Nadal + Clay season= Snoozefest Galor. Lets skip to Grass season

Hes not even going to lose a tournament on clay.. Extremely predictable. We all know he is going to win RG. Hes won all the clay tourneys.

Lets skip to Grass season.. Shall we? There may be some surprising devlopements on grass this year. We may see Murray interject himself at Wimbeldon and take out Fed or Nadal at Wimby. Could happen. Obviously there is nothing surprising about the clay season and there will be no surprises at RG either. Either a Nadal- Fed final or a Djoker- Nadal final

Well, if they give Nadal the trophys and the better H2H against the opponents he should face, sure. Otherwise not. In fact, forget it, I just like watching Nadal whoop everybody on clay. Let the clay season continue.

I know what you mean, he's just way ahead of everyone. It wouldn't be too much of a problem if he was doing it in an attractive way, but for me, his matches are a bit of a chore to watch.

1, Murray won't win Wimbledon. At least not this year.
2. Djoker can win it but I doubt it.
3. Just once? They're #3 and 4 and Djokovic won an AO whereas Murray has won some Masters. They've made noise.

In the 90's....

Pete + Grass season = Snooze fest Galore. Thankfully some geniuses at the ATP started to promote slower court surfaces that produces more entertaining matches, not the dull, boring and short points serving fest matches!

Thank God the S&V era that killed tennis popularity is over!

Naah, let's skip the grass as well.
Players don't seem to feel comfortable at all on the grass courts nowadays.
There's just a bunch of tennis players who are actually able to play a high level tennis on grass courts.

I for one would rather see the rest of the fantastic tennis that clay offers. THen skip the green stuff, leave it for the golf course, and head right the the summer HC season.

I think we should skip from clay season to clay season, except the USO open, change that to green clay again, then it can be played too :twisted:.

Why aren't champions ever appreciated during their greatness? Federer was derided for being great and making every tournament result predictable. Now that he's declining. I, for one, probably the only one, loved it when Federer was dominating and he had some jaw-dropping shots every match. Now I am appreciating and respecting what Nadal is doing. I personally like dominance, rather than the up-and-down of the women's game right now. I like watching greatness. Perhaps some people like mediocrity.

I like that way that sounds to some extent. I really like clay to be sure but I'm also a big fan of the H/C too.

Oh, for sure, I like all surfaces too (although my favourite is clay). I'm just tired of people constantly bashing clay just because Nadal dominates. Apparently when Sampras or Federer dominated Wimbledon it was not boring, but now that Nadal dominates RG, it's boring :-?.

The clay season is boring, but it's not Nadal's fault. The guy is playing at an incredible level and deserves every piece of trophy he gets. He's nearly unbeatable on clay for a few years now, and he isn't showing signs of going away. It's up to his competitors to step it up and give him a real fight on clay.

Which won't happen in nadal's peak years its when he's around federer's age when the weapons will become less effective like his speed footwork forehand etc....

RIGHT HERE people, the difference between fed and nad fans. Fed fans give nadal credit where due, and obvioulsy he has taken clay court tennis to a new level, perhaps even GOAT. However i NEVER see nad fans give fed ANY sort of credit for anything. pathetic

Interesting tennis comes in the summer hardcourt season. The US Open was the most interesting slam last year. The AO had shock factor but people did see Novak winning. The FO was predictable nobody excepted the demolishing Nadal did but nobody was overly surprised. Wimbleodn Nadal winning was of no huge shock most expected it, but going into the US Open for the first time all year there were four players and people actually could not pick one. This year I think hardcourt field runs even deep outside of the top four we have Roddick, Tsogna, Del Potro, Cilic, Simon, Monfils, Verdasco and guys like Safin are still hanging around with Blake and Nalby who could do a bit of damage if they hit a streak and Querrey, Fish, Karlovic, Berdych, Gonzo oh and lets not forget Gulbis is ready to breakthrough...

Yea Lets skip to then. Grass court I can imagine will be filled with stupid upsets as tons of top players can't handle grass for some reason and we will see another Nadal/Fed final...unless Ancic magically sparks up, Roddick actually gets over his Fedsickness or Djoker and Murray grow a few cojones I don't think grass season is an upgrade from clay.

Call me in the summer.

It is only sad Richie is not around.
