Everyone's talking about the guys' side of things but what about the Women? I think there's some potential for it to get pretty interesting on that side.

It seemed REALLY interesting before it started, but there's been so many upsets (Andreescu, Kvitova, Kerber I guess, Kenin, Azarenka) that not only has it become less so, but it makes you wonder how many more of them will fall before all those people you thought would be contenders early get to face each other.

Also, the top half is such a joke it's actually sad that someone from that half is going to get to go all the way. Who will choke least between Barty, Pliskova and Svitolina? (Pulling hard for D-Veks, and Yulia) Bottom half is still pretty exciting. Muguruza-Osaka and Halep-Swiatek could both be epic if they happen (watch one or both not :-D).

I accepted long ago that the inconsistency of the women's game is what makes it more exciting. Anyone could crap out at any time and there's no guarantee that someone having one strong performance indicates another one is coming. I mean, you could probably give a ball girl a racquet and she'd have a shot at it.

Svitolina for sure
She looked rough in her first-round match but better against Gauff. She's consistent but her serve could be a big let down once she runs out of unseeded players. I wouldn't mind seeing her win it though.

The USA still looks ok with the lose of Kenin. Pegula is killing it right now. Will see how she does when the ranked opponents start coming. If i had to predict one person......would be tough. Halep and Swiatek wouldnt surprise me though.

Coco gauff is like 10-15 grand slam champion in the future

I would love to see an Osaka-Barty final, as the prospect of either another slam title for Osaka or Barty becoming the first Australian player to claim the singles title at this event for more than 40 years would be win-win.

I've been an Osaka fan since I watched her 1st round match against Sharapova at Indian Wells in 2018, and I'm just not used to supporting a player that has already won this many grand slam titles ! In modern times, Mauresmo has been the only player I've rooted for of either gender that has actually won any, with many others not even coming close (at least in singles).

I picked Osaka at the beginning of the tournament, but I think if I were to order them now, I'd go:

Muguruza
Swiatek
Osaka
Barty
Williams
Halep
Brady
Sabalenka

something like that.

It's very much a toss up, though.
