What health protocols?!?! No one wearing masks, nearly full stands. What a joke of a sentence... “we believe the tournament met all health protocols” What a clown
But we must be smart all the same, and re-open in a gradual manner. Djo-Kovid just went balls out and now here we are, having to comment on the lack of restraint. I hate him even more now lolThis is what I realized yesterday. It's never going away. And we can't just keep shutting down.....
aaaand doneHope Nole recovers quickly and that he'll be back on the court in no time. Tennis needs healthy Nole when the season reopens in 2 months time.
The health protocols mandated by local health authorities, obviously. Believe or not, some places have looser restrictions than othersWhat health protocols?!?! No one wearing masks, nearly full stands. What a joke of a sentence... “we believe the tournament met all health protocols” What a clown

I see the PR team realized their mistake and made a more sensible statement.
good.
Looks like someone with some kind of sense got to him. That’s a better statement. Still not great but better. There was an “I’m sorry” in there.
In 2019 in the US 80,000 people died of flu related causes, and that's with a vaccine...What if there's never a vaccine or like the flu vaccine, it isn't 100% effective, what then? When would be the right time to open up in that situation? In the US, the reason to shut everything down in March was to make sure hospitals weren't overwhelmed by sick people all showing up at once but there's evidence that it was already in the US in December of 2019. So this may be the second wave, not the first.
Praying for you Novak,
He traveled internationally KNOWING he had the virus and so did Dimitrov. For the Novak fans thinking this will blow over, it won't. Jon Wertheim sets everyone straight in this brutal summation of the stupidity, ego and Hubris of Djokovic:

Relax and calm down. Djoker says he feels just fine.
Djoker has been dancing, partying, playing basketball...
Let's not overly dramatize this!
At least he didn't lose it for good last June, amirite?Djokovic just lost the slam race.
Finally he's expressing remorse on his reckless actions and rightfully accepting the blame. Doesn't undo the damage he caused, but this is a positive and acceptable response.
Hope Nole recovers quickly and that he'll be back on the court in no time. Tennis needs healthy Nole when the season reopens in 2 months time.
It's well documented that Djokovic believes in a lot of nonsense, especially where health is concerned. What health protocols?!?! No one wearing masks, nearly full stands. What a joke of a sentence... “we believe the tournament met all health protocols” What a clown
That big doofus gave it to sweet, Innocent Nole?Djoko and Nikola Jokic at an exhibition basketball game in Belgrade on June 11th:

In fact, since I like Fed as a player, I would have verbally crucified him for doing the same thing. I tend to hold back when talking about Novak, to try to be fair.I often don't agree with Wertheim, I was just pointing out the level of vitriol out there for Djokovic right now and it's justly deserved, IMO. My main beef is that he was so spectacularly arrogant (and stupid) to blandly say, "I'm fine, I have no symptoms," two days ago when he still could spread the virus to a vulnerable person who could then conceivably die from it. This has nothing to do with fandom, since I would have the exact same reaction had Roger done all this.

I wouldn't read too much into that since these are athletes who are supremely fit and healthy. Their bodies will obviously be much better at beating the virus.asymptomatic carriers shed so little of the virus, so the risks and consequences you allude to are greatly over stated. The fact that all players are asymptomatic should tell you something about either how the virus is evolving or the threats of the virus to begin with.
the risk that asymptomatic carriers pose is one of the myths currently being busted.
The point is they are not going to be shedding it. Asymptomatic carriers are not the risk they have been made out to be.I wouldn't read too much into that since these are athletes who are supremely fit and healthy. Their bodies will obviously be much better at beating the virus.
Not really it's just that asymptomatic and presymptomatic people are consistently mixed up.asymptomatic carriers shed so little of the virus, so the risks and consequences you allude to are greatly over stated. Maybe. One of basketball players who participated in the an exhibition basketball game in Belgrade on June 11th, Nikola Jankovic, was tested positive for the virus on June 15th. N.Jokic pictured hugging Djoko, was reportedly in close proximity to N.Jankovic. It's unclear if the two basketball players had any physical contact. That big doofus gave it to sweet, Innocent Nole?
Get well soon, and only come back when at full strength, we don't want somebody else winning the slams and be tainted with the ineluctable weak era claim in the absence of his eminence, the inscrutable Novak. It is always good to be hopeful...but hurts soooo much when your hopes crash

Break it first...probablyI'm not hopeful...because Nadal is going to get the record anyway.
