The real racquet of Blake, Haas and Berdych

Tron

New User
It seems they use the same racquet but I am completely sure those racquets are not Dunlop 200G, nor MFil-200 or AG200

If you take a close look their racquets, they are 18x20 but those racquets have 14 mains under the first throat cross while the 200G, MFil-200 and AG200 have 16 mains under the first cross

Does anybody know what's their real racquet?????????

here go the pics

sorry man, but do you know how many threads have been started about the same subject? it's been beaten to death. try doing a search and you'll come up with lots of information

Well tell me one that covers this subject because I did search but I found no correct answer to this question.

instead of telling him to do a search why dont u just answer the question if u know it, if not then dont bother posting

Because there have been HUNDREDS of posts about this, to rehash all of that would take up more time than it's worth. It's obvious the OP either doesn't know how to search or isn't doing a very good job of it.

or maybe it takes less time to make a thread, and for tron it woulda taken the same amount of time to answer the question

but i agree i have seen this disussion many times, but it isnt that easy doing a specific search

no such thing as giving a new user a break around here. if he did a search he would just get a bunch of information which covers a whole broad spectrum

as i understand it by talking with someone who worked for Dunlop, several of the Dunlop players have their own custom molds, and certainly their own custom layups.

Thanks mJeez for understanding me and NoBadMojo for giving me the right answer.

As I said, I DID SEARCH, but I never found an answer that sounded right as the one from NoBadMojo.

For all the others, you if are SO GOOD users and know how to search, you might realize that there are a lot of information around about Blake's racquet and that a lot of it is just non sense so, it has no sense to take a lot lot of time reading all that info and it's better just to ask.

I don't understand why it bothers so much, it seems there are a lot of people here that only wants to argue all the time, probably you don't have something better to do.

I personaly try to share information here, some times I give, some times I take, and if I have to argue I'll do it because of a good reason not just because I feel like doing it.

Come on guys, don't you have anything more interesting to do???

doesn't bother me in the least if you want to post a question to something that's been posted about almost every week for the past 2 years.

that is true. if the OP cared to search they would have found this exact same answer in quite a few threads. just takes a little reading ability.

Ok, if it takes so little reading why don't give me the answer or the link to the post instead of being so inconsiderate, what's done is done and I can't erase the thread so you don't fix 2 years of the same post with being unfriendly or ironic with me.

someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning...

and i bet you didnt even know the answer, or you wouldnt be so sour as to simply post the answer instead of numerous posts complaining about the fact that someone couldnt find an answer by searching. and I bet this is how you got into the "hall of fame" 2000+ time-wasting posts.

like that would ever happen.

I already saw that post, thanks for the link anyway though they are talking about what blake is gonna use or what paintjob but I really wanted to know what do he or haas or berdych use exactly.

I never saw any post with the details I am giving about the 16 mains under the first cross in the stock racquet against the 14 in those players racquet that's why I think that although there might be a lot of threads with the subject there are none with these details.

Since I found no Dunlop racquet with those specifications (old or new) I'll take NoBadMojo answer as correct.

Edit: I'll check the other links, I was writing as you edited your post, thanks.

from what i've read on these boards they all have custom racquets, like NoBadMojo stated.

i think the closest stock racquet to Blake's is the Tecnifibre 335. same mold (headsize, beam width, shape) but god knows what JB's layup is.

You should look at racquetdesign's posts. He is the guy that designed Blake, Haas, and Berdych's racquet. From what I understand they all use the same mold with different layups. The mold has never been sold to the public by Dunlop. It is my understanding also that the closest racquet you can buy is the Tecnifibre T-Fight 335 18x20 and T-Fight 320 18x20. The T-Fight 335 and 320 is supposed to be the same mold but with a different layup.

It's a specific dunlop mold for the lot of 'em. The most similar dunlop is the Rev. Tour Pro and the most similar current frame for Blake would be Tecnifibre T-fight 335 and a Tyger Excel Drive.

And as for Richie Rich, lay off him. If you knew of the amount of top posters who have left citing the repetetive q's as a reason then you wouldn't all be sitting insulting him

JonnyF, do you know if the stock MFil-200 is really worth trying?
It's not that I want to use what blake, haas or berdych use, it's just that I trust more the frames that in its stock form are the base for a pro customized frame.

Edit: Actually it's not me the interested in the MFil-200 but I adviced a friend to buy those instead of the more expensive nSix-One 95 18x20, but then I realized the differences with the frames of those players' racquets

Stock M-fil 200 is def. worth a hit. Although maybe my opinions biased I got one brand new for £8

That is correct but I think you meant to say "T-Fight 335 18x20 and T-Fight 320 18x20", not 325.

The T-Fight 325 is an older (now discontinued) model that comes from a different mold and is extended length.

Oops. Thanks BreakPoint. Who can keep track of all these names with different numbers when every year they change the racquets like it is some sort of fashion accessory.

Ohh thanks, that's one of the problems of not having english as your mother tongue hahaha, there are so many A.D.T.X.G.T.S.H.W.S.T.A.J.C in english!!!

I was nearly 30 min trying to figure out what one of the posters ment with "OP", not even talk about "IMO", "IMHO" and all that stuff that took a little time to figure out.

This is off-topic but, why would it be that english spoken people tend to put everything in abbreviations?

It's because we Americans are world renowned for being lazy. Just look at how obese and out of shape we are and how most of us don't speak any other language but English (or Spanish). ;) LOL (oops, there's another one of "those" abbreviations) ;)

I'm sure Lendl would be offended if he was put to a comparison to McEnroe as well, lol.

BTW, McEnroe would probably find ways to be offended by anything. Wasn't he known to continue that specific type of behavior throughout his adulthood/career? On the other hand, Roger Federer as a junior figured out how to cope with that behavior because I'm sure he didn't find any value in it.

hahaha!! well.... now I know why Roddick shows that belly when he uses his t-shirt to get his face dry.. or it could be a little excess of budweiser?

Apparently in his first tour match vs. Phil Dent he was nice and was doing things like giving dent calls etc. and dent said something along the lines of "This is the pro's now we don't do that"

wait a minute...so the pros don't play with the same racquets as the ones sold at sports authority....man....and here i though agassi would switch racquets every year when Head released it's new model....don't tell me that none of the pros havee every played with a real flexpoint...you mean that the dot is only painted on....man.....

Who are you talking about, McEnroe, Lendl, or Federer? Care to site a source?

Apparently McEnroe is nothing like what you've described, and his track record proves just that. Perhaps he was just feeling a bit "new" to the game and required some time to show his true/inner self.

Etract fromthe book
"However, a reality check was just around the corner,in the form of his second-round opponent, Phil Dent, an Australian with a Davis Cup pedigree and a hardened professional veneer. McEnroe was about to get a lesson he would not forget.Disturbed by the incompetence of the line udges, McEnroe sportingly refused to accept the worst of the dubious calls and invited Dent to play a let on more than one occasion.Dent, meanwhile, never reaced to any of the suspect calls that occurred on his side of the court. After five sets, Dent's experience allowed him to prevail. At the net afterwards, the Australian told McEnroe, "Listen, sonny, this is the pros and we don't give away calls." The message was filed in McEnroe's mind-for life."

Oh and yeah, I know about McEnroe's tantrum's. Having seen him play live and having watched numerous matches.

Thanks.
