What word would you use to describe a takeback that is NOT compact?

Non compact doesn’t have to be huge. Almagro’s takeback for example is not compact but not WTA or anything like that.

Degrees of non-compact:

trans-coronal
ample, generous
full, significant, robust
substantial, large, lengthy
huge, humongous, jumbo
gargantuan, extreme
excessive

I think I might just stick with "noncompact" as the word describing NOT compact. As there is not a better candidate out there it seems!

Meh. Not very descriptive or satisfying. Why limit yourself? There is a yuuuge range in the non-compact category: supermini, subcompact, coupe, sedan, midsize, full-size, luxury, limo ...

Certainly you can find two or three words in my previous list that are much better than non-compact

Actually full-size may be good.

Not my favorite. I was actually referring to the adjectives in post #13, not the automobile classifications in #21. In my numerous texts on the subject I'll often use the terms: full, robust, large (loop), generous.

But the WTA or non-conpact forehands (& 2h backhands) can range from mild or conservative WTA to an extreme or excessive loop or backswing (like Sloane Stephens).

Like Raonic's take back. Don't know how to describe it though.
Is a non-compact take back always a bad thing? It seems to me that the more compact a take back gets, the more often it has a hitch or a pause in it.
Whereas somebody like Raonic, it's a long take back but the arm and racquet are moving constantly through it.
