Could be, but i never use volkl cyclone because its too damn expensive here in EU. For the same money i could buy a reel of Babolat rpm blast and for the same money i could buy 4 reels of pretty good Pros pro poly. Anyway my green tshirt feels the same as my yellow oneAnyone who has used the various colours of Volkl Cyclone 16G would totally disagree with your assertion.

Trust me ... You look a whole lot better in Green. And if you look good, you will play good
Quite a few are pretty slick but don’t stay slick for very long. Intense Heat is slick but the Hexaspin twist yellow is the slickest I’ve tried.Which PP poly has the slickest surface? I'm looking for good string to hybrid with nat gut.
Black Force?Which PP poly has the slickest surface? I'm looking for good string to hybrid with nat gut.

Keep us updated. Seems like a win win combo for me. Durabilty of concept and bite of blackout.I had a 3 hour session yesterday using a hybrid of Black Out 1.24 mains and Concept 1.24 crosses at 56/54 lbs (used a Drop Weight) installed on my TC97 and to me it felt crisp and low powered, good bite on the ball and easy access to spin. I need to put more hours on it but currently I think I prefer the Black Eruption/Red Devil combo because it is more plush and has more feel on touch shots, need to test it out more.

I am using cyber power 1.20. Fantastic string for cross. Very slick and plenty of power.
At what tension? I tried cyber power 1.20 white at 25/24 Kg. It was slick but on the other hand extremly low powered. Control was out of this world and it had quite a good spin for round poly but man, so low powered.I am using cyber power 1.20. Fantastic string for cross. Very slick and plenty of power.
Well...I’m having a hard time buying Pro’s Pro strings as all the infos we get is a complete nonsense.So... Plenty of power or low powered??

For exemple I’m actually playing with Tourna silver 7 tour, what would be close to it ?

Really? 1.28 sounds better in every way, except I guess feeling more like a board than strings? Haven't tried anything above 1.25.Pro's Pro Black Out would play similar. But probably would not be as durable. Play ability will drop off after about 4 hours in 16x19 patterns.
Black Out 1.28 would be more control orientated, have more spin potential and be more durable compared to 1.24.
Are you sure about 1.24 thickness? i thought it came only in 1.20, 1.22, 1.28 and 1.33? ofcourse rpm blast is premium therefore price of 100euro for reel justified. Despite still expensive so i used it only during indoor tournament. It can eve. be strung at 25kg without feeling unconfortable but still elastic. That's amazing. Complete reverse in Australia. Volkl Cyclone is seen as a value for money brand here. Babolat RPM Blast is a premium string almost 50% more expensive per 200 metre reel.
Pro's Pro does not have a Retailer in Australia. We usually get our PP String direct from Austria or the United Kingdom depending on which is cheaper based on Currency Exchange rates at any particular time.

My mistake, Black Out 1.24 and Concept 1.22 I'm not looking for power actually that's why I prefer high tensions but I am interested in Black Force as a cross because of the good reviews but I have bad durability issues with multi as cross that's why I prefer Plus Power as mains. Are you sure about 1.24 thickness? i thought it came only in 1.20, 1.22, 1.28 and 1.33? Exactly. The same text is written under each of their string, stating they are the best in power, control, comfort, playability, tension maintenance and durability. The unicorn of the string world hahaLol, yeah. They seem to use all possible superlatives, and often the same ones, when describing their strings.
Well I understand your point. The problem is that despite a not so bad tennis level ( I’m 5/6 and playing regularly with 4/6 and 3/6), I find it quite difficult to distinguish by myself all the qualities of a string. Help from the manufacturer or TT forums is needed so my “feel” can be transcribed into words and string characteristics.I never understood that statement. players are willing to spend $8 to $10 for a string set, to try, but at PP, when it costs $3 people can't try to buy a set!.. go, to test 5 to 6 strings of PP it will cost you 20 to 30$ with shipping.

