Your thoughts?
Is this just a standard paintjobbed racquet, or could it possibly be his?

Also has Courier's balcked out St. Vincent for sale.

Rest assured that is not a fake but the starting price is obscene. I have a couple of those and I'm selling one. Check out my prostaff guys. I just posted it today, item number 200116379076

The dampener on those racquets are placed in an illegal spot on the racquet. I wonder if he got them that way from Fed ( LOL) or he put them on there himself.

didn't know it was illegal to have a dampener there. is having one below the lowest corss (fist cell on the throat) legal??

I think i've seen roddick's rubber band tied at the lowest corss, is that legal??

did federer ever use that of the tournagrip back then?

also, it looks like a babolat leather grip, thus this is total b.s.

are you being serious when you say it's illegal to have a dampener above the last cross string??? I put a O dampener between last 2 crosses and it provides better feel, less mute.

It doesn't matter.... It's just illegal for tournaments....

Of course it matters. It is illegal. You eihter follow the rules or you don't.

Ok Drakulie....
Ok.... ;)

A question for you Drak....
If suddenly, a rule come out saying that using Kevlar strings is illegal....
Would you change them????
I think you won't, since you love them....
You probably will change to a Poly strung at.... like 80lbs....
But then, you'll go back to your beloved Kevlar strings....

I just think it's amusing that someone with a sig that says "no compromise" that they're condoning breaking the rules ;)

I personally don't think it's a big deal in casual play, but regardless, it is against the "rules."

It is illegal. I have said this several times and most people don't care. You cannot have anything overlapping with the area bounded by the outermost crosses and mains. Even if they don't touch a string, they cannot even protrude into the area, or rather the volume, perpendicular to the strings that has the extreme strings as a boundary.

Yes, this is the rule. (Good description.)

I did ask a USTA official at a League Sectionals a few years ago, and he described the rule as you have, but said if he saw part of a rubberband (or other type of dampener) cross over the lowest cross string slightly, he wasn't going to make a fuss about it.

Huh???? This post is entirely irrelevant.

The rules are the rules. Follow them.

he was talking about you changing your strings....

does putting a rubberband, for example, above the last cross give you any advantage????
why is illegal????
will cops take me to prison if i don't obbey that rule???? (just kidding :D )

Oh Drak....
You didn't get it....
Calm down....

My example was:
If suddenly a rule come out saying that is illegal to use kevlar strings....
It won't be fair for those people who use them, like you....
After all, is up to you if you use them or not, since you don't hurt anyone using them....
The same with the people who uses vibe-damps in illegal places....
If they go to a tournament, then you MUST take it off or put it correctly,
but if someone plays for fun (out of a tournament) with one of his friends, and he put the vibe-damp in a illegal position, I don't see how he can hurt his opponent....
There's no advantage for him, indeed, is bad for him, because the ball may be hit by the vibe damp and fly away....
I DO obbey rules.... But I'm just saying that it's ok while he don't do that on a tourney or if his opponent let him do that....

I hope you understand now....

^^^ I'm quite aware he is talking about my strings. The problem with his argument is as follows::

the strings I currently use are not illegal, neither is the tension I string at. Having a dampener in an illegal place on the frame is >>>> ILLEGAL.

Unfortunately he is the type of person that foot faults (just a little) because it is no big deal. However, when his opponent foot faults by two feet>> he has a cow, and wants to use the "rules" to support his argument.

No.... I never break rules....
If my opponent break rules, is up to him (while it don't affect my game or while it don't protect him from being destroyed ;) )
I used to have my dampeners in a illegal positions, but not know....
You didn't get it....

Maybe you think I'm a rude teenager (like the tipical Roddick Fan) because of my signature, but I'm not ;) ....
Sorry if what I've said made you get mad....

....terrible, that's what it was.

We're talking about an existing rule here, and you're hypothesizing about new rules and changes and fairness and and and....

Plain terrible. Put your dampeners outside the string-bed-pattern, and play according to the rules. No Compromise.

mmmm....
i think he said he dont break rules....

you guys are a little bit.... mmmm i dont know how to say it....

for example:
if a guy say that he think gays should have rights, you think he is gay....
but is not always that way....
does americans who think that bush is wrong when he attack the poor people in afghanistan, are terrorist????

btw orange.... your signature breaks the rule ;)

Rulo, I'm hardly "mad". My issue is with your response to the following poster:

are you being serious when you say it's illegal to have a dampener above the last cross string??? I put a O dampener between last 2 crosses and it provides better feel, less mute.

^^^as you could see, he was asking if I was being serious about the rule related to where a dampener could be placed. Obviously, he doesn't know a rule exists and wants to learn.

Then you write the following:

It doesn't matter.... It's just illegal for tournaments....

As I stated before>> it does matter. It's a rule. In addition, it doesn't ONLY apply to tournaments. Your post if read by the person who asked the question is misleading, and incorrect information.

I see Drak....
I think we both get a little bit confused....
You didn't understood me and I didn't understood you....
But know we're both clear.... ;)
Anyway....
I just want you to know that I DO follow the rules....

Yeah there will be. I have about 25 watchers already :D

How can you possibly prove they were actually Federer's racquets...HOW? You don't mention it in your listing. I am curious to see how much they go for. I guess if you don't need proof there is nothing stopping other people from selling their "Federer used" racquets. You seem like an honest guy, but how do you exepect anyone with a brain to actually bid on them??

If you actually looked for them on **** a week before I posted my 6.0. There was a guy proclaiming that he has a couple of feds actual racquet. Funny thing is he said that Federer gave it to a friend of his that gave it to him. I didn't say anything about my stick being Fed's frame.

If your talking about my quote: I thought that the OP said that those painted racquets were home made and not by factory. So for extra exposure, I posted my item number here to see if how much is the value of 6.0 pj right now.

On the lowest cross string could not be illegal, because there was a Dunlop dampener that they sold for many years and that was unique to them and it was made to be attached right on the lowest cross string. The dampener cannot be placed above the lowest cross string though.
