No more international annoyance for a while. Yeah, I'd agree on it being wide open this season. Liverpool goal difference record, conceding a lot. VVD missing the season could get them. Just hope we can close the gap to 7 points tonight. Still have a game in hand afterwards.

I've had Telles in many football manager games. Bring some of that form to real life, my son.

Please start Cavani and rest/drop Martial.

I'll take it tonight. Winning is everything.

The West Brom keeper has played well and some good defense.

Goldbridge was not impressed.

''I play Fifa and my team chemistry hovers around 90%. This United team today looked like they were at 5%''

Ouch.

Still waiting for Man United to get into the mix of those inconsistent contenders. However they seem to have mastered inconsistency better than Chelsea, Tottenham and Leicester combined lol.

Since Jose brags even after average results, imagine him if Spurs win the league. Part of me wants to see that. :-D
Fist pumping to the empty stadium. :D Like our Muzziah waving at nobody in the stands. Great stuff.

Still kind of wrapping Bale in cotton wool. Spurs looking good.

No doubt. haha

I'm surprised at City. With United, it is kind of expected in the current era. I'd say the loss of David Silva has to be the main reason. Their attacking stats are pretty poor so far this season.
Also, Sane to Bayern Munich and Aguero being injured. Credit to Totties yesterday though. They played a well disciplined 90 minutes.

I thought they nailed it on MOTD. They’re giving teams far too much space in midfield. When you think of top teams over the last 15 years, winning the midfield battle is the foundation of their success.

Barcelona and the “carousel”, as Fergie put it, was where it started. Guardiola perfected it, so it’s surprising to see them being so poor in that department. Usually you can’t breath in there against them, they run rings round you, win the ball back quickly, dominate possession etc..

Without that, they look average and actually quite easy to play against.

Meanwhile, David Silva is helping Real Sociedad (Mason) mount a title challenge. Yeah, I wouldn't expect them to be top at the end of the season but I hear they are doing well right now. Does Fernandinho still get much game time at City? I've only really been following their results for the most part. They were always 2 key players for City.

I'm watching this at my friend house tonight. It's funny because most times we watch the games, it ends up with us resembling Paul Scholes or Gary Neville. Scholes with the too scared to get excited after a big win vibe. Makes total sense if you know Man Utd. Then my mate goes into the Neville mode and starts trying to educate me. lol Yeah, those United nights are wild.

All jokes aside, we better win tonight. :p

I've reported you to Boris!

He might let you off, misery loves company ;)

Good night for most of the game for United. Donny looked more than capable. I wonder if Ole will have the bottle to play Bruno, Donny and Fred together in the bigger matches. I have my doubts but surely Donny has to start after playing so well. Cavani's work to help out for the second goal and his all round play was great. Just lacking the goal tonight.

Can't afford to take off Bruno and Rashford after an hour even against these guys. Appalling second half. :-D But the strongest line up does give hope for better days.

De Gea would have needed to take a Rafa return position to keep that free kick out. :p

Yeah, it looked like United took their foot off the gas after they went 3-0, then the subs didn't really get going immediately.

I don't know what to think if Ole didn't see the greatness of Donny and Bruno playing in the same team. Donny might not hit the long passes like Pogba but look at his short passing. He doesn't waste the ball and gets it forward. You can just see the difference from the rubbish WBA performance and tonight. Only 2 changes this time. If that doesn't show the boss the magic then I'll be annoyed.

Just waiting till I hear the team news for Southampton.

The opening goal was pure video game magic. Real interesting couple of games coming up. Prepared for my heart to sink when I see the lineup vs Southampton. No offense to Mata or McTominay but I don't want to see either of them start. Matic could come in for Fred. I just don't want to see 2 of them, it has to be 1 along with Bruno and DVB. Do if, Ole. Please.

RIP, Diego Maradona. He died of cardiac arrest while recuperating in the hospital from brain surgery. The legend is dead at age 60.

This could have become the most open Champions League if it wasn't for Bayern. They sure picked a perfect time to assemble such a great team.

RIP Maradona...

More controversy with the fans returning, or not returning.

From sky sports

A long list of Premier League clubs, including Manchester City, Manchester United, Aston Villa, Newcastle and Leicester will be unable to have fans back in person, however.

Supporters of Burnley, Leeds, Sheffield United, West Brom and Wolves will also have to wait longer before any of them can cheer their teams on inside their grounds.

London has been named as a Tier 2 area, which places it in the 'High' risk category. That means Arsenal will become the first English top-flight club to welcome back fans when they host Rapid Vienna in a Europa League group-stage clash on Thursday, December 3, and they have said tickets will be available to fans on a "first come, first served priority sale" to certain members who registered for the ballot in September.

Rangers really are getting it done. Gotta give shout out to Tavernier. I did a football manager game with Rangers and selling him ended up being the springboard for my success. Liverpool offered 15 and add-ons. I didn't really want to sell him so I asked for 30 up front. They accepted, then I got Guga in to replace him for less than 10 million. He ended up being assist machine and could also defend. Wow. And then everything else fell into place.

Got them to the final of 2 Euro Cups. Lost to Spurs 3-1 and United 2-0. :(

It was nice to see Liverpool dropping some points yesterday.
It will be nice to see a Man Utd team today that does not include Juan Mata in the starting 11
It will be nice to see DVB and Bruno connecting on a greater than Man Utd level.

Looking forward to the game vs Southampton. Chelsea vs Spurs is hot as well.

Super Sunday!

Might be pointing out the obvious but looking like Paul Pogba is done at United. Missing all last season and looking to repeat it this season. Yeah yeah, Pogba might be more talented than Bruno but then you hear that bs about tennis players and everything in life. Talent only gets you through the door. It has felt like wasted talent at United for the most part. Blame him and what is going on around him. I'd now say the best looking United team does not include Pogba.

Roy Keane and his DDG agenda. Wow. I do enjoy listening to a bit of Roy but he has lost the plot on this one.

Good news, Donny keeps his pl;ace. Greenwood in for Martial. Matic and Fred both start. Looking like a diamond on paper. At least we know there will be some balls coming in from the left.

United's defense is still disturbing. Lucky not to be 2-0 down here.

Spoke too soon. Ward-Prowse is lethal with those set pieces. Yes, thank you, captain obvious. 2-0.

Commentators are slaughtering Cavani because he didn't have his laces tied lol ''He must have known he was coming on.''

Well, all will be forgiven if he scores.

Henderson on for the injured DDG.

All is forgiven. :giggle:

Cavani with the double impact since coming on. (just seconds after half time. haha) An assist for Fernandes and a sweet diving header to level things up. Still 20 minutes to try and get a winner.

CAVANI GOAT :D

What a player. Teamwork first rate and Rashford with a nice cross! wut! haha Get in. Cavani with another header. Wow. I'm sure Ole will be getting those comparisons to him as the super sub. But he must bloody start the next game!

A really nice win. Looked to be putting some momentum together and then Southampton come in to make it all come crashing down and Ole out brigade on the loose.

And then he entered

Hold my boots, I don't need them.

And the momentum continues. Not ready to get carried away just yet. Maybe if we beat West Ham and City. o_O
