I like Pjanic too, but I did think it sounded strange when I first heard the rumours of the trade a few weeks back. Juventus tried to swap Pjanic for Jorginho too, crazy to think they got a much better player than Jorginho for him in the end.

Sounds like the muddled thinking you get at a club when things are out of sync and rotten in a sense. Chelsea and Man Utd have been the same over the last however many years. There's this move, Boateng, Braithwaite etc.. What's going on?
Maybe there is a dartboard covered with pictures of footballer players which the guys in the Barcelona board target then go out and buy whoever they hit.

Nice interview with Bruno. Patrice Evra in love.

''We should give him man of the match before the match starts.'' lol Relax.

''He's made them look like a team. This team can do damage.''

Wow, can you believe that is somebody actually talking about Man Utd? haha woohoo.

8 - Bruno Fernandes has been directly involved in eight goals in his first eight Premier League games for Man Utd (five goals & three assists) - only Robin van Persie has had more (9) at this stage of his PL career with the club. Sensation.

Antonio Rüdiger, Marcos Alonso, Tammy Abraham, I never want to see these 3 in a Chelsea shirt ever again. Never ****ing again. Frauds, absolute frauds.

Rüdiger has been bang average/poor the minute he’s arrived, he’s a liability. Gets by every time only cuz he points to the badge and has “pashun”, he’s NOT GOOD ENOUGH. It’s worse than Arsenal fans gassing Lacauselesszette. Being passionate for the club means nothing if you can’t perform. Look at the ruthlessness Mourinho employs. Look at teams like Real Madrid and Barcelona, tossing out Ceballos and whatnot. No second thoughts. Out the door, passion or no passion, if you’re not good enough, get out.

Same with Abraham. I’m tired of listening to the ****ing hype train surrounding this absolute fraud of a striker. He makes me miss Morata ffs. He spins around 95% of the time, trudges down the pitch, can’t do anything off set pieces, NOTHING. He sits there and complains about “not getting service” but he’s just NOT GOOD ENOUGH. He’s holding this club to ransom, just because he’s an academy graduate and did good in the championship. He had one hot steak and has been dining out on it for ages now. Get him out the club immediately, I’ve had enough of it. Stick your xG calculus equations that make him look good up your ass. Look on the pitch with your eyes.

Marcos Alonso I genuinely can’t stand. I’m serious. He’s ****ing Bambi on ice. He occasionally does well going forward but offers nothing defensively. We’re not playing you at wing back you ****ing clown, you HAVE TO DEFEND THE BALL. He’s useless, can’t man-mark, poor against everyone, weak as anything. It’s NOT GOOD ENOUGH. I can’t stand him anymore, I’d rather Emerson or a kid play there, because I genuinely cannot handle Bambi’s constant mistakes and errors for 3 YEARS NOW. I cannot do it, get him out immediately.

Azpilicueta, not good enough. Great servant but you’re not good enough anymore, ship him off to Spain or to a nursing home cuz he’s slow and useless. I’ve said it 1000000 times that Willian is useless and I still stick by that. Says a lot that he’s the only one saving us from these **** situations. Christensen, I love him but he’s poor, Frank ****ing hates Zouma for some reason. And Giroud, he needs to start over Abraham for the rest of the season, end of. I don’t care about your stupid personal “Arsenal agenda”, Tammy is a mid-table/relegation scrap striker at BEST.

And finally on to Frank. Can’t blame him for everything but if he can’t perform next season with Werner/Ziyech/Havertz then he’s gone too. Don’t care about your sentimental value, I don’t care if he’s a club legend. If he can’t perform with the world class talent Abramovich is handing to him on a silver platter this summer, then out the door. We need a CB desperately. We’ve somehow made immense bargains for Ziyech and Werner, we have money. Splash the rest on Soyuncu, or better yet Koulibaly. People saying he’s finished are FIFA merchants, making people think a players dusted the minute he hits 30. Get a CB and fix the team. Priority is Top 4. **** the cup, play the ****ing kids there all you want. Get Top 4 and move forward.

What a great night for United. VAR couldn't even stop the Moyes juggernaut. :giggle:

VAR got it spot on. James Collins there in the studio all "bUt kEpa cOuLd SeE tHe BaLl"

That might well of been true, ginger James, but every keeper is charging in that instance, making themselves as big as possible, closing down all the angles etc.. If there's a player in an offside position who's interfering with you doing your job? It's offside, lad. This ain't Ice Hockey.

I still think the offside rule needs changing if VAR is going to work, at the moment the two things aren't compatible. The offside rule was introduced to stop "goal hanging" (which is what Antonio, unintentionally, was guilty of yesterday). It shouldn't cancel out beautiful goals because a toe was offside 30 yards from goal 4 phases before the goal was scored imo.

