Lets get a meet soon, I will need about a week's notice so I can get the court(s), but lets start planning about 1 week or 2 weeks from now. What are your guys' schedules like? Sorry for being so absent lately
Lets also get a roll call!
Any weekend is fine. I got to go find myself a wooden stick.
Alright, i'll see what we can doI want to see DD with photos of the wilson trance all courts.
I've got league matches the next few weekends, but since I'm still battling an injury, I might not be playing. If not, I'd love to join you.
Let's do it. So, we've already had a couple of wood tennis sets. What should we do this time? Other non-wood vintage only? Super-OS only? (I might win that one!) I'm trying to buy a Weed from a guy who has one sitting in his closet so I can contribute at least three racquets to a super-OS fest.
Come join us for a TW meet sometime, we're still in planning for our next...Hey there, I'm not sure what this thread is all about, but I'm in the Mill Creek/Bothell area and was wondering if there was anyone around here that wanted to hit around. I'm not much of a league player, just want a hitting partner to hit with when the weather's nice.
More ideas:
1) Play left handed, assuming you aren't left handed.
2) Play blindfolded.
3) Play with Junior Rackets.
In all seriousness, I think playing with all OS is the most plausible.
Are you planning to quit for good? Or is something actually happening to your racquets?
Training for another bike ride? I've been busy, so I haven't been keeping up much...
I'm thinking 2 weeks out might be the date, I have to make sure no tennis club functions are going on, etc.
I'm still befuddled with the fact how anybody can just drop tennis from their life for good. Probably can stop playing in tournaments and stuff, but if the weather is blazing good, why not go hit the courts at your leisure. I can understand how someone can set an deadline to quit smoking... but to quit tennis?
Midlife, want a partner for some of your training ride, ping me.. would love to accompany you on your cycling training.
Currently, my training is solely riding home from work, a 32 mile route with six good hills and a middle section that I can ride at 23-25 MPH for a few miles. I haven't been able to find time to ride on the weekends, but if I do ever get there, I'll give you a yell. Let's talk at the get-together - maybe I'll bring my bike so you can check it out.
That a good training ride. I mostly on flat road with a few roller now and then. I probably good as a roller more than a hill climber, 20 more less lbs would be helpful for hill climb. Yeah, get me a yell when you want to ride on the weekend. Do you work the big company in Redmond. I may joined there soon, so figurely we could so some thing at lunch time sometime
The very best of luck to all of you, and I'll see you guys around here again in a couple of years!
