Has anyone tried BHS7T 1.30mm in a full bed on a PAVS? Currently, I play with Signum Hextreme 1.30mm in mains and Max Power 1.25mm in crosses. I would like a bit more power.

I have 2 Pavs, that I bought in pair with the matching pack just upon release of the model without even testing them, added 1 gram of lead in total split at 10, 12, and 2. The total weight of the racquets with overgrip, and RPM blast at 1.25 came at 334 grams and 333 grams respectively, and did not weigh the frames unstrung at the time, but looking at the new one both were probably 310 or more. Now I've got a 3rd racquet and measured it unstrung, it weighed 305gr exactly. Added the gram in the head, put the overgrip and strings, and came at 326grm, that´s an entire +7 gram difference, same balance for the 3 racquets though, I have added 4 grams of lead to the new one at the inner V throat and now is 329gr, will the added the weight alter the swingweight much? Could not measure the SW but the new one seems to be almost balanced as the other 2.

Wow what a post! Really great insights, thank you
Both grips that are too big and too small cause elbow injuries according to the American Journal of Sports Medicine. The smallest that is correct would be better due to the increase range of motion of the wrist. Hold a golf ball in you palm and rotate your wrist versus a tennis ball doing the same thing.

Have you tried 55 pounds for mains and 51 pounds for the cross? Use 16g for both.

I use RPM Blast 16 gauge. If i were you i would try the Signum 1.30 in the mains and cross at 55/51 before spending money. i think the tension will give you the extra pop
I do have a reel of bhs7t. Have you played Hextreme and Bhs7t? Which did you prefer?

Currently have BHS7T 1.30mm on mains at 55 and BHS7T 1.30mm on crosses at 52. It is a nice setup. I am still amazed by the stability of this racquet. It weighs 315g (since I took off the stock grip and put on a Wilson Featherthin grip). Still pretty solid.

Following on my post above, adding the lead at the inner v throat (4 grams), made the racquet more difficult to handle and gave me some wrist discomfort, has anyone added lead at 12 only, like 4 grams? How was the racquet feeling?

I had the same issues with my 3 dr98s, all 3 had different weights, had to sell them unfortunately.

Hope I can fix it and not have to sell them, I left them on the stringer he usually customize racquets for ATP pros so I hope he can fix them. I will get them today

Currently my PAVS has a Wilson Featherthin grip with an overgrip. 3g of lead wrapped around the handle. 1.30mm BHS7T on the mains and crosses at 54lbs. Hits good. Feel like I need a little more oomph but maybe I can lower the tension. How is this for a setup? It is pretty light - that is my concern?

I want to do it to add better feel and headlightedness. How much did you add?
2 grams of silicone and 4grm of lead in the head at 10 and 2, feels great. I matched the 3 of them as the first 2 I bought when they released on the match pack came at 310gr unstrung and the new one at 304.

I have never added silicone before - how do you add 2g? Just keep weighing the racquet as you inject it? Also stock grip?

No clue :), I left the racquets to the stringer he customized them. They are all 310gr unstrung , 330gr strung with rpm blast 1.25 with babolat overgrip, swingweight varies from 320, 323 and 330, balance 32.6, 32.4 and 32.3.

Were they supposed to be matched, or?
That last swingweight value is a bit of a leap.

yes, also balance, is not too far off, but yes, the SW is a bit of a letdown although I don't really notice much or no difference once I am playing, to be honest

Just put 10g silicon ear plugs in the handle and 6g at 10 n 2 total. Gonna try it out in a few.

Seriously, since a few weeks, I play my PAVS stock with a leather grip being the only mod and found it to be plenty stable. BTW, I’m a heavy racquet kind of guy. This shows how well Babolat has engineered and designed this masterpiece! Now a GS title added to its credit!

It seems like Alcaraz is playing a racket (before and current) without the Cortex "dimples". What are your thoughts?

I got hold of Carlos’s actual racquet! Well, one of the juniors I help train went to Cincy open and got it from him. Carlos was practicing serves and it slipped out of his hand and it cracked the frame so he gave it to him. I got to see it and measure the specs. Pretty cool! New paintjob looks pretty cool

Has Carlos added any weight under the head guard and silicone? I know the balance is about 32 cm - not sure if it’s stock or weight to the handle and hoop.

he has had issues with tennis elbow. There’s photos of him even before he got big with his elbow covered in sleeves and wraps. Hopefully he doesn’t have issues in the future.
