Holger Rune blacked out racket?

Switched from a PD to a blacked out frame recently. Any idea what it is?

Regardless of what he is actually playing, I could see him as a good pickup for Head - amazing potential. However, what frame would he endorse.

Speed: Djokovic and Sinner. (Out of the equation)
Gravity: Zverev. (Possible)
Prestige: Cilic and Popyrin (Possible but his game is not very prestige-like)
Extreme: Berrettini and Musetti) (I think most likely, given gamestyle)
Radical: Murray and Schwartzman (Possible I guess)

While I think the Prestige is in desperate need of a new, young face along with Popyrin, I think the extreme would be the best fit.

Also, somewhat unrelated, but when a player, in this case Holger, is testing another manufacturer's racquet, does his current sponsor know? Assuming they're not seeing photos or videos of him using it. Like does he tell them?

same mold, same layup, same manufacturing site.
Call it whatever fits you ;)

that is same
so in this case, I assume that the pro-stock comes as a hairpin, without the commercial weights

when you say similar, I can assume that there are nuances
technically a cherry tomato is similar to coer de beuf tomato, as both are tomato
whether they come from the same garden, or form different fields of the same tomato growing company

In the USA, tomatoes come from the same factories as kids' plastic toys

There was a thread about Thanasi during the olympics when he played with a blacked out PS97. I think the Babolat line was something like we're fine with our players using blacked out racquets. I think they would probably want their players to try things under contract and give them the chance to see if they have anything close the player may choose instead of leaving.

That’s exactly what I think they did; now holger is using a strike, posted on his Instagram.

I don't know how they initially communicate to the current contract.
Rublev used the Blackout Gravity Pro for a year before officially switching to the PJ April 1 of this year.
There are cases of blatant contract breaches -- Collins just switched from Head to Bab breaking the contract
See, this is exactly why I’ve personally never signed any multi-million dollar racquet contracts. I just don’t want to get myself locked down.

Saw him win a match in Bastad last night. Blacked out stick again with a white Babolat string stencil. If it was the Strike I doubt it would be blacked out, right?.

Beam looked a bit thicker than a Gravity but that’s just based me pausing TennisTV for 10 seconds to look. Anyone else see it?

Looked thicker than Strike too. My guess is that it is some kind of Pure Drive with mods..

He was in my club for a challenger few weeks ago, he sat in front of me in the looker room and the racquets blaked out looks definitely more as prestige or blade than gravity. I even spoke with a couple of players and they told me that no one likes the new speed, and since is not easy get it the old one with the new color, some are dumped head or play with old stick.

I couldn't help notice today when he was playing Albot that some of the black paint was chipping off revealing either orange or red underneath.
