This is kinda odd. I was asked by a teammate that mods sticks if I could get some Prince Hydrogen butt caps. I sorta wanted some too after I gave it some thought. Yeah, I expected it to be like a $15 butt cap.
What I didn't expect was TWE and TW don't have any for sale. Ah well.

Not too surprised. Kind of like when you buy a limited edition racket and then you can't get matching replacement grommets.

Completely agree. Really in love with this frame. Would love to see what a cosmetic upgrade would be, but totally satisfied as-is. Not wishing for something "better".

Yeah its true that the paint job is nothing flashy, but comimg from the rubbery feel of the blade i like the touch of it

I love the black and green with gold accents on the Tours, seems many don’t though

Actually went to buy another TT310 today but it’s sold out apart from grip 2 on Tennis Only—again!

Just a great racquet. It’s nice to land on something that just fits me after dabbling with low powered dense patterned control frames for so long

Not until February? Wow. It says they will have them in stock in 4 3/8 by Nov 25th, what a shame I really wanted to buy this racket from TW spec matching service. What is Prince’s Quality control like I might have to settle on picking a TT100 up from **** or forums….

princes quality control is good enough for me but probably not good enough for the “Princess and the Pea” types.

I think they may have some Hydrogen versions in stock? I picked up a Hydrogen txt 100 290. I did it just to see how it would look in person since it was on sale. They are a bit too busy for me, to be honest. I much prefer the stock paint on most princes. They have always done a great job with their styling.

Really considering picking up a textreme tour 100, just a little worried about the power levels. Has anyone experienced that the launch angle or power levels were too high at times?

I don't wanna take too much of a tangent here but this is a surprise to me lol.. It's supposed to be way more powerful... What's the difference if not?

The 63 RA Angell has different material layout than the 70 RA one, and has higher swing weight for the same weight and balance. The perceivable difference is mainly the feel rather than power level.

That's not been the case for me. I've been using the TT 100 310 quite awhile now and it's good enough for me that I've no desire to starting hunting for a different racquet. Just a great all around racquet for me.

Same here - Controlled launch angle, and yet loads of spin. On all versions they are rather forgiving at their RA, but the 03's especially so. They are great sticks.

Yeah the 310 is predictable and reliable for me.

Easy depth and spin but I don’t feel like random bad shots happen where i did the right things but for some reason the ball launched on me. It’s always just that I played a bad shot, was a bit late etc.

The string spacing on this frame is pretty uniform so it makes sense to me that the response of the racquet mirrors that.

I've found I play more consistently with this racquet than with a pure ‘control’ frame. But if you’re used to using something at that end of the scale, there will be an adjustment because the 310 does give you that easy lift and spin.

That was my worry with buying the Hydrogen Chrome. When the time comes, the only option is Beast 100 black grommets, which ruins the cosmetic. It was a good excuse to buy another when they were on sale since I like the racquet so much.

With O3 Tour 100, yes.

What string did you use? I find with pre-stretched 120 TB in the mains and 115 Cyclone in the crosses that it has less power than my ripstick, and a mild launch angle. But when I need to swing out, it can give me a little oomph. I am not a flat hitter, tho.

Hi y’all . I finally managed to get the Prince 03 tattoo 310 g! It’s like early Xmas lol. Can’t wait to try it and pics are below. First impressions it’s much more maneuverable than the standard 310 tour and swing easier. Mine came in slightly above specs at 11.7 strung with a 16g poly. I happen to notice the more dense string bed in the middle whereas the standard is more venous spaced. I was curious to see how the density came out in a different pattern since it’s a 16x19 compared to the 16x18

Nice - for me the O3 Tour is a little better than the standard beam in pretty much every way, but the stand out is how much more comfortable it is. The ports make a huge difference.

Yea I agree, I know the 03 is not for everyone but I think Prince got it so right by combining a thin beam control type racket with ports and increased stiffness which was my on gripe with the older tours

@ccmtennis or others, can anyone compare the Tour/Tattoo O3 100 310 to the Phantom 100X 305 16x18? The Tattoo is so dang ugly I kinda like it
I played with the O3 Tour 100 and now with the 100X 305.
I love the O3 but I was lacking precision. Also it was a little bit too powerful. O3 frames are a little bit erratic at times... But the feel is fantastic. Spin is also awesome. Thanks to the ports that give you maximum head speed and unbeatable string snapback.
But with the 100X I have really better control, especially directional control, and precision. It is also more stable. The comfort is higher too. But it is a REALLY low powered frame! You have to find the good string and tension. After some tests, I found great result with the Focus Hex Plus 25 1.25 at 23kg. Really nice string, especially during the winter.
With the 100X, I think that you have to find a soft spinny poly and adjust the tension to your taste.
With the MSV, I get great spin, good control for a "soft" string, easy power (with low powered frame) and most important for me now : exceptional comfort and feel! Durability and playability duration are not the best but I can get 8/10 hours of good play before it break or I cut it. That's OK for me.
My arm is so happy with that delicious setup!

Thanks for the feedback. Main reason I'd check out the O3 Tour is for increased power, but I can't seem to get away from the Phantom 100X for all the reasons you mentioned.

I run TB 120 crossed with Volkl Cyclone 115 on my 290 03 tour. The dead strings are thin enough I don't lose too much power, but they retain a lot of control and spin.

lol ... it's in the eye of the beholder... maybe it's better with an overgrip.

You have to feel it in your hands though. Its really high quality stuff, matted but with still a slight texture to it which is you know it a premium paint job

Was it the 16x18 version or 18x20? Either way the Textreme 03 310 tour is entirely a completely different frame, totally different category. This is combo of feel with increase stiffness but it is also off set by the denser pattern compared to the Txt 310 tour in the US and a thinner beam (20mmvs22mm) . The txt is also a much more crisp feeling without being harsh which is a fine line. Hitting with my older 03 tour white the feel and plush comparison is night and day

I have own both so I can speak to it . Just curious have you tried the Beast textreme 98 either the regular or ported version? It's the best comparison IMHO. I found the phantom 100x 305 plush, amazing feel but even when weighted up where I added 3g of lead at 12' it just did have the extra pop I need on the serve and returns you will get pushed around a bit at a higher level. Mine you, I am most a dubs player (4.5 level) so I rarely plays singles but can see what a great touch shot stick the 100x would be. I think prince nailed the PL here. The 305 x is at 750 while the Txt 310 is at 825 and the txt 03 310 is slightly higher at 875. My trusty older TXT 03 Beast 98 which I maintain is still one the best and under appreciated tweener in the market sits at 925. Like I was trying to explain the other post , the ports make up more power despite a thinner beam but they added a denser string pattern 16x19 to the 16x18. Frankly I have yet to see this much thought into 2 similar rackets in the same lines in any other racket manufacturer

Never tried any of the Beasts because of the 69 RA which is higher than I normally like. I probably should have when TW was closing them out at like $60 or something ridiculously cheap like that.

Any idea when the next Phantom update might be? Love the Phantom X 305 but it's a bit too noodle-like. Would love for the next update to stiffen up a bit.
