Cilic is wearing all head and so is Krejickova on the WTA side. Why don't head/wilson have more footwear/apparel sponsors? Are there any men's singles players who wears their clothes or shoes in the top 150?
Good point, fixed, thank youShould add that you're referring to the men's Top 10
3 of 5 (ATP) use pro-stock versions of a Graphene HEAD racquet. Two use a current model. So much for the idea that Graphene racquets are somehow substandard. Go HEAD!We wrap up 2021 ATP with FIVE players using Head rackets (Djokovic, Zverev, Rublev, Berettini, Sinner)
Rest: Yonex (2), Babolat (1), TF (1), Wilson (1)
Overall, ATP and WTA #1 for 2021 hold Head rackets!

Having spent some time at the HQ, I’d say Head is more of a moms and pap’s shop rather than true corporate environment. Everyone absolutely loves what they do, everyone’s voice is heard (therefore a lot of our inputs are incorporated into 360+ and Auxetic lines), and everyone is super nice and approachable.Hail corporate!

I am glad they kept it as a private company vs shareholder public machine. That said, Marketing side is constantly improving - something very important in todays world.
I am also glad they have kept full manufacturing facilities (tennis and other sports) in Kennelbach
hey
I also wanna work for some tennis brands
did you had some particular kind of research??
Correct, not employed or paid by Head but a member of Team Head (think of it I have my own little black sticker haha)I don't think he's an employee.

No one, they use pro-stock versions. TGT and TGK differences have been discussed, debated and beaten to death on TTW.Which one’s use off-the-shelf retail?
What is the point of your question??Which one’s use off-the-shelf retail?
Let’s think why you haven’t listed WTA Finals players brand list…. Ups, we know why. Because it is nothing hyping Head.We wrap up 2021 ATP with FIVE players using Head rackets (Djokovic, Zverev, Rublev, Berettini, Sinner)

What pro exactly is using off the shelf stick, uncustomized?
Your appetite for being contrary got you so excited you evidently didn’t read my post through and realise that it’s in the context of Graphene racquets. The other two use pro-stock versions of… ah why do I even bother. You just want to stir, so do as you please. He stated “3 of 5 (ATP) use pro-stock versions of a Graphene HEAD racquet. If 3 out of 5 use pro-stocks, which two use off-the-shelf retail sticks (customized or in-customized)? Im just asking a question.
Krejcikova in singles and she won the doubles. 50% of the doubles final were Head players, Mertens and Krejcikova. Was it the same representation as the ATP finals, no, but the brand was represented.Let’s think why you haven’t listed WTA Finals players brand list…. Ups, we know why. I have nothing against Head. They have been very pro-active with new models and have excellent pro stocks. The 360+ tech works (at masking the Graphene feel). Sinner and probably Rublev use current retail based frames. But the top two use non-graphene, and I would bet there’s a lot more who do.Your appetite for being contrary got you so excited you evidently didn’t read my post through and realise that it’s in the context of Graphene racquets. Lol, Krejokiva is obviously using a 360 Extreme, but I would say for almost certain that Mertens is not using a retail Graphene 360 Speed MP.Krejcikova in singles and she won the doubles. 50% of the doubles final were Head players, Mertens and Krejcikova. For the love of God !!! In my post did I mention anything about the particular models they were using, go back and actually read it. I was merely saying they were the brand representatives.
but still racket can't serveWe wrap up 2021 ATP with FIVE players using Head rackets (Djokovic, Zverev, Rublev, Berettini, Sinner)

