Please Help Me Choose The Right Shoe?

okay everyone i am currently wearing the Nike Air Oscillate,its not a bad shoe, but lately my right and left knee is hurting a little so i did buy a nike compression sleeve,but i was thinking maybe to change shoes to something with more cushioning.I only play on hard courts,but i play about 4 hours of tennis on average about 3-4 times per week. What do you guys think i should get.

Here is what i am thinking of getting:

1. Adidas Barricade V
2. Adidas Barricade II
3. Asics Gel Resolution
4. Nike Air Vapor V
5. Nike Air Max Breathe Cage II
6. Adidas Roland Garros Feather III

Is there such a thing as 2008 edition Donnay shoes? :-?

if you're knee is already hurthing - kswiss are the shoes for you. or asics gel resolution or perhaps barricade II. The barricade Vs are comfortable, but their comfort comes from their design rather than cushioning. k-swiss most cushioned, but at the expense of fit. Asics best compromise between the two extremes.

Babolat propulse also another good compromise - above aberage cushioning, and above average fit around the foot - only problem is it is incredibly narrow.

i am right now using the nike air oscillates, but they are no that comfortable i would say they are a great shoe but comfert wise, there is not really any cushioning, i think maybe i should get the asics

Breathe Cage 2 has great cusioning but i voted for Vapor's.

If comfort is of primary importance you need to pay attention to two things. Firstly, the 'flex point of the shoe'. Essentially this is just where the shoe bends (hold the shoe in two hands, one at the toe and one at the heel, bend the shoe). The further the flex point is away from the toe, the worse the shoe. Second is the cushioning of the shoe. Asics is the best you'll get (according to podiatrists) of all brands and their Gel Resolution should be at the top of your list. Of the other brands, Prince T10 and T9 are exceptionally good and the Adidas Barricade, while not as cushioned, offers an excellent blend of cushioning, support and stability. Nike are notoriously bad in pretty much every department (build quality, cushioning, stability, etc) and I would wipe them from your list completely. The Feather isn't an appropriate shoe for hard-court play. Of course you can use it but the tread pattern will wear down very quickly and there just isn't enough cushioning or support for use on hard surfaces (which is why they're designed for clay).

I would have your list (to check) as:

1. Asics Gel Resolution
2. Adidas Barricade IV (I've found the flex point to be better than in the V)
3. Prince t9/Prince t10/ Prince t20
4. Adidas Barricade II

I've worn nearly all on the list. The Asics are far and away my favorite.

In just comfort the Asics will easily beat every other shoe on the list, I have worn all of them.

I rotate between the Asics and the B V's, BV's for the durability and the Asics for how well they feel on my feet.

what about the barricade IV are those more comfortable than the asics does anyone know

The Prince MC4's are by far the most "cushiest" shoe I have ever worn. Much more comfort that the Barricades, Nike and even the Prince T9/10/20 series. I have worn the Asics in the store and they were comfortable but not in the same league as the MC4 in terms of cushion. They ended up being too narrow in the toebox for me. I also had the Barricade V's for a while and they were outstanding performance shoes but not very cushioned at all. I gave them up for the Nike Breathe Free II's. I wore them for about 2 weeks and I am now back to the Price MC4's.

Barricade IIs felt like two pillows on my feet.

depends on your feet. i hate barricades in general and love the asics. its incredible how good the resolutions are coming from a brand known more for running shoes and retro casual. i just wish TW would get the black.

Asics for sure, their gel technology absorbs the shock very well. I think those are probably your best bet as some of the others have stated.
