...at the beginning of the week. Brandon Nakashima jumped into the top 100 for the first time, joining Sinner, Musetti, and Alcaraz before turning 20 on the third (Sinner will be 20 on the 16th).

Wonder when the last time is the ATP had four teenagers in the top 100?

Maybe 2016? on 05/09/16 there were 4 teenagers(I checked random weeks over the last several years)

Coric(19)
Zverev (19)
Fritz (18)
Chung(19)

looks like the last time there were 5 teenagers was 2008(again, I'm just spot checking rankings every few months)

Wow, Fritz was in there at 18? He must've had some really high hopes for himself at that point. Same with Chung. Most people said Coric would be a lowish ceiling/high floor kind of guy, which is about what he is.

If I recall correctly Gasquet, Berdych, Nadal and Murray were all Top 50 at one point pre 20.

1984:
Wilander
Sundstrom
Cash
Edberg
Krickstein
Arias

All finished YE Top 20 being aged 20 or younger. But those at 20 (Arias, Wilander, Sundstrom) were inside the Top 20 prior to turning. Arias had actually reached his career high #5 months before his 20th and Wilander well inside Top 10.

To end 85, Wilander at 21 was #3, Edberg at 19 was #5 & Becker at 18 was #6.

No one showed the level of play that nadal had displayed.

ATP are making a big deal of teen Sinner's Citi win. Saying it's historic and what an achievement it is for someone his age.
Like tennis never happened before 2009.
