Nadal started to look really old this year, it's not surprising that his level dropped. I expect a free fall from here especially with the young gen starting to take it to the next level because I don't see what else Nadal could do to compensate for aging.

He is working with Babolat on a new signature racquet: 32 mm beam, 280g, RA 82, 33 cm balance
Plays even more powerful at low tension with a synthetic gut
That will be called Pure Aerocket
And geared towards seniors

Idk if you are trolling at all, but I noticed it in the Diego match 2 days ago. Nadal had to power up to get pass him. It worked against Diego, but there's only so much left in a 35 year old's tank.

I think Nadal hurt his wrist doing so, and thus too many of his shots today had little or no direction!

Nadal's left wrist is probably numb AF right now.

I don't believe he was symptomatic during the match today. He played better than he did most of the clay season and as good as he did in Rome. Novak just played better.

He needs to switch to the gamma big bubba 137, dammit! The extra 2 inches length and 37 inches headsize will make up for his slower footwork and any sexual inadequacies he may have. Works for me, anyways. I feel like an alpha rutting rhino swinging that thing around

Changing racquets hasn’t helped any player to beat Djokovic on a consistent basis, has it? Does Mr. Federer have any comments to the contrary? Nadal was steamrolling through the FO field including the first set today before he ran into an inspired, vintage Djokovic.

The level of play was awesome to watch today for any clay court lover. Both will win more Slams.

Mr Federer has no "comments to the contrary", because Mr Federer's problem was declining, not the racquet. You must be mistaking Mr Federer's problems with Mr Bull, for those with Mr Djoke.

No it wasn't!

The level of play was middling to mediocre with a few flashes of brilliance from either player. It was high drama and very physical, but that doesn't make it good.

And it's not just because my favorite player lost. Their 2018 Wimbledon semi was a brilliant match, even with the stupid closed roof on a bright sunny day thing.

Both laminar flow and turbidity are commonly used when referring to a liquid, but it really doesn't matter what the medium is. Both terms essentially refer to measures of 'smoothness' with turbidity being the inverse of the former.

Obviously when we're talking about tennis racquets and force, we are referring to them traveling through the air. So air resistance.

There may be specific terms that scientists and racquet manufacturers use, but that's what I'm referring to - measures of air resistance. The 'smoother' the racquet and its path through the air the lower the resistance.

I hope you realize that laminar flow is one of the least important things when it comes to the performance of tennis racquets...
And honestly, people were telling Nadal to change on 2015 and he tried, look how that turned out. He could maybe try again but honestly I think if anything the strings need a change and not the racquet.

It’s kind of a TT thing to discuss on Rafa’s racquet after he lost to an incredible Djokovic.
Of course he is still an amazing player, but a racquet cannot compensate for aging, unless the player is using something unsuitable. This not the case for an ATP player like Nadal, especially considering what he’s currently using.
A couple of years ago it was a bit different Federer switching to a 97. Now Federer will no switch to a 100 I guess.
Not saying it’s impossible that Nadal change a little something but for sure it would be minor and would not get him to win a match like yesterday all other things being equal.

Little things can make a huge difference overall.

However, Nadal is very stubborn.
