That really sucks for him but i hope he doesn't do his typical tactic of pretending he's fine to play tennis. The whole talk of "race against time" to try get rid of it so he can play is not how it works. He needs to isolate and not train with others so he doesn't put anyone elses life at risk. Also no slams should be relaxing rules for players no matter how high profile and based on what i'm reading, it seems they already did such a thing for Sandgren and could possibly do the same for Murray? That is just ridiculous to me.

Testing positive has two meanings: one where the patient is still infectious and one where they are merely shedding dead virus.

Murray is still infection whereas Sandgren is not.

I’m assuming it’s probably the more transmissible UK mutant variant too. Not sure if he’ll be able to come to Australia. Think they’re still trying to figure out if you’re still infectious even when you’re shedding the variant strain. Had a few issues over that already.

I really hope he isn’t impacted too much and that his family doesn’t get it.

Just read that Nicolas Massu tested positive just before his flight, so he may not be in Thiem's coaching box for the Aussie Open. And Moya isn't making the trip for Nadal (he didn't test positive, just decided not to go).

Things are shaping up for another boring Djokovic title...

Yeah i get that as a concept and i can only hope and trust the health officials in regards to Sandgren but with how transmittable the disease is, i would still be taking no chances. I just want a safe slam, paticularly here because they have done such a good job of containing it so far. For them to have an outbreak via a tennis tournament would be awful. All in all tho, i just hope a speedy recovery for Murray and hope his family and team stay safe.

May the almighty Lord bless my country's symbol of tennis pride with good recovery and health very soon.
Amen
