Will anyone here admit...

YES!!! String color is a big influence on whether I buy or not. For example, I love velocity mlt but the 17g is black so I haven’t bought it. Also I prefer strings that are red like blast rough or blue like pro line evolution or lynx, while disliking green or yellow like ultra cable. It also needs to go with my racquet. I am testing frames but I am currently trying blades and a hyper g is fugly, while an rpm blast or natural color multi is beautiful. In short, color makes quite a difference in how I buy strings.

Currently using the pink Yonex PTS in my Pure Strike. Looks like crap, but ordered this colour by mistake and as nobody is willing to use pink, I’m going to be the one playing with it.

Lately my (female) team mates have been asking “Pink strings, really?”:)

How much do you have left. I actually have a few sets of PTP in pink. I'll use it in the month of October.

two sets left. I use them in a hybrid with black velocity, so 4 racquets to go. I’ll be done before winter is over.

good thing I didn’t get a reel tho ;)

that they choose their strings or string color based on the brand or color of their racquet? :p
Totally do!

I got some pink PolyTour Spin for my new EZONE 98 'cause I think it looks cute! :) And then my forearm started to hurt, so back to softer PolyTours (Fire and Air).

How are you liking your Ezone 98? I got one and felt it needed just a little bit more weight. I ordered the Tour and it is absolutely AMAZING! I string it with the Flash Yellow PTP 16L, because it looks nice with the blue frame and because I like the string!

Pretty much.

Rather sad that we don't get Yellow or Pink Velocity easily over here in the UK.

Think I'll go with Volkl Power Fiber Pro instead then :X3:.

Haha, absolutely... ;) I have reels of Yonex Poly Tour Pro in bright yellow, black and blue for that reason.

If the string I want has different color options, then absolutely! I opt for the lime green Volk Cyclone to match my Blades, and the black Cyclone to match my Clash - if I don't have a choice, though, it isn't a big deal. I really like 4G and would use it over the Cyclone if it were cheaper, and I don't think there are color options for it.

Yeah why not if one works? I usually try a string I'm familiar with in a new frame and if that doesn't work great, I look for well received strings in certain colors.

Nope. Can't admit to something I don't do.

Can I nominate multiple 3.0 players who match their Blade 98 frame with Hyoer G ? [emoji6]

Blade 98 v7 and hyper g go very well together as a combo (color aside) so I'm not surprised you see that often.

Hyoer G wasn't meant for 3.0 players and neither was a Blade 98. Of course if hitting lobs and short balls inside the service line if the goal that combo works great for those players

I figured you would be able to deduce that people get advice from others and that's why they end up with hyper g. It's not like they know what hyper g is until someone shows them it.... Conversations usually go like "Hey what's good in the blade? Oh hyper G? Thanks." I don't think they say "hey I want a green poly idc what it is...."

Some stringers are a larger part of the problem. I know two who regularly put poly in 3.0 and 3.5 players frames. Then that poly stays in their frames for 3-6 months.

Most players don't get any advice or worse bad advice. Knowing multiple 3.0 women, I can promise you some ask for matching strings, not just Hyper G in blades. I have received numerous request to match or color coordinate strings to frames. Thankfully this isn't a real problem like Paraphilic infantilism [emoji870]

That’s funny and sad. I’ve seen people match a lime green Wilson Pro over-grip to a Blade. It may have been me. Is that bad? :censored:

I think I qualify as 3.0(lol I don’t even know what I am) but I use hyper g in my blades. It’s ugly but it works, kinda like pushing;)

Exactly. Not sure why stringers do this. Doesn't help their business either if that poly is left in for a year....

Favorite string then? Forten nylon?
I should have posted cheap polyester from the ones that I have used before. Not synth gut. I have used Kirschbaum strings and I really like ProLine II and Shark. Also have used Prince XR tour. TW has those almost all the time at buy one get one free for the Kirschbaum so I get those when they're on sale. Also the price of Prince Tour XR is $5, an excellent deal.

I’m going to try kirschbaum for the first time, I have pro line 2 in my youtek ig prestige pro at 48/46 and it’s nice. But I’m going to try pro line evolution because I like a softer response than pro line 2.

I wanted to love Hyper G as it looks great in the Blade v7. Unfortunately, I absolutely hated the string relative to other polys I have used, so it got cut out where before its time was up. I'll stick with black or natural colored strings for now in that stick.

Love it! Yes, I'd rather it be 310g or so with a higher swing weight. But I think it's easier to use than produces the same results (I've compared directly with my old Ai98). There's a little you're giving up in terms of stability, but I think the newer materials make this generation even better than the 2018 one.

I'm two seconds away from 'accidentally' ordering the Osaka PJ. :)

Oh, and the tour was a little heavy for my taste. I demoed but ultimately passed.

I think Wilson Revolve makes a string that is green like Hyper G and it’s a synthetic gut.

Revolve is a multi I believe and I've tried it (in black). I disliked the feel (too springy and not as much spin potential as I like) and I recall the string die transferring to the ball. In any case though -- thanks for the suggestion on another bright green string!

I prefer black to match my all black RF97As but I use whatever string I play with the best. Currently Grapplesnake Alpha which is a golden yellow color. About to try natural gut / poly hybrid for the first time though. Good thing about the all-black racquets is that every string looks good in them.

Wilson Revolve is a slick smooth copoly that has a lot of spin potential. Perhaps you are thinking of NXT or Sensation Plus, as both come in black.

If anyone is looking for a chartreuse /green multi, Wilson Sensation for you.

Hollow Core and Hollow Core Pro will ruin that black RF 97A look and any game you have. [emoji6] Truly two of the worst strings ever made IMO and others. But like the Cadberry Easter bunny, they weren't around for long. [emoji28]

I would like to if I could. Got new Angell and using Hyper-G, kinda contrasting so I'm trying to look for similar orange poly and I'm eyeing on WeisCannon Fire Stroke, any input on this?
