I’m replacing the gripper (old one cracked) on my revo 4000. At least I think it’s called a gripper, just the Metal block that grabs the string. I took the old one off no problem but I’m really struggling with putting the new one on. I feel like I’m missing something as alpha’s guy said it should be super simple. Anyone experienced this before? I’m not great with this kind of thing. Thanks

Super simple? Right except for getting all the roller bearings in.
Ok so does that mean I am to unscrew parts of the gripper? Cause that’s what I thought I had to do but the alpha guy said I don’t have to and I don’t see how that is physically possible

I don’t know any other way. If they said you didn’t have to I’d call them back. Are you replacing just the gripper plates or the complete assembly?

Well, based on how you're holding the gripper assembly (in your photo), you have it backwards (relative to how your machine is oriented).

I’m out of town for a while but I never figured it out. The problem for me was the string would always slip out when I tried to pull tension. In contacting alpha they said sometimes the gripper (didn’t realize it was a separate part either) can have a small fracture, which mine did. They promptly sent me a free replacement but I feel like it’s impossible to put it on without taking it fully apart. I think I’ll wait till a friend can come over who’s good with stringing machines cause I’m useless at taking things apart

not sure what company yours is but the best bet is probably contacting the manufacturer as I did and they should sort you out
