Any chance the 315 limited comes back???!!
Not a chance, I keep mine (6) well cared for... when using the RS315 and my arm hurts or my game suffers imprecision or color, I recover with my LTDs. Just did that this last 2 weeks.
A-awesome racket.
They say LTD is a copy of a famous Head pro reference frame (they go at $350+)... with improvements !!!

I have 6 and they are my go to frames! Such sweet hitting frames, shame if they don’t bring em back

It’s mostly white with black grommets. The French flag is incorporated into the TF40 naming. In terms of looks i prefer the older one. The racquet i choose to playtest is 16x19 / 305gr/ 32,5BL and strung with ice code 1.25 / 22kg. The new tech is called RSSharpsecrion.

I don’t have any other info and i can show you only the small pic below. It’s very Blade like feel swinging through the air which i like as a Blader myself. We shall see in the afternoon how it plays.

Looks a lot like pure strike. Not a fan of the paintjob but performance is most important. Waiting for your review as I like tecnifibre frames a lot. A bit like a cross between Head and Wilson frames? Some sticks incorporate ideas from Babolat which overall brings it somehow towards Yonex frames as well in terms of response? Hard to describe but they are very „in the middle” between all those brands which i find quite Cool and very refreshing to try.

how open is the string pattern on that 16M? is it as open as the 300RS or the TF315 16M?

Had a short hit with the RS 300. Ball was okay but didn't love the feel. Felt pretty firm but not corresponding power to the firmness. Could have been the demo poly maybe.

Hopefully the new RS Sharpsection gives the FT40 head and shaft geometry de right flex and the easy aero of the RS line, but it could be even better with less drag...closer to LTD.

Looking forward to test this new gem.

To me RS was a step backwards to XTC….TF40 2022 is a step forward. The retailer made a mistake and send me a grip 2…. as a result i didn’t have stability on serves and this was my only knock with this stick….couldn’t gel with it.

So my brief review: next week i am waiting my 2 yonex demos ( vcore95 and vcp310 both 2021 versions)…. Yonex sticks are a total disappointment after DR/DuelG/SV98 lines….. if those sticks will continue that trend then i am totally going to purchase new TF40 16x19 305!

Those who loved TF40s feel prepare to be disappointed. The ultra soft pillowy feel is gone. New model reminds me more of XTCs feel…. it’s still plush on contact (less crisp than RS/XTC) but the ball doesn’t lag on the string so much. At last TF40 16x19 has free power…. you don’t have always to step in the court, to full swing the ball…. that also helps on defensive shots. Don’t know SW but i was able to generate more power than the heafty RS 305.

What impressed me more with this stick was the one hand backhand. I try to remember which other racquet gave me such a fluidity on my 1HB…. felt even more natural than Pro staffs / v core pros. My wrist was snapping on auto pilot. I could attack and place my shots whenever I wanted to….I haven’t done more down the line backhands with any other stick…..it was provoking me to keep using my backhand instead of the easy inside out forehand.

Sth has changed in the shape of the racquet. Long thin throat and the head is more of a tear drop…. reminded me of Volkl V1 pro. Second thing that impressed me was flat shots. Coupled with ice code I had so much of control. I was stepping inside the court or taking returns with ease and ripping flat shots. Everything was going in. For me it was more easy to flatten a low ball with margin rather than lift a low ball with pure spin….. beware that the sweet spot is smaller….. so it won’t be easy to lift low balls without good preparation or place them without always looking to make good contact. But on high balls contact comes with ease and flat shots finishers even easier. You really don’t need to try 18x20….if contact is good you will paint lines with free power sth last gen lacked.

Also i want to remind everyone how of a great string and underdog ice code is. I hear lots of people that are trying to found a cheaper 4G. Ice code is the only string that plays close to it with a little bit lower price….. and if you can found a tecnifibre retailer price can come even lower at Hyper Gs price tag.

I am sweating my pants with joy the next time I ll try this gem with 1.20 Hyper G and add extra sweetness to it. It’s too bad that the looks of it are worse than previous model which was pure class….

Am intrigued by the shape also, ..."Sth has changed in the shape of the racquet. Long thin throat and the head is more of a tear drop"... Hope is not as extreme es the Volkl teardrop.
How is the overall flex ? are you allowed to tell ? Thanks.

The retailer has only the demos not the official specs. I demoed previous TF40 18x20 305 also with ice code so i am convinced that this 16x19 version has more free power.

Finally, I would like to join this Tecnfibire Official Thread.

I had been using Tecnifibre 3145 Ltd. both in 16x19 as well as 18x20 string patterns for a couple of years before going into the pro stock era.

Bought 2x Tecnfibre Tf40 (305) most recently and I am testing them right now along with some new and old rackets in 7Frames.Test.

But I can tell this right now – that this is a frame that has one of the best feel/touch since at least YouTek Innegra era.
Wilson v7 is a bit more comfortable but has worse feedback and much worse stability. Both Gravity Pro and new G360+ Radicals
are much worse frames. IG Radical MP has a similar feel but is less powerful and less polarized – which is something that HEAD
added to all of their modern frames since Graphene. Well done Tecnifibre!

I have some question about Tf40 – so I will get back here in a few days or so.

Broke out one of my TF40 305s last night, strung with gut/poly and have no idea why I stopped using this frame. Such a great blend of power and control, and the feel with gut in the mains is so addictive. Huge serves and forehands and for whatever reason my 2HBH shines with this racquet.

The TWE sale is tempting, there's also one in the classifieds but I already have 3 matched frames so may wait and see what the update brings.

Just going back over some of DJTaurus' posts and have to day doesn't sound good for me regarding the new TF40s. New shape (love the current shape), less/different feel (one of my favourite aspects), more power (has the perfect amount of power for me in it's current form), smaller sweet spot.

