yeah i don't recommend the cc booms. the durability of the outsole is terrible. a friend of mine put a hole in it in about 1-2months.

I am more than happy with the Air Max Cross Trainer. Despite the retro looks, this is an extremely well cushioned and supportive shoe that also happens to be light and has a low, responsive ride. It does not take a back seat to my other shoes, Barricade V's and Yonex SHT306's. They are priced right, too.

The K-swiss ultra natural are awesome. They are super light and very durable also. On sale for $59.

barricade IV's are the king of hardcourts.

ultimate durability and traction. (even over B V's)

I too own a pair of CC Boom Edge shoes. If the goal is durability, I'm not sure they fit the bill, as my toe dragging is already showing with limited play. I like the shoe in all other regards, especially the ventilation, but would cautiously recommend them not really knowing how long they'll last yet.

Why not look at the Nike Breathe Free II, which is reputed to wear well and be a very solid overall shoe with a 6 month guarantee? At the top of your range, but worth a look.
