Good news.
Focusing on W and Olympics is the right move, no?Classy!
Good news.
ExhibitionHe was going to play in Bogota?
With who?Exhibition
Shame, he will bleed a lot of points now. Massive blow to the tour if Federer is out until the grass season.
It's more. He'll be under 4000 by the grass season. That's nearly 3000 points down the drain.
Hope he recovers fully before the grass season.
The end, appears, is very nearer..
Right. Forgot his Madrid and Rome appearances. It's more. He'll be under 4000 by the grass season.
Right. Forgot his Madrid and Rome appearances.
I imagine the Wimbledon formula will give him some seeding boost though.
Just beat Djokovic or Nadal or Thiem or Medvedev in QF. No big dealYeah, but he will likely be outside the top four potentially now considering the haemorrhage of points he will endure before the grass season. A lot of Federer's points are locked up between now and Wimbledon.
That’s bad news, almost as shocking as in 2016 when he ended his season after Wimbledon.
It’s also a bit strange since his AO problems were not knee-related and shortly after that he played against Nadal in South Africa anyway. And only a few days ago he talked about his clay schedule with only RG but no sign of a current problem.
I’m not afraid of the seeding at Wimbledon though. On grass he can beat anyone if healthy, and maybe meeting Djokovic earlier than in the final could be even better.

Only thing for him though is, he will need to likely go three of them then to win Wimbledon.
Pity. I didn't believe the injury talk during AO, turns out this is quite a setback. It gets harder and harder each year to recover.Yeah, but he will likely be outside the top four potentially now considering the haemorrhage of points he will endure before the grass season. It is grass , so I wouldn’t worry . He has to get enough matches at Halle or add Stuttgart

Yeah but top 4 seed is near impossible now, unless he wins both Stuttgart and Halle and Medvedev bricks everythingRight. Forgot his Madrid and Rome appearances.

Isn't this a different injury?Yeah, looks like it was worse than we thought, six months out...and you are right, it gets harder each time.
Zverev, I guess. To make up the cancellation. With who?
Weird smiley for the postThis is a disaster for his chances at Wimbledon, and not only because of his ranking, but because he will arrive there with almost no practice for 4 months. He has done the right thing as a potential serious injury there will force him to end his career, so there is a hope that he will be able to recover and play on after that. Still bad news, but, oh well, he will be 39 in August.

Thought the honeymoon trip was overZverev, I guess. To make up the cancellation.
