New Yonex Vcore (for 2020 or 2021 ?)

I don’t know and i don’t care when it would come out. YONEX should stop following Babolat’s way with producing feel-less tweeners. They should return to their routes and produce great feeling sticks like DR,XI,AI,Tour F etc.

I don't understand why they won't make any smaller head sizes. A lot of the people who care about racquet quality also like smaller head sizes. I'd love a 90 or 93 head Yonex.

I love mids, but that ship has sailed. At this point you’re better off either buying used or *hoping* they make a 93. Don’t count on a 90 anymore.

I wish I bought that old Vcore 88 that was red. That was one sexy racket.

Because other companies have all broad range of 90-95 players racquets

Think January 2021. Because there will be a Limited Edition of the actual Vcore later this year:

nice find. Here’s a pic from the yonex site:

The XI was brassy feeling crap. The Tour F was just crap.

If you want classic feeling and flexy, Yonex already have that in their range with the VCP 97 HD which is a great racquet for a decent player.

It’s just decent or maybe the best feeling Yonex right now. Try to go for winners and you won’t get feedback of where the ball is gonna land.

I suspect that's more to do with you than the racquet.

Same issue with loss of feedback when going for more.

I heard it could be during US-Open... But seems so near now... Maybe TW has some news ? PLEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAASE !!! ;)
I'm awaiting this news as well. I'm trying to decide whether to stock up on VCORE 98+s when they (eventually) go on clearance. I've tried a few others (latest experiment was extending an Extreme Tour), but nothing else seems to have the power/spin combination in a '+' frame that I like.

I did like the feel of the new EZONE 98 + w/ the VDM, but couldn't dial in the frame, so I'm hoping the new VCORE will (a) come in a '+', and (b) have all the qualities of the current model, but w/ the VDM.

Otherwise...time to stock up & stick w/ a frame for 5+ years...

Have you tried the ezone 100 (2020) ?I know it's supposed to be more powerful but I tried it with Poly tour strike and really loved it (and it's controled power and spin) so much that I struggle to chose between a 98 or a 100 now...

If the 100 lines of VCORE & EZONE were simply the same mold but slightly larger, I'd have given them a try. But I have this mental block on frames > 23mm thick (and 23 is stretching it). But at 25mm & 26mm, respectively, the 100s are non-starters for me.

ok... I thought the same and tried it. Yes it's thick but as Clash 98, it's really interessing on touch for a thick stick if played with the good strings.

Pretty much in the same boat. My VCore98+ are getting beat up pretty bad and one died an early death when it slipped while serving.

I extended a Graphene Prestige Pro and it is absolutely fantastic. But it is an old frame and are hard to find.

I just hope the new VC98+ comes with a higher twist weight stock. Adding lead at 3 and 9 on a + frames bumps the SW by quite a bit and the stock SW is already high making the string choice somehow crucial.

My dream VC98+ would be:
-310g
-14.5 TW
-60-64 ra max
-330-340SW max
-leather grip stock

I only have VCore Pros and an EZONE - kinda want to try a Vcore 98 with the ltd edition paint job. Hopefully someone can find one for sale on a Japanese site!

Limited paint job is sweet. I really like my VCP97 310, except they are a tad too soft in the upper hoop. I hope the next version addresses this. Would make the racquet nearly perfect (for me).

Ok let’s discuss.

Have you played for example with VC98? Found me one modern 98 305 racquet that it’s worse than VC98. :)
Willing to try vc98... Any idea how it can compare to pure aero vs? Thanks

i went from the PA VS to the vcore 98. It's a tamer version of the PA VS in terms of power, control, and stiffness. It's still got quite a bit of power and spin, but it is more comfortable.

if you're in the US, i've got 4 for sale up in the classifieds.

If you don’t have any elbow issues with Babolats don’t even try Vcore98. Go for VS without even thinking it. Strung it with rpm team or rough at 23kg. VC98 is only better on flat serves and 1HB.... VS needs more adjustment on 1HB but you can fix it by changing its balance. They are both stable and solid on stock weight but VS has even more power, similar spin, larger SS, miles better feel/ball connection and in general it is a more easy stick to play with. I wish only VS was 16x19.

As a VCP HD main I can say that it's an issue I have with the frame. VDM dampens the feel so it's harder to feel exactly where the ball landed on the stringbed.

It doesn't mean you can't mentally say to yourself "okay I want a DTL shot" and then just hit it there. It just adds some confusion when you strike the ball for the first few months.

You learn to adjust to the VDM-muted feel and work on other parts of the your technique to hit the ball where you want. It could be a barrier for a serial racquet changer, but if you commit to the VCP HD it stops being an issue about 2 months in.

Imo the new head extreme tour is better than both of them, better feel and more spin
What does a 14yr old kid know what we don’t know? Lol
Tbh, it depends on the set up and how each of them benefits to your game/style.
