alice - awesome that you're coming out tomorrow! i just emailed you my number in case you need to contact me tomorrow. mrs. jjjosh will probably want to play with you tomorrow but i call first challenge match against alice! double points, how can i pass that up!

tfm, need a program to cut scenes from a mov file. windows movie maker wasn't able to import it. i need the clips for the following:

Sap you can try to convert to AVI and then use movie maker.
AVS Converter seems to work. I have never dealt with MOV before though. And its free.

But yea i would say I was getting in position as good as any other time. But yea I was probably a bit out in front. which is why I had to go into SHCMAD mode and hit everything with no topspin. when you swing flat theres not as much frame shots

Knee injuries make me cringe, well that and harassing jerk-captain stories. Try a lot of ice, elevation, and start to test out your range of motion. Give me a call for any questions/concerns/opinions.

And Auzzie: I totally rocked the ASICS look from shoulder to toe. Had to wear a swoosh bandana sweat band, but the color was cool.

looks (from my google research) like i have either a 2nd degree sprain or a ruptured MCL.
there was a POP and a brief moment of sharp pain but then nothing... now it is just instability and pain if i move it the wrong way. but i can walk straight ahead like nothing happened. but i have a GREAT reason/excuse to prop my feet up and watch tv now. woooooooooooooooo
but i really want to be playing tennis. sniff
2nd degree rest/healing time is 6-8 weeks :shock:
this is good news though:
Interestingly the MCL is the only ligament that has enough of a vascular supply that it can heal a partial tear without surgery.
i messed my right MCL up on a motorcycle (ok 50cc scooter
I kind of think it may be something else, but you should still get it checked out by an orthopedic surgeon. Regular doctors probably won't tell you much.
Brgr and I didn't play yesterday, but I will definitely play you whenever you like. We don't need 5 sets to register scores on tennisengine though

dr. Auz, unfortunately it is my MCL. besides the ligament "pop" that i felt, now, if i ignore the pain, i can totally wobble my leg back and forth like it isn't connected on the inside anymore.
i have an immobilizing brace on it and i am going to hope it repairs if i keep it locked down. didn't get much sleep last night... couldn't move without hurting it.
you guys have fun playing tennis.. see you in late June hopefully.

As for my fun weekend wrap up. After having a fever and a non-stop, blinding headache for about 10 hours straight, went to the emergency ward last night.
Turned out, the headache was mostly caused by a sinus infection. Gave me an antibiotic horse pill and some Tylenol and I was out of there in about 3 hours. Head still hurts a little bit though, but I'm on the road to recovery.
One thing that's great about living near Reston is their emergency ward is NEVER crowded. They had me in a room and with a doctor in about 15 minutes.
Oh! and scores. Have to have scores.

Oh Skunk, I wish I could! I had a singles match Friday, then played a few hours yesterday, had clinic this morning...and have another singles match tomorrow. I think I'm 'done' for now...and I'm contemplating a nap!
Next weekend, though, I have a DC match on Saturday, but it is only dubs, and at 8am! I *may* have a singles match on Sunday (but unlikely, I think, unless they really are short people), so I could be good for either later on Saturday or Sunday? I could reserve some Wakefield courts maybe?
Let's check back in a few days, ok? I should know by then if I'm scheduled Sunday or not.

New Star Trek = AWESOME! Love all the characters; they pretty much nail the quirks and foibles of the initial cast, except Uhura, who is more assertive and aggressive in ST 09.
Loved Karl Urban as McCoy, my favorite character because he reminds me of - me? Also loved Eric Bana, another of those Australian actors, as the bad guy.

TWMAC camping trip
Any interest in doing a one night camping trip. Fishing, food, tent, stars, drinking... etc. Maybe a Saturday .. return Sunday.
I was thinking near Front Royal. about an hours drive. Or better.. we can camp behind Alice's house. LOL.

I must insist on just one night for several reasons.
I need to shower, I refuse to go to the bathroom in the woods and three.. 24 hours with you guys is more than enough fun. The front royal spot i know has a canoe rental place about 10 minutes away, a river to fish from, and a shower/bathroom at the canoe place.
The canoe trips are fun. Fishing is boring but i figure some peeps like that stuff. I really go for the liquor, getting back to nature and the large amounts of good food. Like kabobs, rice, alice's cookies or muffins, ...etc.
Right now is a good time. Before it gets way too hot.

I know I just put out the camping trip, but along with that I thought maybe we can have a wine/beer tasting event.
Bring your favorite beer or wine. We pour it for everyone to sample, without letting them know which is which and you judge. I find it humorous (usually at my own expense) that the cheap wine wins most of the time.
Maybe a Friday evening. Again in Alice's backyard. Kidding.
I could host? TFM? Sappy? Dats how about you? You mentioned a happy hour/bbq. Maybe this is perfect for you. Have it all at once. Quick early Friday evening. OR we have it at the camping trip.
