I've been playing with Dunlop M-Fill 200's for awhile now, and they are great racquets, but fatigue (a.k.a. I'm way out of shape) and injury issues (shoulder has been taking brutal punishment) are forcing me to go a little lighter in the weight department. Although it is a 18 x 20 string pattern, I'd like to know the spin production from the racquet also. Also since I do play quite abit at the net, I'd like to know how you feel the racquet plays from there.
Anyone play with Kfactor Teams?

plenty of spin, quite solid too. I'm more of a 16x18 guy though, so I went back to my 6.1s, also I'm not all that strong so the 6.1s give me a little more plow through, but the team is a great stick. Depending on the string, the team is a good stick, it swings heavier than its weight and is stable at net.
I had that impression too when I was serving with it for about 10 minutes, but I really didn't get enough time to really try it out. It seems that I can really juice up the serve, especially up the T. I also felt like I could really put some nasty topspin with the kick serve that I use.
Mainly I was just seeing how other people felt about the racquet, as I really need to go lower in the weight department, but still retain the 18 x 20 string pattern. Off the ground and at the net I haven't been able to try yet, but I'll see once I go demo it tommorow.

I think you'll like the spin. I dont know if its a relatively open drilled 18x20 bed or not, but I never had spin problems. I was not as comfortable at net with the team as I am with the 6.1s, but I wasn't uncomfortable overall either, i had good control with the stick.

Early last spring (07) I purchased a brand new Team and had it strung with Wilson Natural gut. It felt too light, hollow and very little response. For me, it was such a low feeling racquet I blamed it on the strings (Natural gut) for some reason. I thought there was little difference in my cheap syn gut than an expensive natural gut, so I swore I would never try gut again. I ended up getting gut around 6 weeks ago in a K90...best feeling I have ever had and the spin, feel and control was un matched. Based on that, It was more so the Team than Wilson Natural gut (which I have read is the same as Babolat VS). Be aware that the Team is very light. There is no plow through.
I know that, but at the rate my shoulder injuries are multiplying, I really have no choice but to switch to a much lower weight racquet.

its a great frame, i strung mine with an 18g kevlar hybrid
never had issues with spin, the frame is pretty stable too considering its weight
my game was in a funky state and i went with a lighter racq to get back into the groove, but i liked it so much i stuck with it for awhile(am playing with pres pro now)
i ended up selling em to my buddy who is having shoulder problems too
the soft feel and low weight is making that a lot more managable for him
a cheaper alt is the lm rad mp, which has similar specs, is a bit stiffer but very forgiving

what kind of strings are you playing? I had shoulder injury in the beginning of the summer and thought the Poly had something to do with it (based on other experiences on this board). I cut it out and have not used it since..shoulder issue gone. I had that shoulder pain for at least 2 months, so once got rid of the Poly it took a few weeks for the pain to go away.
Have you done a search for "arm friendly racquets"? Is the Team on that list?
I'm using a poly/multi hybrid of Technifibre Pro Red Code and Yonex Tour 850 (? I think) at 50 lbs.

Is the Red Code a softer poly? It could be poly giving you shoulder problems.
I gad to play with a demo last night (2 hour clinic) because my newly purchased K90's did not come until today. So I was forced to use the demo and it was strung with a Kirschbaum (not sure which) and I have to say, my forearm was a little sore and when I mishit I felt it. I just know it is the poly for me. can't use it.
Yea, the Pro Red Code is pretty soft in comparasion to some of the other polys out there. It's nowhere near the range of Luxilon.

I think that NBMJ post is probably why I say demo other racquets besides the Team. The problem I had was the Team had no stabiltity and never even thought of the sweetspot. Maybe that is why I thought it was the gut and not the racquet. Maybe demo a few racquets with similiar specs to the Team and go from there. What about the newer Becker racquets? My buddy just hit with this racquet and is most likely getting it. Here is the link:

I think you can find better (AND CHEAPER) alternatives to that one. I think both the LM Instinct and Radical MP are far better frames than this one (and A LOT cheaper too). I also think there are a couple of alternatives from TF which are preferable (there's a TF T-Fight 295, but I can't find it on TW, but it's available in Europe..maybe they don't sell it in the US??). Never played the Microgel version of the radical, but based on reviews I would say that one is preferable as well.
Ah, the dunlop 300 series (never played the M-Fil which is really cheap...but the AG version is a better racket as well) is another alternative.
Lots of options really....and most of them are cheaper on top of being more solid rackets.

I've been playing with the Team since December now and it's a nice racquet. I've hit the frame a couple of times though. That was probably just a lack of concentration on my behalf though.

I agree with slappano, the k6.1 and the k6.1 team are not even in the same league. The team is a more fluid, beam. more emphasis on the traditional style, while the k6.1 is a straight beam, mainly of graphite. I play with the k6.1 team and find it a good racquet overall, but lacking in the power category. I recommend stringing with a 16 gauge and at the lower tension (50 - 54 lbs).

Liked it and have been using it for 6 months. Actually I couldn't get much spin from the string pattern but stringing it with BABOLAT PHT 17 helped me. After a little it felt pretty light, not stable and not maneuverable as you can expect seeing the weight. The balance makes it feel like head heavy but it was a perfect transition racquet because it helped me going from a 105' to a 90' and anyway it's a good all-around racquet. Well worth the cost if you're a beginner, not so good if you're advanced. Hope this helps.