Another stellar post! I guess that’s why Zverev hit a second serve ace on match point. It’s not the racquet but the player/server. Lots of great servers play with HEADbut still racket can't serve
Krejickova, Barty, Teichmann all using pro stock versions of the retail sticks with Barry using 16x19 drill of Gravity Pro. Mertens is using the PT339.2Lol, Krejokiva is obviously using a 360 Extreme, but I would say for almost certain that Mertens is not using a retail Graphene 360 Speed MP.
We know that you know all these codes and stuff. Basically what you said was they are all using pro stocks, and that’s okay.Krejickova, Barty, Teichmann all using pro stock versions of the retail sticks with Barry using 16x19 drill of Gravity Pro. Mertens is using the PT339.2
Krejickova TGT285, previous version of extreme. Teichmann TGT339.2, same as off the shelf Speed MP
As I explained many times, the pro stock (TGT) is just an off the shelf retail stick without commercial weights to allow for easy Pro player customization. We know that you know all these codes and stuff. Basically what you said was they are all using pro stocks, and that’s okay.
Is my original question really worth all this? I guess if we don’t get on the “Head is the greatest racquet in the world” bandwagon, then we’re just haters, or just ignorant.
As was this thread. As I explained many times, the pro stock (TGT) is just an off the shelf retail stick without commercial weights to allow for easy Pro player customization.
Almost no pro player plays with generalized retail racket spec so…yeah, your question was pointless…
Another stellar post! I guess that’s why Zverev hit a second serve ace on match point. It’s not the racquet but the player/server. List of great servers play with HEAD
Lol what are you talking about? Everyone in this thread knows that serving is not about your physical make-up. It’s all about the racquet. The player is just there so to ensure that the serve is actually legal. Racquet does all the work. That’s common knowledge…. Go team HEAD!He's a giant. Serving is physically way easier for people like him.
Yes I didn't say Head wasn't represented just had 1 racquet in WTA singles, but if OP was objective he would also put WTA Finals racquet summary but it was skipped because it was not as great looking for Head as ATP.............Krejcikova in singles and she won the doubles. 50% of the doubles final were Head players, Mertens and Krejcikova. Was it the same representation as the ATP finals, no, but the brand was represented.
I know he doesn't. Just what I expect is objective information and not showing only good side of one company and skipping all other information which is showing worse side or good side of other companies.Lol @ the usual suspects here thinking they work at the racket company just because they have some facts, and know people who actually work there.
sorry Doc, you may have already said this before, but can i check what does it mean to be a member of Team Head and how did you get involved/what do you do tom participate within the team etc... cos you are able to get all the juicy stuff, which is pretty awesome for the community . thanksyou can go cry to your mommy instead of posting your little jealous whining comments here (over and over).
I never said I worked for Head but am a member of Team Head which is a great honor and privilege to know all those great people and talk to them daily...
How is that "objective" when Novak won 3 out of 4 slams and 27out of 28 slam matches in 2021. When Novak is ahead by almost 3000 points at the end of 2021 being 10 years older than Medvedev.I know he doesn't. Just what I expect is objective information and not showing only good side of one company and skipping all other information which is showing worse side or good side of other companies.
An objective information for example is "Medvedev using Tecnifibre racquet defeated Djokovic in US Open Final" but instead we see thread like "Head was 50% of the racquets in the US Open final" "Head has ATP no 1 and won won 3 other Slams". Of course, this is great for Head to have top players in ATP but why skip all WTA Finals part only because it is not looking that great for Head...
Being a part of Team Head means you communicate with various teams and exchange information. I have been passing most of information both ways. When you guys ask about something, I usually get the info and share (unless too much to share). But I also pass this board's requests back to Head about future products and 360+ and Auxetic is an obvious outcome of Team Head collaboration.sorry Doc, you may have already said this before, but can i check what does it mean to be a member of Team Head and how did you get involved/what do you do tom participate within the team etc... cos you are able to get all the juicy stuff, which is pretty awesome for the community . thanks

I was also fortunate to spend 3-4 days with those wonderful people at the HQ, test some super interesting rackets and strings, use the next gen stringer, see the 2023 PJs, make a PT57A from scratch, play tennis against former ATP players and then watch them continue playing padel into the evening hours. Amazing place with amazing people!
360+ Prestige MP/Auxetic Prestige Pro has that classic feel. I’ve had former top 10 And top 200-300 Try and were impressed. This may not be possible, but do you think Head can get to the point where their close to classic feeling new frames - lets say Radical, have that soft, super solid, no vibration feeling even out of the sweet spot without losing all the modern power they have in them?
I think the new Radical MP was a great return to it's classic and feel in the sweet spot, but when I use a frame like the Dunlop CX its a lot more comfortable and I feel the difference (no vibrations outside the sweet spot).
This is probably not attainable yet, but I thought I'd ask. I tried the last Prestige Mid and it also had a really nice sweet spot, but coming from my Blade v7, just didn't have nearly the same comfort as my Austrian Radical or PT280. Not bashing the frames or anything, just curious how great they can get the feel to the classics.

However, it is not realistic to expect the PT layup in new retail frames. The cost of materials is just too high to retail it and IP is prohibitive to do it in China.

So the cost of materials in the new retail Heads is cheaper than in the PT layup?360+ Prestige MP/Auxetic Prestige Pro has that classic feel. I’ve had former top 10 And top 200-300 Try and were impressed.

Yes, PT layups and especially labor are more expensive. So the cost of materials in the new retail Heads is cheaper than in the PT layup?
