It seemed REALLY interesting before it started, but there's been so many upsets (Andreescu, Kvitova, Kerber I guess, Kenin, Azarenka) that not only has it become less so, but it makes you wonder how many more of them will fall before all those people you thought would be contenders early get to face each other.Everyone's talking about the guys' side of things but what about the Women? I think there's some potential for it to get pretty interesting on that side.
I accepted long ago that the inconsistency of the women's game is what makes it more exciting. Anyone could crap out at any time and there's no guarantee that someone having one strong performance indicates another one is coming. I mean, you could probably give a ball girl a racquet and she'd have a shot at it.It seemed REALLY interesting before it started, but there's been so many upsets (Andreescu, Kvitova, Kerber I guess, Kenin, Azarenka) that not only has it become less so, but it makes you wonder how many more of them will fall before all those people you thought would be contenders early get to face each other.
Also, the top half is such a joke it's actually sad that someone from that half is going to get to go all the way. Who will choke least between Barty, Pliskova and Svitolina? (Pulling hard for D-Veks, and Yulia) Bottom half is still pretty exciting. Muguruza-Osaka and Halep-Swiatek could both be epic if they happen (watch one or both not ).
She looked rough in her first-round match but better against Gauff. She's consistent but her serve could be a big let down once she runs out of unseeded players. I wouldn't mind seeing her win it though.Svitolina for sure

You are so not right. This girl is serious talent just needs to keep growing. She is every bit as talented as Venus and probably slightly better than VenusIn doubles?

People love that ESPN/Tennis Channel hype machine !!! I think the players on tour kind of have a handle on what Coco's game is now and the results are showing. In doubles?

Swiatek, Simona,Mugu, Serena, Brady, Svitolina.
In that order.
What about Sabalenka?Swiatek, Simona,Mugu, Serena, Brady, Svitolina.

Not a fan of hers. Her shrieking goes on while her opponent is getting ready to swing. She does look legit though. What about Sabalenka?
She’s looking really good. A title for her here kinda seems like fate, especially after Monfils lost and broke down afterwards.Svitolina for sure
