The dampener on those racquets are placed in an illegal spot on the racquet. I wonder if he got them that way from Fed ( LOL) or he put them on there himself.
hi I might bid on one do you think there going to get a lot of bids.
are you being serious when you say it's illegal to have a dampener above the last cross string??? I put a O dampener between last 2 crosses and it provides better feel, less mute.
Of course it matters. It is illegal. You eihter follow the rules or you don't.
I just think it's amusing that someone with a sig that says "no compromise" that they're condoning breaking the rules
I personally don't think it's a big deal in casual play, but regardless, it is against the "rules."

In the picture above, Andy's rubberband seems to be tied below the bottom-most cross string.
Yes, this is the rule. (Good description.)It is illegal. I have said this several times and most people don't care. You cannot have anything overlapping with the area bounded by the outermost crosses and mains. Even if they don't touch a string, they cannot even protrude into the area, or rather the volume, perpendicular to the strings that has the extreme strings as a boundary.
A question for you Drak....
If suddenly, a rule come out saying that using Kevlar strings is illegal....
Would you change them????
I think you won't, since you love them....
You probably will change to a Poly strung at.... like 80lbs....
But then, you'll go back to your beloved Kevlar strings....
Huh???? This post is entirely irrelevant.
The rules are the rules. Follow them.

^^^ I'm quite aware he is talking about my strings. The problem with his argument is as follows::
the strings I currently use are not illegal, neither is the tension I string at. Having a dampener in an illegal place on the frame is >>>> ILLEGAL.
Unfortunately he is the type of person that foot faults (just a little) because it is no big deal. However, when his opponent foot faults by two feet>> he has a cow, and wants to use the "rules" to support his argument.
My example was:
....terrible, that's what it was.
We're talking about an existing rule here, and you're hypothesizing about new rules and changes and fairness and and and....
Plain terrible. Put your dampeners outside the string-bed-pattern, and play according to the rules. No Compromise.

It doesn't matter.... It's just illegal for tournaments....
btw orange.... your signature breaks the rule
Rulo, I'm hardly "mad". My issue is with your response to the following poster:
..........................................................................................
As I stated before>> it does matter. It's a rule. In addition, it doesn't ONLY apply to tournaments. Your post if read by the person who asked the question is misleading, and incorrect information.
this thread is stupid now.
Yeah there will be. I have about 25 watchers already
Rest assured that is not a fake but the starting price is obscene. I have a couple of those and I'm selling one. Check out my prostaff guys. I just posted it today, item number 200116379076
If you actually looked for them on **** a week before I posted my 6.0. There was a guy proclaiming that he has a couple of feds actual racquet. Funny thing is he said that Federer gave it to a friend of his that gave it to him. I didn't say anything about my stick being Fed's frame.
didn't know it was illegal to have a dampener there. is having one below the lowest corss (fist cell on the throat) legal??
I think i've seen roddick's rubber band tied at the lowest corss, is that legal??
