No, don't think so. He said himself that he will reduce his schedule and not play as many tournaments thus not earning enough points to maintain that ranking, which is fine, he knows what his priorities are -- Grand Slam titles.
He got the record for weeks at #1 and YE#1 might come this year but that is it when it comes to chasing that number 1 spot. Focus is on slams and being undisputed GOAT.

Around 340-350 sounds realistic. It's unlikely that he will be uninterrupted at all until the end of 2022 while all bets are off for the more distant future.

I think one thing that people have not commented on is that with several players just below the Big 3 (and it is really Big 2 now), they may split the points up among themselves and so it may be easier for Djokovic to maintain No. 1 than we think. He has mastery of all surfaces, including clay and each year can win points from all surfaces. I think he is a very real threat to win Wimbledon for the next 7 years (if he plays that long) since Federer will have retired and no one else to this points shows they can win consistently on grass. Tsitsipas may be a real possibility here. Add Wimbledon to AO points and he may be able to maintain the no. 1 longer. He is also a competitor as we saw last year when he played Vienna to guarantee his no. 1 at year end. So, he may play an extra tournament or two to maintain his ranking IF it does not interfere with his slam matches.

Nadal is already at 366 weeks, by far the most at #2 (Federer 218, Djokovic 144, Murray 78)
Rafa would have to stay at #2 until October 18th, 2021 to reach 400 weeks

Very possible with Nadal withdrawing from tournaments and never playing a full season, only threat is from NextGen players. And none of them are consistent enough to challenge him.

I don't see how. If Djokovic has the most slams, has the most weeks at #1, has the better HtH against his biggest rivals for GOAT, leads them in Masters wins, and has the only NCYGS among them, he's locked in as GOAT until someone else surpasses him.

Yeah but like Fed showed in 2017, winning the big events almost defaults you into Top 3 ranking.
Course you could have WTA style #1 lmao like Medvedev winning a few 500s and 4 Masters but 0 Slams while Novak wins 2 Slams, 1 Masters and doesn't do much else (couple of deep runs elsewhere).
I just don't see the consistency from the younger guys though. Zverev, Med, Tsit will take away enough from each other that IF one of them got 4 Masters they'd probably lose out on Slams.

It's such a big number. Hard to imagine another 21 months or so on top, but in reality who's going to stop him except himself and maybe Father Time. There's talk about Medvedev maybe getting the #1 ranking later this year, and it's definitely possible, but he won't be able to hold onto it, at least at this point in his career. I suspect, even if Djokovic loses #1 at some point this year, he'll still retain YE#1 by year's end and continue piling on more weeks.

Probably not but it is no longer a priority to him. It’s all about the slams now and catching fed and Rafa. He has what he wants with the record weeks at no1. He will lighten his schedule for sure.

Doubtful, he’s already said he’s planning to reduce his schedule. If he wins most of the big stuff and Rafa/Roger/NextGen split everything else, he may find himself still on top.

Even if he doesn’t try to win every single event going, he’s still a lock for 2+ slams a year and other deep runs. He will likely win 2+ masters too which would be enough to stay as number 1.

That's a monumental task.....300 weeks is absurd, 400 would just be out of this world outrageous.
Djokovic is going down as the greatest to have ever held the world number one spot as it stands now, but with that goal achieved, he is going to be focusing on grabbing the one remaining record left. So I think 400 is out of reach, would love to be proved wrong though.
