kind of a weird curse. The 40-15 curse is real. I think there might even be a 40-15 at the AO2011 SF meeting between Federer and Djokovic. I can't be bothered to check though.I'm still dreaming about how he had him leaning the wrong way on 40-15 but clipped the tape.

the hard work undone at Wimbledon 2019... could’ve finished 1-2 slams behind both and have a claim to GOAT if he won that age 38. FFS.
Both MPs were incredibly flawed from a tactical standpoint. Then the dumb net rush (off a poor approach) after the weak first serve nowhere near the line
which followed a foolish I/O effort from a deep return
sigh
Yes, Nadal should have closed out that semi in 4That's like saying "Nadal was the better player in the RG 2013 SF, should have closed it out in 4".

I think he thought it couldn’t happen again and rushed them wanting it over. Both MPs were incredibly flawed from a tactical standpoint.

both moments are some of the worst in tennis history. Made things more boring and the more attacking flair player lost.As much as I love the 40-15 at Wimbledon, the 2011 USO 40-15 is the greatest moment in tennis history. Novak permanently broke Federer's confidence with one swing, and he's never recovered. I'm not sure there's been a more badass moment in sports history tbh.
He was ahead 16-13 at the end of 2012 and that was "owning Djokovic". Yet 9-17 against Nadal is being "only" eight wins behind. If fed retired after 2012 he retires having owned djokovic and only being 17-9 behind against nadal

nadal rivalry is too unusual to analyse properly, other than he constantly avoided prime Fed off clay.He was ahead 16-13 at the end of 2012 and that was "owning Djokovic". Yet 9-17 against Nadal is being "only" eight wins behind.
Wat
Lol yes, blasting a cross-court winner off a 120mph serve out wide is exactly what comes to mind when I think of boring defense. Novak is always pretty aggressive when he plays Roger. That beautiful backhand down the line in the fifth set tiebreaker at Wimbledon was more ballsy than any shot Federer hit.both moments are some of the worst in tennis history. Made things more boring and the more attacking flair player lost.
the equivalent of chelsea beating barca and Bayern to win the 2012 champions league, bad for the sport.
Good for his 100 Serbian fanboys I guess, bad for tennis overall as a competition with interesting rivalries.
I don't think it was one particular moment. Djokovic was always competing well against Federer with his stable and low ufes game, but around 2011 he had a new found mix of physical improvement, belief and calm in his game, and even more so when he was down match points. Tsonga too lost from mps against Djokovic at rg later. As much as I love the 40-15 at Wimbledon, the 2011 USO 40-15 is the greatest moment in tennis history. It’s always easier to remember the clean FH ROS winner at 40-15 but the next point featured a mishit ROS on a very strong jammer serve by fedr that had Joe Kovic handcuffed. Should have been GSM because fedr had a totally open court shot to drill a winner but the junk on the mishit made fedr clip the net tape and his netcord shot went wide. That was when fedr crumbled. As much as I love the 40-15 at Wimbledon, the 2011 USO 40-15 is the greatest moment in tennis history. I think what really makes it special is the expression on Novak's face when he goes down 40-15. There he is, down match point at 5-3, 40-15 in the 5th set, and he's essentially saying "You think you have me beat? Think again. Watch this." His odds of winning the match at this point had to have been much less than 1%, and the fact that he pulled it off—saving the first match point with one of the best return winners in recent history—is simply astonishing. NID that one shot was majestic but fedr’s response was strong on the next point with the wicked jammer serve that Joe Kovic somehow managed to get back in play with some junk that threw off the easy I/O response into the net. The two points combined changed their match dynamic for a long while. It took stubborn fedr more than a year after that to finally tweak the equipment to make him relevant on non-grass surfaces (rebounded in 2012 at Wimby with a solid 4-set win with the old stick).I think what really makes it special is the expression on Novak's face when he goes down 40-15. Watch the faces he makes in that video. Those facial expressions aren't defeatist; they're saying "I'll show you".Lol no he isn't. He KNEW he was beat and he was pissed the crowd wanted him to be defeated so bad. He feeds off that though, credit to him.

No, Novak's fans count only slams and match points...

Nah, his face suggests something more along the lines of "fu*k it, what do I have to lose?"Watch the faces he makes in that video. Those facial expressions aren't defeatist; they're saying "I'll show you".
Nah they're saying "oh yall don't like me huh? **** off" stop trying to make the man cool lol, if it was 2015 u may have a point.
It was glorious, regardless of what he was actually thinking.Nah, his face suggests something more along the lines of "fu*k it, what do I have to lose?"

Djokovic won 2 of the first 3He was though. Also should have won Wimby 18 in 4 sets. You gotta take that last point against Djokovic though
