Anyone going to the US Open on Wednesday?

i have tickets for the AA stadium... i am way up there, nose bleed seats!!! but, hey i'm still going!
you'll have fun. I just went today, actually yesterday, (Tuesday) and it was phenomenal. I didn't go in AA, but just the outside courts were amazing, AMAZING. You get great quality matches on the outside courts too, in case you get sick of watching from AA. But I've watched federer from nose bleed seats too, you still see whats going on though.
If your looking for good food, bring lots of Cash. If you've been to europe, paris especially, you'll know crepes are about 2 euros. Here they're 8.50$ to begin with. Chicken sandwiches and hamburgers are close to 10$ and drinks as big as they are are expensive as well. Everything is greatly overpriced.
If you're looking for autographs, don't even go inside AA. Today I got:
1. Nick Bolleteri-just wandering the grounds below-very nice guy
2. Ivan Ljubicic-played on a small court, really tall, seemed snobby (no offense to him)
3. Danai Umdochoke-great guy, impeccable backhand
4. Michael ?, the guy that lost to chela today
5. Federer- I WISH. I waited (with 50 or so others) outside the practice courts where (today) fed, nadal, bhupathi, and later schnyder were all practicing. Nadal signed like 2 things. FEDERER walked all around, signed lots, I stood about 2 inches from him, holding out my ball, and he signed everything around it but mine.
not cool.
more advice: buy that polo ball, the white one thats over sized. Good for autographs, smaller than the jumbo, better imo.
Have fun, might see you there but probably not since my parents said one day this week is good enough :sad:

At first you thought it wasn't her. You saying you missed her and didn't realize it until now or something?
lol, I saw sharapova in the distance. Everyone was yelling her name when she got out of a car and walked straight into the building, so I thought she wasn't coming back out.
I guess when federer was literally 2 inches in front of me almost signing my ball, yeah I didn't quite see who was off in the distance walking onto the courts
glad you had fun. Man those seats in Ashe look amazing, are those box seats?? wow, you must have connections. Great pics too. get any autographs?

no autographs... almost Michael Chang, walked right by him, but got a pic. we also sat next to a female pro, but i could not make out who it was.
Connections... nope, just luck. My friend and I ran out of AA to get a burger and "beverage" and were standing in front of the fountain... a family walked up to us and asked if we could use some tickets... the tix we had were nose-bleed upper prom seats... they gave us 4 box seats (face value $250 a pop)!!! Man, we were stoked... we dropped our food and darted to our seats. We felt like royalty!
That's crazy. I wish there were more people like that, especially when I'm around there! that's really good luck, i'm sure if it was you standing right in front of Roger in that crowd you would've gotten his autograph.
Anyway, I'll be looking out for some people that like to give away tickets on monday, finally gonna go again. Hopefully there'll be some good matches, comparable to that udomchoke-odenisk (?) match.
