cheapest arm-friendly strings?

I think a lot of people have good success with the Prince Synthetic Gut at about 3.75 per set (less per racquet per reel).

I am a Kirshbaum fan and use the supersmash honey in a 17.

Wilson Sensation is also a good buy for under $8. It is very arm friendly and provides good feel in any racquet. If your string pattern is really open or you play with an oversize head, then it might break a little easier. Good Luck in your search.

Babolat's Fibertour is tried and true. But you still need to share whether you are restricted to what the local shop has on hand, or plan to buy your strings for installation later.

I think some of the best inexpensive multifiliments are Alpha Prodigy, Head Fibergel Power, and Pro Supex Maxim Touch. I wouldn't hesitate to use any of them, especially in the crosses of a hybrid.

Yonex Tour Super 850 8.95 is a nice playing soft multi in your price range. Gamma Revelation 7.95 doesn't play quite as soft but is good too. Sensation is nice but does break very easily.

Babolat Conquest or Super Fineplay is noticeably softer than PSG. Even when handling it before stringing.

No, never used Axiom. I have a set here, just haven't strung it up yet. Have you tried it, and if you have, how did you like it?

Alpha Gut 2000 is solid price vs performance, lacks in durability for heavy topspinners.

The cheapest multi that I have found was around $4 is Alpha Ultra Spin Classic but it only comes in 15 gauge. There are 2 "ultra spins" a 'Solid Core' and 'Classic'. The Classic is the multi.

You can google "alpha ultra spin classic" and there a store w/ a link strt to the string, the package is blue.

Another vote for Prince Synthetic Gut w/ Duraflex (17g)

BTW for you other people who use this value string, how many hours do you log before restringing it?

PSGD may be cheap but it's hardly "arm-friendly". And, as far as Alpha Gut 2000--I'd recommend you verify the rate of tension loss; anything that breaks as easily and quickly as this string often does generally loses tension rapidly too.

I carry Alpha Gut 2000... its soft, cheap and my customers love it.... Also Prince Syn Gut Multi is another good soft string.

I recommend that my customers try Alpha Gut 2000, or Babalot Super Fine Play...but if the have arm problems I would they try gut. Not cheap, but it usually keeps them on the court...
