Not really, that's just the capitalist bs. There are many type of people who got rich in many different ways and competitive is not always a positive word. Also people can be competitive in many ways but that may not return as money. One can be very competitive in helping people for instance.
I don't know where you live but if you don't let people join the road or turn in Toronto, nobody would make it to their work as it's a big city. Majority of people are kind enough in the traffic here. We're proud of being a polite nation.
