Still two male slots left to be filled, so far they've got Rafa, Domi, Ruud and Shapo
Our female players taking part are US Open Winner Emma Raducanu and Olympic Gold Medallist Belinda Bencic, with the Champions set for an unmissable match on day one of MWTC! Joining them will be 5-time Champion Rafa Nadal, Grand Slam Winner, Dominic Thiem, Wimbledon Semi-Finalist, Denis Shapovalov, and the winner of the most ATP Titles in 2021 and World No. 8, Casper Ruud, with two more male stars are to follow!

Abu Dhabi seems to always provide fun, intense matches, have fun clayqueen!!

What will you do with this information?
There's been quite a fuss around prize money distribution recently, and if it turns out tournament payouts are being increasingly diverted into appearance fees rather than prize money, that would further increase the inequality between stars and mid tier pros.

The lower ranked players should be given more money, but that money shouldn't be taken from the popular players who drive interest and revenue.

That's a pretty naive look IMO. To begin with, the star players already have other sources of income, without having to leech off the tournament budgets.

Exhos such as Mubadala can do whatever they want, but ITF/ATP events shouldn't be "anything goes" regarding appearance fees IMO.

They should be public and there should be a cap on them IMO.

No. It's a free market and the top stars should make as much as they possibly can. If the organizers want to offer what the stars demand, nothing should stop it. And that arrangement has nothing to do with the floor prize money being raised for lower ranked players.

Mubadala is over the moon. Whilst we were on the phone, my daughter yelled, news flash “5 time Mubadala World Tennis Championship Winner Rafael Nadal returns to AbuDhabi”. Rafa is so popular there, as everywhere.

They don’t get appearance fees for slams and mandatory tournaments. Although the Big 3 don’t have to play mandatory tournaments anymore because of their age and number of matches won in their career - I think it’s minimum of 600 matches.

Dubai went on record about 8 years ago saying it was 2 million dollars each for Rafa and Roger. It's generally accepted both of them pocket 1.5-2 million in appearance fees at all events outside of slams. Why not, they're worth it.