West Ham played well though, Rice had a great game and Antonio was a beast. Fair play to them, that's the kind of performance and result you get at this time of the season. I'm sure there will be more games like that throughout the league over the coming weeks.

As for Chelsea and the assessment of @Fabresque, I agree with all (especially regarding the defence) with the exception of Abraham. He's had no service all year (which is why I wanted Ziyech and his wand of a left foot). I've no idea how good Abraham can be as he hasn't been given the opportunity, maybe he really does suck, or maybe the service asking difficult questions of the opposition will be the making of him. We'll find out pretty quickly next season which one it is, i'd imagine.

Abraham is done anyways. Werner’s coming in and that’s that. He’s going to be Batshuayi. As much as I love the occasional Batsman goal he’s not really much of a top level striker. I love the new signings but there’s still talk about Havertz and Chillwell and whatnot. I don’t think Telles would be bad. But we need a CB, desperately. AC gets by from criticism because he passes the ball nice, he’s got no pride in defending. Rüdiger is just a clown anyways. Zouma played great vs Leicester and kept a clean sheet and Frank tosses him to the scrap heap for no reason. Zouma-Tomori till the end of the season for me. AC and Alonso represent what’s wrong with modern defenders, they take no pride in their main job priority. Their defending is suspect to borderline reeking yet they still play. I understand “play the team you got” but we have Emerson, we’ve got Tomori, Zouma, etc.. just play them. Zouma may be a massive liability on the ball but he throws his body on the line and takes pride in his defending. It’s not just Chelsea though, look at AWB at Man Utd. Loves going forward, can’t defend. Bellerin from Arsenal, all these flicks and tricks yet gets brushed off by pacey wingers who are almost always stronger than him. It’s like your job is a pilot. And you’re really good at taking off and flying the plane, but when it comes to landing, you can’t do it. But in that profession if you’re good at one thing and bad at another, lives are at risk. These muppets are flashy and okay going forward but can’t defend. Jesus.

Seems like Abraham has been going through a rough time after a good start , He was being hyped , but he also suffered an injury. I don’t know if Chelsea are seriously going after Havertz , But i’m curious to see how are they going to reinforce their defense. Crazy to think Kepa is the most expensive keeper

Just lol at Spurs , I don’t think they will even get Europe next season. Mourinho has now lost more PL matches at Tottenham than I’m his first 2 seasons at Chelsea.

Top 4 looks very tight. I honestly don’t know which teams are going to end finish there , Many possibilities , I’m gonna throw a “crazy” one and say Wolves and Leicester

AWB can't defend? If anything that's his main trait lol. Man United have that right back position covered for years to come.

3rd to 6th is anybody's guess at this point. Impressive that Wolves are still going strong while Man United have also been strong lately, no loss in the last 15 games.

I see City are running riot when it's too late.

The last few years we've had Willian and Hazard (now Pulisic), their strengths are running with the ball, cutting inside etc.. They are poor crossers of a ball and cutting inside means there's no width and everything is cramped in the box. Throw in teams sitting deep? There's no space and no service for Abraham. That's why i'm curious to see how Abraham does with Ziyech, we'll get a better idea of what he can do then, I think.

As for the defence, it's been really bad for awhile now. Years, in fact. Even the title 3 years ago, the defence was poor (Conte went to 5 at the back it was that bad, teams took 12-15 games to figure it out and that was where the title was won). I'm not really sure how we fix it though, it feels like a weak era for centre backs so the few genuinely good ones are wanted by all, at top prices.

6 goals and 5 assists in 9 Premier League appearances. Bringing the level of creativity that has been unimaginable in Man United since Scholes retired, with the exception of rare flashes from Pogba. There will be no limits for Bruno if he keeps this up. Thankfully he always expressed his love for the Premier League so the chances are bigger that he stays for a long time here, since Man United have every intention of getting back to contending for trophies in the near future... Given some of the lows that happened this season, got to be happy with still having chances in two competitions.

Leicester and Chelsea also win by three goals to remain in top 4 for now. Going to be interesting how they cope with tougher remainder of their match schedules. Wolves slip in the race for CL after losing at home to Arsenal.

Nice performance for a change in a 4-1 away win over Villarreal, early own goal from their defender Torres, a nice first time finish from Suarez after Leo escaped several players, a beautiful lob outside the area from Griezmann, and Fati scoring late after coming off the bench. But we all know it's too late.

So just some individual pieces of info. Today there is a change on Barcelona's all time top goalscorers podium. Cesar Rodriguez, who played for the club from 1939 to 1955, was our number one with 232 goals for 57 years. Then in 2012 Lionel Messi at only 24 years of age broke that record and has been raising the bar ever since, now standing at unreal 630. And tonight, Luis Suarez has officially become the 3rd best goalscorer in the rich history of FC Barcelona, tying our 50s Hungarian striker Laszlo Kubala at 194 goals. It took him less than six years to get there.

