Cheap tennis balls for a hopper

I’m looking to fill my hopper with 70+ balls. I may just wait until I'm done playing matches but ideally I'd like a hoppers worth of balls sooner than later. Seems like my best bet may be to get a case of 72 Penn Championship Extra Duty balls for ~$56. Any other ones I should consider?

Triniti balls hold their bounce pretty well. May be expensive though

The Penn balls are a decent choice, but they will go flat. The Wilson Triniti balls make for good practice balls that can take a lot of abuse and still maintain their bounce. I use them in my ball machine.

Seems like the Trinitis are twice as expensive. Do you think they last over twice as long?

They're advertised as lasting 4x longer than regular balls. I know that they'll hold their bounce long after the felt wears out, which is better than the premium balls (us open/pro penn) and a lot better than penn championships.

Yes they will last longer, but only you know what’s best for your budget. Keep in mind I would only use these for drills or a ball machine. Not for match play or serve practice.

Honestly, I spend the extra money and go with Wilson US Opens, they maintain their bounce much longer than the Penns.

I just grabbed a case of Dunlop Champ Hard Court XD's to start working into my hoppers. I've had rather good luck with Dunlop in the past, but haven't stocked up with them like this - only used a can or two here and there. In the past, the Dunlops have seemed to offer better service life than the Wilson or Penn equivalent, but I've never done a side-by-side between these Dunlops and Wilson's premium US Open ball.

Looks like those get good reviews too at about half the cost. I'm going to do a bit of research but may go with a case of those instead

Also watching this thread. Majority of my play is practice with a partner or serving. Feels like I could get away with a couple of Wilson USO cans but a case of the Dunlop or Triniti.

I've used XD Wilson, Penn and various Dunlop balls in my hoppers over the years and have had the best luck with the Penns. Just bought a couple of 20-can boxes at Costco for $30 each.

Related question, think it's best that I spring for some Penn pressureless balls and then buy some higher quality balls just for match play and hitting practice with a partner that way I don't need a drill case of them?