Thanks for your reply. I’m actually trying to stick with my I.Prestige and its 18x20 pattern so I think 1.24 will be enough. I’ve learnt to string recently (need to buy a machine, any advice on a <500€ machine ?) so I’m less bothered by durabilityPro's Pro Black Out would play similar. But probably would not be as durable. After extensive testing, I use PP Cyber Power 1.20mm exclusively as my cross strings. It's soft & comfortable for a poly. I used Red Revil 1.24mm previously but the control of the CP is superior IMO & it's slick & stays slick. To me its low powered which I want. As a comparison I find RD more powerful than CP.So... Plenty of power or low powered??
formidable!in this case, any Pro's string pro mentioned as often here, red devil, concept, cyberpower, blackforce, and More Power in circles, or eruption and blackout in structured, you can't go wrong, and tell yourself that if it's not broken after 6h, change it.Well I understand your point. So even if I try a whole bunch of PP strings, I’m not sure to be able to choose the right one for me based only on tennis play. I need more info to validate my choice and PP are clearly lacking clarity in that regard.
What colors of cyber power 1.2mm are you using??After extensive testing, I use PP Cyber Power 1.20mm exclusively as my cross strings. It's soft & comfortable for a poly. CP cross used with Hyper G or MSV Hex Soft mains. I tried all 3 strings in full beds & the hybrids just play better for me. Used in Prince TT310 16x18 & my current go to Gravity Tour strung as a 18 X 19.
I am using the 17G 1.20mm Hyper G. Same for the Hex Soft. I'm not much of string breaker so I have always gravitated towards thinner strings. The CP 1.20mm is also softer then the 1.25mm. I wanted my cross to be as soft as possible without being too mushy.@Binatang, what gauge Hyper-G do you use in the hybrid? Why do you use Cyber Power 1.20mm rather than something thicker?
I have only used the white 1.20mm & 1.25mm. They re-stocked the black but I havent tried it & not sure whether I will. The CP 1.20mm is noticeably softer than the 1.25mm in white. It stretches while stringing but not to the level of RD. Easy to string too. What colors of cyber power 1.2mm are you using??
Wonder if you can share your view on the difference stiffness of the colors.
Fyi I am using 1.25mm nano version of cyberpower and silver is stiffness than white.

No idea how they play though, but I suspect Cyber Power to be an excellent cross string a gut/poly hybrid. I'll check it out down the road.
Keep us updated. Seems like a win win combo for me. Durabilty of concept and bite of blackout.
Someone already tried it many pages ago. TLDR: it started to be too springy very soon and it also bagged out rly quickly. He than switched to Black Force as cross and it gave him better durability and control with slightly less comfort.Had a doubles match yesterday, followed by an hour of heavy hitting. I was enjoying the combination more as it allowed me to hit all out and the balls just land deep with heavy spin.
I am starting to like this combo on my TC97 but will probably lower the tension slightly next time. I am also curious to try Black Out mains and Red Devil Cross just to see if it will give more feel to the stringbed.

This was the main reason I wanted to know how Concept+Blackout works together. Durability and "good feel" of Concept and bite and spin of Blackout seem like ultimate combo.
Blackout in full bed dies at about 4-5 hours of heavy hitting. If Concept can double this time window it would be a perfect budget hybrid IMHO.
Again, keep us updated

Is there a difference with the little bit cheaper nano cyber power? And while you probably dont have used them all do you maybe have experience with some of the newer more exotic Pros pro strings that are seldom tested here like: cyclone power, kudeta, strategem 10, revoltec or interceptor(is this really close to yptp?)cyberpower (in white) is for me an underestimated string, and that is probably much better than big brand chains and often 4 to 5 times more expensive.
used in full bed or cross this string would be an exceptional string if it cost $10 a set and lasted 6 hours, and sold by a big brand. used in full bed or cross this string would be an exceptional string if it cost $10 a set and lasted 6 hours, and sold by a big brand. but alas, costing less than 4$ and for more than 8 hours (I cut it to 8), but unfortunately sold by PP it became a Zero junk.
just to be put in the trash for some. but I do not want to contradict that, PP could sell these strings more expensive! don't tell everyone too much.
more seriously, I think your demands are reaching limits there, you are looking for a non-existent miracle. at this level we have to make some concessions. comfort, flexibility, control, stability tension, price, or many of these things. but want everything, and at $2 a set.
Now powerfull and controlled is a combination that seems very atractive to me. I guess you refer to the thinnest 1.20 Cyclone power? Maybe suitable as a cross too? You know i play during tournaments often players that only try to keep the ball in the court or even try to slow down rallys. Therefore i have to give the balls some speed myself without overhitting. Otherwise each match become a duel of stamina. When trying a few outings on the ITF senior tour it becomes the other way around. Then i have to defend more then i would like except when my serve is on.I tried the nano cyber once, and there's something I didn't like at all. as much cyberpower was a nice and easy string to play, as much the cyber nano had something that seemed to bother me, and did not suit me. As cyberpower suited me, I didn't seek to learn more about cyber. cyclone power, is strange, it is between a signum firestorm and a cyberpower . it plays in my opinion in the same category as alu power. it's in my opinion something very powerful and very controlled, but I didn't go any further, and I've switched to hybrid since.
except its not durable and very expensive!Such a string exists, created by God himself, and available to all of us mere mortals ...
It is called .... NATURAL GUT !!!!