Felicitats, Luis...

What do you think about Fati?
I like the kid very much. Makes quite risky ambitious decisions for his age, it obviously won't work all the time but it's a big positive. Him and midfielder Puig have clear potential, I said it after our recent game against Bilbao when they came on for our established legends and noticeably improved our performance on the pitch. We have to nurture them the best way possible.

For the first time in a while I am envious of your state, though I have always had great admiration for Manchester United. I only named two young players here (left out De Jong since he was a big transfer while also being injured at the moment) because we mostly look like a veteran team, with Leo, Suarez, Alba, Pique, Busquets and Rakitic all over 30. You guys are the opposite, and the atmosphere within the club looks very positive too. Whether it's going to result in titles over the next few years remains to be seen but your blueprint is the kind of football blueprint I am a big fan of. And I hope it works out.

He's been called up for the national team a few times recently, making one appearance so far. I'd say he is decent at most things, and will feature on a more regular basis when Ramos retires, but I am more and more reluctant to rate defenders these days because the standard in that part of the pitch has gone down. A lot of teams used to be blessed with quality commanders of the back line, nowadays it's a different story...

Completely agree, the standard has dropped quite a bit, but the prices have gone up considerably. VVD was worth every penny, but he seems to be the exception.

We're probably going to end up with Rice and attempt to turn him into a Centre Back, not ideal, but there aren't exactly many options.

yeah, I can't really argue against VVD being worth every penny. Maguire will be judged in time. I am a fan, of course, but you do see the odd error that you wouldn't see at the very top. Most of the people talking now are saying a CB is still needed. I'm just not sure who that could be. Any time a keeper gets beat at his near post the near post army come out to get ya. haha :p Looking great going forward once more and that has been a joy to see. It's not like it is a disaster at the back. I think as an overall unit, the defense is strong. Room for improvement.

No slip up against Villa please.

I think Maguire is decent, by todays standards. It's the £80 Million price tag that will get him criticism. If he cost £20 Million or came up through the ranks? I think he would be appreciated more and not be compared to VVD (who cost a bit less the year before).

It's a bit like Kepa, he's a decent Premier League keeper and I think he'll turn out to be pretty good eventually (maybe back in Spain), but the price tag means people ignore the great things he does (he signed for a world record fee, of course he should be Superman!), then jump all over him when he's less than perfect.

Just the way the game is these days, I suppose.

Crazy finish in Sevilla vs Eibar game. Hosts protecting a 1-0 lead and the added time lasted over 10 minutes. In the 101st minute Ocampos saved Dmitrovic's attempt from close range to get Andalusians one step closer to Champions League next season.

The crazy part? Ocampos is Sevilla's winger (and was the only scorer of tonight's game) who played the last minutes as a goalkeeper due to Vaclik getting injured and Sevilla having no subs left, while Dmitrovic is Eibar's actual goalkeeper.

..

Our next game is the Barcelona derby on Wednesday. Hoping for the same performance as the one against Villarreal. Especially since we can officially send Espanyol down to Segunda. About time they change their environment, it's been 26 years since the last La Liga season without them.

Nice win for Milan last night against Juventus. 2-0 down and winning 4-2. Doesn't really make any difference to the Italian league. Lazio haven't been performing since the return,

Chelsea with a tight win over Palace. Leicester dropped more points but you can always rely on the gunners to make sure Leicester would leave with something.

Earlier in Juventus' derby win over Torino, Ronaldo finally scored a free kick goal for Juventus. With that he became the first Juventus player to score 25 goals in one Serie A season since 1961. *insert sixpad commercial* ;)

Who would have thought 4-2 would happen after a goalless first half. Great comeback from Milan. 3 goals in 5 minutes. They look much better since football restarted, beating Lazio and Juve in the last few days. Too late for Champions League though as top 4 in Italy are miles ahead. Narrow 1-0 win over Espanyol in what turned into a 10 vs 10 game early in the second half after Fati and Lozano got straight red cards for very dangerous tackles. Suarez scored the only goal when Leo's shot from Griezman's backheel return pass was blocked right into his path. He now stands alone as the 3rd best goalscorer Barcelona have ever had.

With that result, Espanyol are officially relegated for the first time in 27 years. Since 1994 when they immediately returned, they won Copa del Rey in 2000 and 2006, and lost in the final of UEFA Cup, now known as Europa League, on penalties to Sevilla in 2007, the same year when they took great pleasure in denying us La Liga title with a last minute equalizer at Camp Nou in the penultimate game.

But, as we occasionally chanted in the city derby, they had to get relegated to become a champion. And in 2021, they will have their chance to win something again. Adios. :)
