Two big talents with big futures-
Musetti looking bright in early part of the year whilst tailing off backend of the year but still impressive wins over Wawrinka, Nishikori and co last year at rome then pushing Novak too 5 at RG this year (first two sets unreal).
Alcarez quieter start to year but looked superb at the us open, quarter final run and a first atp title to go with it in umag.
so is it just hype or are these two boys going far?
Musetti looks a solid shout for RG at some point and maybe slams that play a bit slower. Will have to learn how to develop on faster surfaces.
Alcarez- opposite- looks to thrive on super quick surfaces as shown at US, but also looks like he can grind. Could be a frightening prospect when he reaches physical peak.
prediction: Both multiple slam winners, and both win more than Jannick Sinner
