I didn't know guys, sorry. Getting an Xbox 360 and all I want is COD4, a Topspin game and something else. I hear Topspin 2 is terrible
get virtua tennis 3 its very good. but yeah they screwed up top spin 2 pretty bad its nothing like the origanol.

I play Topspin 2 because it's still a Tennis game, and even at it's worst it's still more realistic that Virtua Tennis. You should still be able to pick up the first Top Spin and play it on your 360 though. Top Spin 3 won't come out until Fall at the earliest.

I would probably get Virtua Tennis if it didn't have all that unnecessary diving.

I like fifa games better than tennis i don't know why...tennis games get boring very fast because there are not enough players

I agree with that completely. And at least in Topspin you can actually hit shots out of the court if you mess up.

Agree, its annoying and virtua tennis sux, no licences whatsoever it only looks pretty, top spin 2 is still better than VT3

I find soccer mnuch more boring than tennis, watching 22 guys or whatever running around chasing a ball during almost 2 hours with only what, 6 seconds of action, (pass, pass, comment guy goes nutz, another pass!, the comment guy its wetting his pants, another pass, shoots, comment guy faints, ball lands on the camera guy's face) yeah, lots of action eh?

I still play top spin 1..Virtua Tennis is just horrible online, stupid lag issues and that damn diving crap! But it does have most of the top players with there real swing movements which is pretty cool.

game is all about positioning and after awhile i dont dive unless im completely stretched. it takes getting used to. i dont like in topspin how u press the bottun and they run to it for you.

both. im around 200 in the mens tennis and top 150 womens. fifa im not to good at yet but i have alot of free time so ill get better.

I think I might get a PS3 for tennis and Call of duty instead...I dont have to pay for damn xbox live. Why pay when I can get it free....

umm for 50 bucks a YEAR, which is like 4 cents a day or sumtin, you get such good benefits gay station sh1twork doesnt have, PS lags like sh1t and i bet servers are constantly crashing, xbox live is always up and these holidays jumped from 7 million to 10 million ussers, besides, xbox 360 has games worth buying..

If I'm not mistaken it was XBL that had that huge Live blackout a couple weeks ago during the Holiday season? Isn't Microsoft giving everyone a free online game or something to make up for it because it lasted for so long? Very reliable indeed
BTW I've played Resistance Multiplater with 25+ guys with zero lag, come to think of it... I don't think my PS3 has ever lagged or crashed. It must have been your dial-up internet...

:lol: Don't lie. I have both a PS3 and a 360, with Verizon Highspeed internet. Besides the fact that the PS3 has weak ass games, it's online also is a huge disapointment. I get kicked out of probably half the games I play on there, which never happens to me on 360. It's gotten so bad I don't even play online anymore.

And seriously, what other good games go with Xbox other than Halo? Call of Duty 4? They have that on PS3 too. Oh yea I want a blueray player too and I don't feel like paying over 100 more for a HD-DVD drive.

i haven't played it cuz it's not out but i hope Youzny, Hewitt, and Gasquet are in it. I also hear Ivansevic is in it too
i have Virtua Tennis 3 and it's pretty good but too easy on very hard mode. you never hit an out shot and it's hard to really set up points or anything like that with all the diving. it's also hard to ace people in the higher difficulty levels.

yes, but they actually did something to fix it, it wasnt totally down and at leat they are giving something for free, which is something new for M$, anyway it happened because of the massive increase in users.

360 or PS3 in your opinion? I don't know many people with both. 2 of my friends have PS3 and they are telling me I am making a huge mistake not buying one...lol.

Fifa 08 is a drastically different game from its predecessors. The gameplay is much, much slower and 10x more realistic than the past installments. I have 07 and have played 08 on the 360 and the difference between the two is staggering. 08 is much more fun, however.
Top Spin 2 is an okay tennis game. Sometimes it's incredibly difficult to put away a volley without it going out. And sometimes a character will take a full two handed backhand topspin swing and it'll end up being a drop shot. I don't know how many times that's happened to me. Also, your character can't freakin' turn around and run. He always backpedals very, very slowly. Top Spin 1 was a much superior game. Hopefully TS3 will be better.

It's not even close for me, the games on the 360 blow away the PS3. I bought 5 PS3s when they came out, and sold four on ****, so I decided to keep the one. Big mistake, should've kept the money.

I have both and enjoy them both. I do enjoy my 360 to a greater degree though, better online component, massive library of games, and most of my buddies have 360's. I use my 360 as a Blu-Ray player and for some games that aren't multi-platform. But as I'm a huge Metal Gear and Final Fantasy fan, I had to get a PS3.

Yeah, I just bought as many as I could get while I was there. Sold them all for $400 over the retail price, each. Probably $800 more than they were worth....

Theres still a possibility that MGS is comming for the 360.. a lot of rumors always comming up, the designer himself talking about it and caught playing or looking at some 360 games and such..

i always used jim courier and owned. game was great. vt3 is really good i think alot of people gave up as soon as they started to dive instead of learning how to be in position. ive played the top 30 players a whoe bunch and its crazy how long rallies get. ive actually started sweeting from playing the number 3 player in the world. it took a solid 25 mins to play to a 4-2 loss for me. i was screaming for every point and cursing every one that i lost. topspin2 never made me do that as it just looked horrible.
Oh and origanol VT was greeat but best game ever was jimmy connors tennis on the SNES. that game was amazing if you have a chance to play it go do it.

Noveson, got the Xbox 360 yesterday and must say it really is unbelievable. Personally I like it more than PS3 too. Playing a game called Just Cause atm along with multiplayer Forza 2 which is pretty awesome!
Nice, I'm happy you like it. Yeah Forza is sweet, but I like Project Gotham better.

For the PS3. Whats the diferrence between the Motorstorm 80 gig pack and the regular 40 gig pack? Includes more extras?
The 40GB doesn't have any backwards capability for PS1/2 games. Other than hard drive size and free Motorstorm game obviously, I think that is it? The 80GB might also come with a remote control, but that might have been a promotion I saw and it might not actually come standard with it. I have the 60GB so I can't be of much help, sorry.

The 40gb and 80gb are identical.. except for the bundled game and HD size. They still will play some ps1/ps2 games, it just no longer has hardware for backwards compatibility but uses software emulation. The 60gb model is the only model that had hardware BC, but was discontinued.

The only time your character will dive is if you press the shot button too early, without setting your feet. If you set your characters feet in the game before hitting, you will not dive.

They are not identical, although all PS3's can play PS1 games, the 40GB CAN NOT play PS2 games. Here is a nice little list to make sure you don't go blabbing off again.
BTW The 20GB model also used a chip for backwards compatibility, so the 60GB wasn't "the only model".
