I'm proud of you Shcmad. We grouped up again (I had to "el jefe" Shcmad to come back out), and we took Patty and KoreanHB to the limit, taking one set in a TB. Shcmad played cool, and 100% better than last time. I think more match play and some thoughts on playing strategy and he has potential. Patty, it was nice playing you afterwards and sorry for wearing you out. You did make me work a little bit and I hope you had luck with Miles. Thanks for getting us time at Burke.

P.S. Next meeting I'm brining out the radar gun. I am also bringing out a vision test for Korean and Patty.
that was a pretty good set...and the hit afterwards was fantastic. fyi i did win 6-2 6-0 6-4 but today we played two sets and split sets [didnt have enough time]

Great score against Miles. He seemed a little rusty and the fact he split sets means either he warmed up or you got sore from our play the day before. What did you pick on? Was his serve off?

Yeah Patty. Impressive since Miles was, I believe a former college player. Not sure if the Blue Hens are a tennis powerhouse? Are they?
How old was he? I like thinking I'm the oldest still putting you wippersnappers in their place. There can be only one as Patty knows.

he was a lot sharper today. today we split sets...he won the first set 7-5 [i did have a 4-2 lead in the first set] and i won the second 6-4

OMG...just came back from a hit against Monfils.
I probably played my best tennis in a long time, definitely best in 5-6 months...lost to him 7-6(5)...against a 4.5 player like him, I was VERY happy the way I played tonight...hopefully I can keep this up. It also gives me so much more confidence of my singles game.
I really like the new combo of SPPP/PSGD now. So much more power and better serve, though the backhand is not as good, but I will take my better forehand and serve anyday. Screw the OG Micro. It's junk....if anyone is curious of trying.

I tell ya this much. a PP vs. Sup match would not have this many problems. I think we should set that up, I am playin the PD+ lately, so I won't feel awkward getting bageled by a K90, Roddick does it all the time.
I'm anxious to get a hit in with some MAC members, I haven't had a real test with the PD+ yet.

Yeah...THE GUY has Federer-like talent..he can hit any kind of ball...short, long...side spins...whatever...but the problem is we don't know which one is coming, and the guy doesn't even know which one he is hitting.
Anyway, we should get together and do some SERIOUS meet (instead of just fooling around) before school starts.

Just a funny story to share. I was playing one of my buddies on Friday at Haynes Point. He had not hit in over a year but he still wanted to play some tennis. Anyway, I beat him 6-1, 6-0, 6-0. I dropped that one game becasue I was trying to hit winners on every other service return then I dropped an easy ball into the net. We also had some deuce games on his serve, but it was mainly because of the same reason. It was pretty bad, I was hitting my second serve with just spin and he had a hard time returning.
Anyway, after it was all said and done, he says with a straight face, "Well that was more competative than I orginally thought."
I'm like "HUH?" - I just beat you one, love, and love. Hard to get any less competative than that.
I think he's planning on getting his revenge later this winter as he's invited me to go out skiing. Don't be surpised if I show up to a TW-MAC meeting with casts on all four limbs.

Before the college kids go back to school (Jan 14th), we should have one more meeting. I would like to organize but need some feedback on what days are best. My goal is to get max participation.
Also, I would like to throw out the idea of having a brief "wood racquet" exhibition. Bring your wood racquet or borrow one, and we will have one quick super tiebreak tournament.
So when is everyone available?
