Novak Djokovic appears free to defend his Roland Garros title after France relaxed its rules surrounding Covid vaccine passports.
The world No. 2 was caught up in a protracted saga surrounding his vaccination status at the Australian Open – a high-profile case that ended with him being deported on the eve of the tournament.

Finally, the Djokovic saga is about to end and what better way for the guy to "stand up for himself" on the court instead of spouting every nonsense.

Hold your horses everyone … the problem was never Nole getting into the country.

There is still a vaccination requirement to enter Roland Garros the facility under French law. This could be lifted but given Macron’s comments about pissing off the unvaccinated, it’s not a done deal…

Wow, like clockwork StrongRule just appears to complain about Djokovic at the French Open…
I'm sure you are the first person who call AO 2022 the asterisk open, but totally ignore the fact that RG is not anything close to what it used to be before. The conditions during night sessions are worse than 80% of the hardcourts, and it was obvious that they were added in order to help Djokovic dominate there.

Makes sense.
What is the temperature in Paris when the matches are played in a night session?
How does it affect the bounce of the ball when played under those atypical conditions on a clay court?

It is not the Triple Career Grand Slam but the Triple Surface Slam.

???

If Novak wins another Roland Garros Title, he would have won each of the four Major Singles Titles at least three times in his career. That is a Triple Career Grand Slam in Singles. He would be the first male player in the history of the sport to achieve it.

However, if Rafa wins another Roland Garros with Novak in the Draw, that would possibly elevate Rafa to an even higher level in many people's eyes - especially those who place the Major Titles count above everything else.

I replied to NachoMan that it will be Nadal who gets the Triple Surface Slam if he wins Wimbledon this season.
I am aware that Djokovic is only missing another RG title to get the TCGS while
Nadal is missing another Wimbledon and AO title to get that.

You seem like a nice guy, don’t give into the whole Djokovic Open thing.

This is who we’re talking about here:
Djokovic's serve right now is better than Isner's.

But come on, isn't it true that Djokovic wouldn't have liked to face Nadal in last year's RG final in sunny conditions like his matchup against Tsitsipas turned out to be?

I definitely think the night conditions helped Djokovic, but also consider that all of that was also true in RG 2020 and Nadal still won in straights. And yes, even back then, StrongRule was basically spamming match threads with the whole Djokovic Open meme stuff.

I just don't want clay season match threads ruined by a guy talking about how Nadal has no chance about 50x per thread. Which is, no exaggeration, this poster's contribution to the forum.

You Nadal fans always have an excuse for whenever he loses at RG! Why can't any of you except that he can lose fair and square? It's all so mindnumbingly tedious.
