You know, not that I can't try to get free time, but if you want... and its okay to say otherwise...but if McLovin is getting ready for a tournament, I can run both you guys through drills.
Reason i say that, is because I wont have any problems getting a court from the director. Otherwise it depends on her mood. She seems cool most of the time, but it may be a busy week with so many peeps off work. So.....
So 2 hours for $37.50 each. 1 hour drills, 1 hour you two can play each other. Get Mclovin set and ready.

I'd be down for whatever. Two hours of hitting, could also do some drills, either/or. I would like to have some hitting time, as point construction will give me an even better idea of whether or not to purchase MComp's as opposed to just drilling. And the least money spent option would be preferential for me on the verge of buying new frames.

I thought they lost their tennis courts. Their website doesnt list indoor courts anymore. They used to have them. *shrug*.

The courts are now being operated separately...that part of the club was indeed sold. The court facility is no longer under the Sport and Health umbrella.

I'm in work by 6, so I'm good for any morning times. Early evening is out as I have stuff going on Monday & Tuesday evening, and I can't judge what traffic will be like so close to X-mas (i.e. can't afford a 2-hour commute.)
Oh, and the sticks are down to $140 all around, but I do have a 10% coupon from that place in the mid-west. Its good until the end of the year...

Oh yeah...another mixed match, another sandbagger. Guy was just bumped to 4.0 (after playing a season of 3.5 AND 4.5!!!), gal was a 3.5. We held our own for most of the match, but he went into overdrive, and we lost 5-7, 1-6. *sigh*
Sup, we played well, though...our best match yet! I do think, when we play the next season (which is the official USTA season), our results will be much better (especially after playing with all these sandbaggers this season!).

It is because this league is during the end of the USTA year. Ratings are updated halfway through the season, and people are allowed to play out at their lower rating. It allows for a lot of abuse, but that is also why this is not the 'official' USTA mixed season.

I think it has something to do with not winning matches!
Though, many people who did beat me got moved up. Beating Topaz does wonders for everyones' ratings, except for mine!!!

Um, yeah, but I would like to think the hard work I've done on footwork and improving my technique and strategy will make the biggest difference. Yes, the new racquet is very nice, very comfortable, helps me with control, and I'm glad I switched; but like I saw another poster write in another thread...it isn't the arrow, but the indian!!! Regardless of racquet, it is still up to *me* to get the job done.

When: Dec 27th - Get there 11:30. Matches end 4pm.
Who: Anyone who wants to play.
How: Cost is $20 bucks. You win you get lots of goodies.