Seems like an odd decision - if you want more power and less feel why not just get a T Fight? :(

I'm thinking the same thing. Using the name "TF40" to sell what sounds like a completely different frame is...well, it's what brands typically tend to do in the 21st century. And I don't understand it. Everything was spot on with the original. The only common criticism was that many people wanted a 16x19 (or 16x20) version. I don't know why Tecnifibre didn't just launch that? Why mess with perfection?!

According to DJTaurus the new is something in between and new patterns added.
My question and intrigue is: Why they didn't bring the 16x19 or the 18x19 to the original TF40 ? Go figure.
It was asked several times.
One note: I do not feel that TF40 sweetspot is small at all... and agree the head has more power/boost readily available... with very sweet control and feel.

Had a few weeks ago 3 pieces TF 305RS to match with me.
This racquet (paint) plays Medvedev.
However, this racquet requires some skill, this is not an all-rounder for the masses.
Anyway, I got the racquets for adjustment - my address was given to the customer - so had no contact before.
After weighing it out, it was clear to me that one of the racquets was an extreme outlier upwards.

If I align the other two to this "scoop", the customer will shower me with animal names.
That led to a phone call.
Then I heard that years ago he was No.1 in his age group and also a contract player.
May now after training and profession in about just under 30 years young and again play more intensive tennis - has an ITN of just under 2 - so he can already play some tennis.

Having never heard of the possibility of lowering the SW, he first wanted the heavy version. So a SW of 340 strung did not scare him off.
Could convince him, however, that he (the other two racquets were similar at 298 SW) if too light, can always bring the adjusted racquets to his desired data.
The frames were all unstrung, so you could remove the grommet strap at the head and then reattach it without any problems.
A reduction from the swing weight I have had to use several times, because usually one or two racquets do not fit in the series.

Anyway - as some may not know, the racquet painting at the manufacturers is mostly still handwork. It can happen that too much primer is applied, so that this deviation can occur.
My outlier had extremely much primer.

With some skill and sharp tools, I was able to get a good 9 SW points off the paint without hurting the carbon fibers. Had to remove primer/paint on a lot of area to get to the SW data of the other two.
Anyway, I succeeded (once again). I took some photos, which you can see in the collage.

I hope to have given you the idea how to reduce the SW.
A MASTER PIECE from a Master !!!! Excellent thinking and work.
Hope your customer/s value this level of care: from technical to interpreting the SW physics vs player.
Thanks Fritz !!!

Could you elaborate on the process for removing the paint?
What to be careful with to not destroy the frame etc.
I have some overspecd racquets that could use this treatment.

Just bought two extra Tf40 after these posts. Hoped for 16x19 - but with the same mold and layup.

Looking forward to trying the new racquets but this summarises my thoughts pretty well. It was a great formula, just wanted 315 in 16/19. I'll be happy to be proved wrong though, will definitely give them a shot. Maybe they will surprise us!

I recently picked up my first 300 RS and loving it. Compared to my Blade v8, I'm just able to stay in the points longer and get more free points. I had two questions on string set-up adding weight.

Strings: what strings/hybrid people have found to work well? So far I've tried Yonex Poly Tour Pro 17g which has been great from the baseline but less for around the net. I'm a little concerned about the comfort and curious if anyone has tried gut or multi mains? I have some NRG2 which I will try at some point.

Add weight: so far the racquet has played well in stock form but I'm just experimenting. Again curious if people have added weight to bring up the SW/plow and any set-ups they found to have worked well?

So do we know when the new Tf40 (or whatever they will be called) will be released (this year or 2022)?
Is it the same mold and layup as in Tf40 or it is simply a completely new frame?

I increased the SW to my preference ~320-325kgcm^2 with small amounts at the top. I tried several combos of hybrids Poly/multi and Gut/softpoly and found good results for my setups. It all depends on your game and playing style. Try and evaluate objectively.
Bottom line: a very powerful racket everywhere. Literally.

So not anemic in any way? It's a light racket which is I'm after but typically they start to lack any pwr...
Definitely not anemic, but not close to Pure Drive power. I found the 300 RS to be much more controlled than the 315 RS. I love how whippy the 300 is on my FH side. Thinking about adding a little bit of weight to help plow on the BH....

I am currently using a RS300 grip size 4 3/8 w/ an overgrip and it definitely feels a little too small/twisting in hand on occasional mishits. Have you guys noticed that tf grips run small compared to other brands? For anyone using 4 1/2 in a tfight would that be more similar to a babolat 4 3/8, im worried it will be too big for me, thanks.

Babolats run big so a 4.5 grip is really big.

The TF is more like the old Head shape. more rectangular than square, and thus can feel a bit thin or narrow.

Tried two overgrips ala Fedr????

The TFight 300rs and a Speed 360 MP (previous to the current version) have almost idential power potential maps.

With the TFight just a fraction above the Speed in almost every measuerd spot on the racquet face, it sounds like a wonderful racquet with just the right amount of power.

The 100 sq in racquet facwe of the Speed MP means I can lose the ball in there sometimes and it feels ungainly on 1HBH.

It's weird but then swingweight weighs into the equation, so there are a few factors at play in finding a racquet.

I like the 360 Speed MP better than the 360+ because the latter bumped up the swingweight too much.

Have tried all sort of counterwighting

Like the look of the tfight 300rs

Don't. I still have my 300RS (buyer pulled out on me) and have been using it for fun since then, and have found that it's really good...as long as it's stock. Takes weight worse than any racket I've had; doesn't matter whether it's at 3/9, 10/2, 12, in the handle, throat, or elsewhere. It has an unprecedented combo of maneuverability & stability/plow but its wt. distribution feels awkward as soon as you add wt.
