Okay so we have the repeat of last year's SF.
How many games for diego??

He's just won one of the 10 marches against the God of clay.

Discuss here about the match and other aspects, ladies and gentlemen.

Give this a watch - Schwartzman played the match of his life, the highest level he may ever reach professionally, to beat Nadal in Rome last year. Even if he played that level again on Wednesday I'd still give him a set at best. Just unfair to play Nadal on RG.

Nadal in 3. He has always beaten him in 3. I don't understand how schwartman makes it this deep and he only ends up facing Nadal. He is also a pigeon hitting partner with Nadal and a big fan. Nadal won't deliver him a bagel for his freindship

Lol, Nadal never had easy wins over Schwartzman in a slam. Even beating this guy in straight sets usually takes like 3 hours. They had very physical matches where Nadal just was better on the big points.

A straight set win is a straight set win however long it takes. Now pipe down.

Schwartzman is terrible against big opponents. 3-0.
Nadal draw was a joke.
Tsitsipas has the worst draw of them all.

Right. Even if he plays that well, he has to win three sets this time, so he has to keep that level up even longer. I can't see it happening.

My two favorite players left in the draw - neither has dropped a set in the tournament so far! I am expecting Nadal to win in 3 sets, one of which will be close and the other two will be fairly easy sets for him.

Glad to see Schwartzman playing well again!!!!

I have been predicting a Nadal-Zverev final since day one of this tournament...

This is Djokovic's worst nightmare, as we saw last year, Nadal beat Diego 63 63 76(0) and then annihilated Djokovic 60 62 75.
Diego also helped Nadal win the 2019 US Open, and 2018 French Open....
Didn't work at 2018 AO........but nothing works for Nadal in Australia.

Nadal has now won 35 sets in a row at Roland Garros!!! Last set he lost was the 2nd set in the 2019 final to Dominic Thiem...

It worked in 2009 for him.

I was not impressed with Diego today, lots of errors, despite his opponent not doing much with the ball.
That tiebreak was pathetic, basic errors galore.
And Nadal's groundstrokes currently look better (and more aggressive) than last year.

Nadal is favourite but i think Diego can bother Rafa with his defence on the rallies. Rafa has up and downs still his level is better than anyone else but Diego can capitalize them.
You can say Nadal is like 10-1 H2H but if you look at the matches everymatch is physical and long between them.
I think this could be the match Rafa losing a set after a while if he didn't raise his level. Rafa is making too many DF and giving chances to his opponents. Everysecond serve i'm getting nervous whether will he do again.
Rafa must be agresssive and shouldn't go to long rallies much i think.
Rafa in 4 or 3.

Last year it took them about 40 mins to be fully warmed up (3-3 in the 1st set). Not sure about this Wednesday.

If RG's crap scheduling is anything to go by, this is going to be a night match. The outcome is anyway NID

For me last year is true that Sinner was the closest to take a set but overall Schwartzman match was the most difficult.
Diego can break Rafa many times same for Rafa even more, i expect many breaks from both of them this year aswell like last year.

Night match is what djokovic needs between these 2 then it can be a gruelling long match but a day match rafa might finish it off smoothly
